About: DOG EXPERIENCE: I have been a supportive and loyal dog auntie for 7+ years to many of my closest friends! I have brought their dogs to my home, boarded at theirs, and provided ad hoc walking assistance and play sessions whenever needed for them. CAT EXPERIENCE: I am a lifelong cat parent! I had 2 cats growing up, both of which lived 10+ years with me in my childhood home! After moving to New York, my roommate and I co-parented her cat during our time together until she whisked him away to his permanent vacation home in SF. After moving into my own apartment, I adopted a 1 year old Tuxie who was FELV+. Caring for a cat with special health issues taught me how to be deeply attuned to appetite changes, litter habits, hydration, anxiety, etc. I also developed special skills such as administering various types of medications. While he unfortunately succumbed to his illness last year, I was able to adopt 2 three month old kitten siblings from the same shelter! I have learned through them the dynamics between male vs. female behaviors, post-surgery care with their spay and neuter, and navigating their growth spurts and the varying energy levels of young kittens. I have grown to truly understand what cats need most to thrive in their environments: routines, consistent play time and enrichment, reassurance, and just someone to feel fully safe with. What really drives me to pursue pet sitting is that I have had past experiences with sitters looking after my own pets that have not been satisfying, and since then I’ve been committed to providing support that is punctual and to a tee to the instructions given. I am primarily available on weekends Friday - Sunday at any given time needed starting from 6AM to as late as 11PM. There is flexibility on Mondays through Thursdays post 6PM based on the service required I understand how crucial it is to abide by your pets’ regular routine to a tee. New people are already anxiety-inducing and stressful for them as it is! When it comes to my own cats, I feed them 3x a day by my own hand, with snacks set up on an auto feeder twice a day. Cats need at least 30 mins of enrichment and novelty a day, so I typically play with them and introduce something new in the mornings and at night right before bed. I scoop their litter box 3x a day as well. I can also assist with any grooming needs such a nail clipping, teeth brushing, etc. For dogs, I have always walked them 3x a day for my friends and given at least 10 mins of playtime post walks.

My doggie who is normally pretty sad when I am away was playful and happy the whole time in large part due to Sophia!!! :) From the meet and greet to the end of my vacation, Sophia put in so much care, attention and love into caring for my doggy I cannot express how much I appreciate it and and so grateful so her to have been cared for so well while I was away. I would definitely have Sophia walk my doggy again anytime!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of my own my whole life. As well as dogs of friends and family for many years. I believe there are no bad dogs. I currently have open availability during the day. I am a masters student at Baruch College where I attend night classes from 6-9pm 3 nights a week. Although I do not offer care in my own home, I promise to respect, keep clean and safe, you and your pets home with even better care than I would my own.

About: Since I was a kid I’ve had puppies, senior dogs, dogs in need of medicine, and dogs who pull. I’ve also been the caretaker for a few loving cats over the years! I just moved to the city and thought the best way to get to know my new home would be through getting to know the pets that call NYC home! I currently live with two dogs and am unable to host your pets in my home unfortunately but I hope to change that very soon!

About: Experienced dog-walker, dog-sitter, and overall dog-lover. I grew up with a Bichon Havanese, who I raised and took care of for 15 years. Since then, I have gone through great lengths to make friends with as many dogs as possible. I have worked as a dog-walker and pet-sitter in Boston, Florida, and New York, and also dog-sat while working abroad in Central America. These days, I work remotely for a non-profit and have plenty of capacity to care for pups while I’m at home. I am sadly not able to have a dog of my own in my current living situation, so I am always very happy to spend time with friends' and clients' pets! I am excited to be working with Rover because I am excited to connect with new families and continue doing the work that I love the most. Since my work is done completely from home, I have a lot of capacity for pet-setting from my home, and have plenty of time to play and go on walks with your pups. I live in a spacious studio apartment, so your pets will have plenty of room to stretch out and play and have the zoomies, and it’s also very easy for me to keep a close eye on them since there is only one room. Safety is a priority for me.

About: Hi! I’m Esther - a lifelong animal lover who’s raised dogs from high school through adulthood and now has a pup of my own. I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your fur baby with someone new, and I care for every pet with the same patience, gentleness, and consistency I give my own. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and little quirks - from shy rescues to playful puppies to senior sweethearts who need extra support. I’m attentive to animal body language and emotional needs, and I always take the time to make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and understood. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I can reliably drop in throughout the day - rain or shine - to keep your pet’s routine consistent. Whether your fur baby needs walks, meals, medication, enrichment time, or just extra cuddles, I’m happy to tailor my care to exactly what they need. Safety and cleanliness are extremely important to me. I always refresh water bowls, follow feeding routines closely, and make sure everything is secure before I leave. If you let me know where your trash can and cleaning supplies are, I’m more than happy to clean up any little “oopsies.” I can also vacuum or sweep up any litter that adventurous kitties might track around - whatever helps keep your home tidy and your pets comfortable. I also keep a close eye on pets at all times and send updates, photos, or videos so you always feel connected and at ease while you’re away.

About: I am a NY State certified Mandated Reporter with extensive training in child and animal safety procedures. I have worked as a volunteer dog walker and am a lifelong animal lover of all kinds and temperaments. I am patient and gentle with creatures, and I took care of my family dog, a terrier named Pumpkin, for four years. I'm a student in an arts program, but could make time in every one of my days for animals. Being around pets of all kinds fulfills me. My apartment is on the smaller side, so I am most able to care for small to medium dogs in my own home. In your home, your pet will never be bored. I have experience in childcare, and know how to calm and brighten a pet's day with my demeanor.

About: I have experience in dog training, dog fostering and volunteering at animal shelters with many different animals. I absolutely love working with dogs and will be studying at Columbia Law School to eventually work in animal rights! I am currently free everyday at whatever time is needed. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. Friends, neighbors, and family have relied on me for walking, feeding, playtime, overnight care, and keeping their pets comfortable while they’re away. I’m very attentive, responsible, and active, so I’m happy to accommodate long walks, medication schedules, or extra playtime. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, cared for, and loved. I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University and have officially moved to NYC, where I’m starting my full-time job. My schedule shows weekend availability, but I work remotely during the week, so I’m also able to accommodate weekday walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting when needed. I’ve always loved being around dogs and have plenty of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities! I always try to make pets feel comfortable by sticking closely to their normal routine and giving them plenty of attention and exercise. I grew up with multiple dogs, all with very different needs, personalities, exercise routines, and medication schedules, so I’m comfortable adapting to whatever care your pet requires. I’m very responsible, attentive, and communicative, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, or crate routines to make sure your pet feels safe and cared for while you’re away.

About: I work at home 3x a week (my roomate is home everyday) and am free during the night and would love to take care of anyones pup. I am from Brazil, and have two dogs (Labrador and a Golden) and one cat. I miss all my pets dearly, and would love to take care of yours for whatever length of time you need. My apartment is pet-friendly (of course!), has lots of space and natural light and is right by great walking areas in Nolita. I have always been passionate for dogs and would like to do this because I miss having a pet at home, as I’ve been away from my own. I work at home 3x a week, and go to the office during the day on the other days. I have a roomate as well who is home everyday and also loves dogs so we can definitely schedule appropriately if needed. I have no pets at home but would be able to house yours easily! Our apartment is definitely big enough for even a larger dog, and we live in a great location and can take your pup out on multiple walks a day to!!
