About: I have had my dog for over 9 years. She is very good with others. I have a fenced in backyard, and a doggy door of the screened porch. When we are home during the day in good temperatures, the door to the house will be open giving dogs the freedom of where they want to relax or play. I am currently a stay at home Mom to my wonderful twins therefore I have a pretty flexible schedule I can work around, especially if it avoids the kids naps. I have a fenced in backyard that is connected to the house via a screened in porch so there are many options of where to hang out. At night everyone is inside.
“Incredibly nice and caring family. I couldn't have asked for better care. They treated my pups like family and flooded my inbox with pictures during my trip. I have an elderly pug and they carried her up/down stairs for a week+ so she wouldn't exert herself. I have already booked another stay and will continue to drop my pups off with them as long as they are happy to help me out.”

“Julia was amazing with our puppy and went above and beyond to take care of him as well as to keep us up to date with how everything was going, would highly recommend her to anyone”

“I am so glad and grateful that Shana and Dylan watched my pup this week. I could not have asked for anyone better!! I adopted my dog less than two weeks ago and - still getting to know her - had a trip planned and needed to board her for 5 days. I was hoping for someone to treat my dog like their own and Shana and Dylan did just that. In fact, they went above and beyond what I could’ve hoped for - letting her snuggle with them at night, sending me frequent updates and pup pics, going out of their way to pick up beef and rice and cook it for my girl when her stool was soft, and packing the rest to go when I picked her up. Their dog Cleo is a sweetheart, and joined in on the doggy snuggles. I know if I ever need a sitter again I’ll be reaching out to Shana.”

“Veska took wonderful care of our 7 year old lab. He was made to feel a part of her family. He got lots of love and exercise. Veska took the time to send many daily updates with pictures. I highly recommend her services.”

About: I'm an experienced house and pet sitter with 30+ completed sits along the East Coast through TrustedHousesitters and personal referrals. Testimonials here: ........ I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including senior pets, animals with anxiety or trauma histories, and pets with special needs. I'm comfortable administering medications and following detailed care routines. What you can expect: I learn each animal's routine rather than applying one approach to every pet. I send daily photo updates. I'm naturally tidy and leave homes clean and calm, and I'm glad to look after plants or a garden while I'm there. A few practical notes, so we can both tell early whether it's a good fit: 1. Meet & greet before every first booking. I require a video call or an in-person visit so we can both assess fit. You get to meet me and ask whatever you need to; I get to meet your pet and see the space. Until we've had that conversation, please treat my response as interest rather than a confirmed booking, and keep your other options open. I won't accept a booking before a meet and greet for house sitting. 2. Weekday availability. I see clients on video Monday through Friday, 10a–4p. I'm in the home the whole time, so your pets get frequent short breaks and company throughout the day, but I'm not available for walks or errands during those hours. I am able to support potty breaks during the 12:00-1:00pm hour. 3. Workspace. I need a desk or table at standard height with a supportive chair — not a dining chair, stool, couch, or bed — in a room with a door that closes, plus wifi that reliably holds a video call. I bring my own laptop, monitor, and stand, so I only need the surface and the space. My sessions are confidential, so I can't be interrupted or overheard once I'm on. If you're unsure whether your setup works, a quick video walkthrough settles it in two minutes. 4. Pets I care for. Calm adult dogs and cats. I'm not currently accepting puppies under a year, and I'd want to talk first about dogs with a bite history, special medical needs, or significant reactivity. 5. Service area. Based in the Portsmouth/Eliot area; I generally take bookings within about 25 miles. 6. Notice. At least two days for new clients, and more when possible for longer stays. Tell me about your pet — their routines, quirks, and what makes them feel safest. I'd love to hear it! I work from home with structured hours, which allows me to be available for walks, feeding, medication schedules, playtime, and companionship at certain times of the day, roughly every 3-4 hours. My approach is calm and intentional. I honor your pet’s established rhythm and do my best to create a grounded environment that feels like home. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priority is to maintain a sense of safety, routine, and calm. I take time to learn your pet’s unique routines, preferences, and personality so I can offer care that feels familiar. In the home, I’m quiet, clean, and respectful of your space. I aim to leave things just as I found them—or better. I water plants, bring in mail, manage light tidying, and keep things running smoothly so you can return home with ease. I also provide thoughtful updates with photos and check-ins, so you feel connected while away.
About: I have been surrounded by animals since I was little. I had cats at home and started horseback riding when I was six. Now, I am living in New Hampshire for 3 years, with my husband, our two dogs, our cat... only our mare stayed in France. I do not work, so I am available to take care of your pets. I can groom them, administer medicine (with clear instructions), walk them or just cuddle them. I may be out 4 hours max for my english lessons. We moved to the United States for my husband's job; I don't work, so I would be delighted to look after your babies as if they were my own. I take English classes twice a week in the morning, but I am completely free the rest of the time. At my home, your dogs will be treated just like mine, with access to the garden and unlimited playtime and naps. Introductions to my own dogs will be handled gently—especially with Flack, who can take a little time to warm up but is used to meeting plenty of doggy friends back in France. At your home, I will follow your instructions; since my English isn't perfect yet, please feel free to leave written notes.
“We left our Cooper (very last minute!) with Jennifer these past 3 days, and felt as if we left him with Family! Jennifer was so attentive to Cooper and every few hours she sent us pictures of him. It was truly a most wonderful experience, and Jennifer was a loving, caring and thoughtful host! So much gratitude to her and her beautiful family!!”

“My dog Ozzy loved it! Gary was a great sitter and has a backyard built for dogs. We call it “Camp Gary” because it looks like a summer camp for dogs. Gary will send daily pictures and updates, which I appreciated.”

“Kelly took excellent care of my dog while I was away for the weekend, and she was so communicative and kept me totally up to date. She was also so patient when my pup unfortunately had an upset tummy! Thank you Kelly!”

“Ziggy was well cared for and came back happy after another great stay with Kyle and Kaleigh. There were highly responsive and flexible with drop off and pick up times, etc. highly recommend!”

“Emerson was great! She showed up on time, and followed instructions to a tea. And had zero problems with my 6 month old Malinois, and other large dog! Even in the pouring rain. Would recommend her for any of your pets needs :)”

“We were in a pinch & had to leave our cat Sam to stay overnight while we went out of town for a funeral & Beth really helped us out last minute! Affordable price, & she sent lots of updates! When I picked up my sweet boy he was very happy. 10/10 recommend Beth!!”

“As always, Chelsea did an amazing job pet sitting our 3 needy kitties! She proficiently carries out their (annoyingly specific) feeding/medication instructions and cares for them as if they were her own! We are happy to be repeat customers with her :)”

“Makenzie was great! She kept me updated throughout my trip, took great care of my cat, and made sure to spend time playing with him while I was away. She also shared lots of great photos, which I loved getting. She really helped ease my anxiety about leaving him and gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands!”

“Thank you for helping us out so last minute - it’s wonderful having someone so trusting and good with our cats that is local to help when we are out of town. We love that they know and like you!”

About: Hi! My name is Angie, caring for cats has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've been around cats for my entire life and have over 10 years of pet sitting experience, so I understand that every cat has their own unique personality, preferences, and routine. In addition to pet sitting, I currently work as a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital. This experience has given me the knowledge and confidence to care for cats with a wide range of needs, including administering medications, injections, and providing extra attention for those with medical conditions. As a cat owner and animal care professional, I know how important it is to leave your pet in the hands of someone you trust. Whether your cat loves to play, enjoys quiet companionship, or prefers their space, I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible and give you peace of mind through regular updates and plenty of photos. I treat every cat as if they were my own, and I would love the opportunity to get to know yours!

“Our dog was so tired and content by the end of their day with Enzo and Enzo's dog. Adorable picture of them playing/hanging out outside. Communication was super easy and prompt, we felt really comfortable with our pup being in their care, and would recommend them to watch anybody's fur baby!!”

“I can not recommend Gary and his wife enough. They were absolutely wonderful and a breath of fresh air. My boy is my absolute world and we both have a little separation anxiety. Gary was very patient, understanding, and worked so well to make him feel safe and secure while in their care. They were very responsive and provided daily updates. Our boy was very happy and had a great time. I’m so happy to have found someone that I trust him with. We will 100% use Gary again.”

“We contacted Jeanne for daycare for our 2 dogs while we were camping nearby at Pinederosa. Jeanne was delightful and our dogs loved being there. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space too. Our corgi has lots of energy & our small adopted dog is a little anxious. Jeanne made them both feel safe and happy for the day. Thank you!”

“Becky is as close to perfect as one can get. She is thoughtful, caring, happy and reliable. Seriously do not know what we’d do without her to care for our very shy doggie - who can get into trouble now and then and she goes out of her way to help when we need, Thank you Becky 💛💛💛 Nothing but respect!”

“Karen was kind and very easy going! Our dog is very nervous and he was calm and relaxed by the time we returned. Karen and her partner were very nice. She made our Christmas Eve dinner possible. Highly recommend!”

“Louis had the very best day - (he told me so). Within 2 seconds of being in the car, he passed out. The little doggy pool was right up his alley. Thanks so much for taking such great care of him.”

“Ashley is amazing with dogs, and provides a safe yet busy and fun environment that all but guarantees leaving your pup happy and tired. We are so thrilled to have found her and plan to leave our mini doodle Sam with her again and again. Highly recommended!”

About: Hello!! I grew up around cats and dogs, starting my first job at 14 as our neighborhood dog walker. I currently have a dog & a cat. I have a lot of experience with dog sitting and spend most of my free time with my pets! I also take care of many family pets when their owners are away. I also have experience caring for small animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits! Wondering why you should pick me over others? I don’t think I’ve ever been around an animal that isn’t genuinely happy to see me or be around me. Your pet will be treated like the prince/princess it is in my presence. Pets are so special, don’t give them anything less than what they deserve! I’m currently part of a medical assistant program that allows me to create my work schedule and have most of my schooling online! I have plenty of free time right now! I do not currently have a fenced in backyard, but do have 40 acres of free roaming space for dogs to roam or be taken on walks around. Also trails nearby for walks. My home itself is always filled with comfy places, lots of toys, and all of our 5 animals get along very well. I have a toddler which has been a big transition but she loves our animals and absolutely enjoys taking care of them like her mom!! I am very particular about giving your pet exceptional care in your home and in mine! I will always make sure they have what they need and are comfortable.
About: I've always had a natural connection with dogs since childhood. Dogs have always gravitated to my calm energy and ability to sense their needs. Your dog will not just be taken care of but will feel safe like they're spending time with an old friend. Retired computer nerd and musician available for dog walking and house visits most days of the week. Some dogs are welcome in our home with fenced in yard and 5 y.o. yellow lab Norma for playtime and companionship. My wife and I live in a wooded area in York with a large fenced in back yard. We are both retired and home most of the day to keep an eye on the pups. I am available for long or short visits to your home for dog walks and exercise to suite your needs. I am an avid walker and walk daily. I am fully insured with pet sitting/walking insurance.
“Peter T knows his dogs. He is the most caring, knowledgeable, compassionate guy. My Rosie loved him from the get go. Look no further for the person who takes as much care and love as Peter T. I would drive from Massachusetts to Wells ME for this guy!!!! My husbands stress level dropped when we left her with him. On a scale of 1-5, i’d give him a 5 being the best st what he does.”

“Hannah was excellent. She responded to me quickly—very important when you have left your search til the last day. She was clear, always very nice, calming, and she checked to be sure that my dog, Frances, had a temperament which did not object to the presence of her, evidently mellow, two dogs and one cat—she was just very good at customer service. I felt very secure with my dog staying in her (and her husband’s) care. She (and they) obviously knows and cares for dogs. I had useful feedback from the visit (my dog was fine with her cat—(and dogs)—though she has had very little exposure to cats—so it appears vibes are what count with Frances. ) Hannah was friendly even when I changed my time plans on the actual day, oh-so-gently informing me she would definitely modify whenever she could, but she was dealing as well with other customers’ sometimes conflicting schedules. She was very good!”

“Jason is a lifesaver! We are so lucky to have him. He is super reliable, always cheerful and patient. Our dogs aren’t easy, but he handles them in stride and has earned their trust. If you’re looking for someone, Jason is a great choice.”

About: I’ve taken care of a family dog Chihuahua for the past 8 years. I enjoy taking her on walks and giving her all the attention she deserves! I currently am on a job rotation in Maine. I am unable to take the step to caring for a dog full time, but I’d love to fill the void with weekly care! I care for a dog like I’d care for a family member. It’s important for me to create a comfortable environment for the dog to hang around in
“Drew has truly been amazing at taking care of our little puppy ! She has been very easy to communicate with and very flexible. Given that our schedules change frequently. She gives us updates on Callaway and even offered extra help when Callaway was sick. Can’t thank her enough!”

About: Ive worked at multiple dog daycares in around the U.S. including CA, GA, NH, and MA. Im used to watching groups up to 30 while playing and monitoring pet behaviors. I enjoy walking for miles and prefer walking over gas guzzeling. Ive grown up with my own dogs and had great times with them while they were here. I miss them dearly but im thankful i had them because now i know what direction id like to go in life and which friends i work best with. I enjoy cats as well and really just enjoy a calm meowllow mood when supervising a feline friend. I like to do treat training when and if necessary and i enjoy doing my best to make sure a dog feels loved and attended to while the pet owner is away. At the moment i am working with dogs in boston on weekends until monday mornings, but Tuesday thru friday mornings or early afternoons im available, but please feel free to reach out at anytime for drop in boarding services All walks will be done on leash. I do not allow for random encounters with strangers or other dogs without the pet parents consent. I tend to walk the local preferred paths.
“Sarah has been walking Jenny weekly for a month or so now in the middle of the day. She has been lovely, and taken Jenny on adventures around town. Sarah has also been flexible when my schedule has changed which I appreciate. I will definitely be booking again!”

“April is wonderful! Tchotchke is a full throttle puller and she helped to get him walking more with us instead of ahead of us. She handled our mastiff with care and the stern correction he needed. I felt as though our grumpy old man was just as well taken care of with April as I would care for him myself!”

“Clarke is a wonderful dog walker: responsible, communicative, dependable, and wonderful with our little dog. She fed, watered, and walked Bitty without fail, which completely put my mind at ease. Since she goes away to college, she’s not always in Michigan, but I’ll want her to help care for Bitty wheboshe has time.”
“Devan was awesome while taking care of my fur baby. She kept in close contact with me and sent me plenty of photos with my boy and his big goofy smile! We’ll definitely have her back up to help when I’m tied up with work.”
