About: We are a husband & wife dog lover duo, with a 10lb maltipoo furbaby, Chance, who are specialized in taking care of small dogs - ensuring they feel loved, comfortable and entertained while you’re away. From scenic and sensorial walks & fetch sessions by the West Side Highway to cozy cuddle sessions at home, we provide a balanced environment for your dog to feel at home. Our experience includes taking care of small breeds with various temperaments, so we’re confident we can handle your pup’s specific needs! Our dog, Chance, is an 10lb maltipoo who loves other small dogs. We’ve taught him various tricks like sit, stay, paw, and ‘bang bang’, and we love sharing that knowledge with other dogs. We adapt our care to each dog’s personality, ensuring they get the right balance of mental stimulation and relaxation. Whether it’s playtime, puzzle games, or cuddles, your dog will feel right at home! We also provide dedicated daily walking services, giving your pup structured exercise, fresh air, and gentle leash guidance tailored to their specific energy level and pace! Please note that our standard rates cover small and medium breeds, while custom quotes are provided for larger or high-energy dogs to ensure the highest quality of individual care. Our daily routine is pretty relaxed, which allows us to dedicate time to caring for dogs. Danny's work schedule is hybrid and Karen is fully remote! We walk Chance in the morning and evening for 30 minutes. The afternoon walks are 30–90 minutes along the water on the West Side Highway. We can adjust the walk length based on your dog’s needs, whether it's a quick stroll or a longer adventure! We live in a 600 square foot 1-bedroom apartment where your dog will feel right at home. Your pup can sleep with us in the same room or right outside, depending on the pup's preference. We can also set up a pee station if needed, though you’d just need to bring it as Chance is fully potty trained to go outside.

About: I grew up with dogs in my family, and have fostered here in New York. I also fostered when I lived in LA before moving here. I often jump in for neighbors when they need someone to check in on their pup. The only thing keeping me from getting a dog of my own is my occasional work travel, so let me love and take care of your dog when you need some extra help! I’m a writer, so I easily work from home. Most days I am up by 7:30 and I make my own schedule. Going on walks helps me think, so I will be delighted to take your pup on as many walks as they need. I have a crate that fits up to 40 pound dogs, and is adjustable for smaller dogs, if that is something you’d like me to do for your pup. Otherwise, they can lounge on the couch with me unless you do not want them to be on furniture. I am in an extremely dog friendly building in Chelsea, with easy access to dog runs, and Chelsea Park.

During walks, I avoid high-traffic areas, and keep a safe distance from unfamiliar dogs and off-leash pets. I respect your home and follow all entrance/exit instructions closely, including double-checking doors, gates, lockboxes, and alarm systems. Upon returning from a walk, I wipe dirty paws, refresh clean drinking water, administer owner-approved treats or meals, and settle your dog safely back into their designated space. Building trust with you and your pet is my top priority. After every walk, I send a detailed Rover Card with photos and potty stats, so you always have full peace of mind.

Fresh water is always available, and I monitor for signs of stress, overheating, or discomfort, especially during warmer weather. For in-home visits and pet sitting, I make sure doors, gates, and windows remain secure to prevent accidental escapes. I follow all feeding instructions carefully, administer medications exactly as directed (if needed), and keep potentially harmful items out of reach. I also respect your home's security by locking doors and following any specific instructions you provide. I'll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you're away. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will contact you immediately and follow your preferred emergency instructions, including reaching out to your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital if necessary.
