About: -Grew up with dogs and cats -love all breeds and sizes -cared for family pets growing up and local family pets now -love dogs more than humans! Looking for people who need dog walks or check-ins as needed. Happy to do boardings as well when I’m able, thanks for choosing me to care for your pup! I do not have pets in my current home. About: I'm currently a Pre-Veterinary student at University of New Hampshire and currently work at a local veterinary clinic. As a veterinary assistant I have gained experience with animal handling and care. I am also Fear Free Certified and know had to adequately prevent fear, anxiety, and stress in both cats and dogs. I have previously worked at a training facility and am familiar with certain signals and behaviors that animals demonstrate to express themselves. I have owned cats and dogs my entire life and have been exposed to many types of breeds, species, and seen interesting cases regarding animal health. When I'm not at school I take care of my two dogs and cats at home. Furthermore, I work part-time at a veterinary clinic at school and at home so I am constantly surrounded by animals and have exposure to many cases. I previously owned a diabetic cat and learned how to administer insulin shots and monitor her glucose levels multiple times a day. I feed and water my animals in my home at least twice a day, snacks are often provided as well. I walk my dogs as much as necessary (typically twice a day). I always play with my cats and dogs. I have a kitten who loves playing fetch with toy mice and a 5 year old dog who enjoys hiking trips and swimming. The two dogs get groomed when needed but I brush them consistently in between grooms. Finally, I am responsible when it comes to my animals' health and notice any changes in behavior or appearance almost immediately. I find it important to keep them up to date with vaccines and any other medications they need.
About: Regularly take care of a few clients pets, once or twice a year. I raised/car for my own cat, and participated in the car of my family's three dogs I work part-time evening shifts at a hotel, and have a flexible schedule. “Laurie was wonderful! We booked her for a few days worth of drop-in visits with our 1 year old dog Luna (40-lb border collie mix). We've only had Luna for 4 months (rescue) and she is incredibly timid and loud around strangers in the house. We were worried going into the weekend that we might even have to cancel our trip because Luna has been unmanageable by just about everyone we've tried to get to walk her. And even with us, on walks she is easily distracted and will try to chase everything from squirrels to grasshoppers. It can be a challenge for non-family to even get close enough to get a leash on her. Laurie was so kind and patient with Luna, and spent so much time with her to gain her trust. She proved fully capable of leashing Luna and bringing her on long walks. We will definitely be booking Laurie again! (provided she would be willing!)”
About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life. I am happy to leave covered in hair & smelling like whatever they smell like! I am comfortable with puppies-senior. I am free almost all evenings & early mornings. Weekends are mostly open, too! Mondays are usually always free starting in August. Currently I’m pretty flexible, too! About: I work with dogs on a daily bases. I love to cuddle,spoil, and keep the dogs active whenever I have free time. A dog is a family member and they will get my unconditional love and attention. On my breaks from work check ins will always be my first priority. They will get snacks if allowed. Plenty of pictures and up dates will happen while you're on your vacation. They are in the best of hands. I know how to control shy, excited and stubborn dogs and dogs who are pullers on a leash. All my time will be for the dogs! I work 5-10 minutes from my apartment. I’ll be able to check on them throughout the day and make sure they get plenty of outdoor time. My fiancé works 2nd shift so the dogs will never be left home alone except for a few hours on Sundays only! I work full time but my fiancé works 2nd shift so when I go to work he’s home and when I get home he’s going to work. Someone is almost always home I never use flexi leashes only slipleads or harnesses that can’t be slipped. I also usually ask for a crate(have a spare) if dogs need breaks
