“Emerson was great! She showed up on time, and followed instructions to a tea. And had zero problems with my 6 month old Malinois, and other large dog! Even in the pouring rain. Would recommend her for any of your pets needs :)”

“Beth was wonderful! She did a last minute drop in for our two dogs which I am grateful for. She stayed in contact, sent lots of pics, and followed all directions. I'd definitely book Beth again. Thank you!”

“Brynn showed up on schedule and took our big dog Cassie for a walk and then had play time. Cassie seemed very happy in the photos and when we got home. Brynn even cleaned up some vomit on the floor. Will use her again!”

“Stephanie did a great job watching our pups over a long weekend. She provided detailed information for each visit, and shared pictures of the pups. Our dogs seemed instantly comfortable with her during the meet and greet, and we felt at ease knowing she was watching them.”

“Absolutely incredible sitter! Great communication, tons of pictures, and my cats obviously really liked her which is the biggest plus! I hate leaving my pets for extended periods of time but Marion put me immediately at ease after her first visit. Highly highly recommend for your pets!”

“Clarke was very attentive and took care of my kitties great. They are usually shy with new people but seemed to come out of their shell with her and we're comfortable. I would highly recommend Clarke😻”

About: Since I was a young girl I was always the family remember in charge of making sure our pets were fed, entertained, trained and given exercise. Around the age of 10 was my first time watching over our neighbors new puppy as they went on vacation. At the time I was nervous but my energetic energy matched the puppy perfectly. Currently i’m renting an apartment at my college UNH with my cat and a roommate. My neighbors who have pets continuously asked me to watch them because of how much time and energy I put into carrying for them. Sometimes I only watch them for the day when work or school takes over and other for extended periods of time. If this becomes the case I make sure to walk and entertained the pet so that they don’t feel lonely. Cat sitting in house is my most common form of cat sitting. Cats and dogs have very different needs from a sitter that I can provide with my years of experience working and owning my own pets I’m currently on summer break until August so my availability to spend time with your fur babies is very open. Keeping in mind that it is still my break there will be times in which I wish to fully experience my summer :) If there is a fenced in yard or not, I still plan to take pups on daily leash walks to ensure safety of the both of us. Ultimately whatever the client feels most comfortable and confident with I will ensure to use those methods. This can include crate use, specific walk routes, specific animal preferences and more.
“Kate is dependable and great with our kitties. Our kitties seem very happy when she visits. Kate sends a pic of each kitty for every visit. Even our skittish cat comes out of hiding. Thank you Kate.”

“Our scheduled pet sitter canceled and in desperation, I searched the internet and found Rover. I sent out my request and in minutes James responded. I was instantly relieved. He came over to visit us before leaving for vacation to meet us and our pets. James administered medication and took wonderful care of our 4 cats and dog. We are super grateful for all the help and services James provided us. We will definitely rebook again!!!”

About: Hey, I’m Rae (she/they) I show up with care, patience, and reliability, and I’m here to support your pets in a way that feels safe and respectful for everyone involved. 🐾 My experience with animals began early. At 14, I worked at a large dog boarding kennel and daycare, where I handled daily dog walks, kennel care, feeding routines, and daycare rotations. That foundation taught me how to work calmly and responsibly with many different temperaments and needs. Professionally, I work as an accountant, which means I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and communicative. Outside of that work, spending time with animals is grounding and meaningful for me. I also want to be transparent that my 8-year-old child may sometimes accompany me during pet-sitting or walking duties. They are kind, respectful of animals, and always under my direct supervision. I only bring them along when it’s appropriate for the pet, the setting, and the client’s comfort—and I’m always happy to discuss boundaries or preferences. For a first meet-and-greet, I’m happy to meet somewhere local and comfortable. A neutral option is the Dog Park at Longhill Memorial Park (32 Longhill Road, Dover, NH 03820), or we can meet at my apartment leasing office, or at your home if preferred. I look forward to caring for your fur-babies with attentiveness, honesty, and care—and offering you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. 💗 I work as an accountant and my days are flexible mainly dependent on the business day of the month. I work from home so it’s easy for me to make accomodations and meet animals needs. Whatever accommodations needed we will discuss upfront! We will ensure we are a proper match before engaging in business. I am able to lift 50lbs and can walk long distances. I also want to be transparent that my 8-year-old child may sometimes accompany me during pet-sitting or walking duties. They are kind, respectful of animals, and always under my direct supervision. “So glad I found Tara to watch my 6-month old pup for the day while I needed to travel to a meeting. As a mostly work from home dog mom, I was nervous about leaving my boy with someone new for the first time. Tara put me (and my Murphy) at ease! I came home from my meeting and he was as content as can be. We will definitely be using Tara again!”

“Great first experience!! Ashley was so attentive to Jesse. We got lots of pictures and I felt totally comfortable with him being at home knowing she was coming to see him. Great communication. We’ll definitely be using her again!”

“Alyssa is absolutely wonderful. I have a new puppy...and have to work. Alyssa stops in midday to check in on him. She goes above and beyond. Not only does she care for and play with him, but she also takes the time to help reinforce his training. Hank and I think Alyssa is the best!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Berwick. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
