About: I used to have a cat, Whiskers, growing up. He taught me how it was to love and be loved. Compared to my friends’ cats, Whiskers was a little more on the independent side so I knew when he wanted to be cuddled or simple petted. But they all go crazy for cat nip and snacks! Nonetheless the little ones still need maintenance such as cleaning litter boxes, brushing teeth and hair brushing sessions which I’ve done countless of times.

About: The first time I had a cat, I was 6, and I named her Princess Angelina Lula Belle but (obviously) we only ever called her Kitty. During my childhood, my family and I took care of many other cats, including four kittens, and of course, dear Kitty as she became older. I have experience caring for young and senior cats, shy and social ones, too. Before moving to New York, I lived in Berkeley, where I cared for my neighbors' cats as a cat sitter. My previous roommate had two cats that I took care of when she was out of town and befriended even when she wasn't. About: I love dogs (and cats!) I just love them so much :) My husband and I have cared for our disabled Labrador since she was 5 months old (she’s now 7), so I’m very comfortable with special needs and senior dogs. I also grew up with a dog so I am experienced with puppies and basic training. I genuinely love dogs and treat every one like my own! I’m home full-time, so I have plenty of time to give your dog lots of attention, playtime, walks, and care. I’m available throughout the week for both daycare and boarding. I live in an apartment with an elevator. I have plenty of space for play, meals, and cuddles, and I make sure every dog feels comfortable and cared for. About: Dogs have been an important part of my life since I was a teenager, beginning with my family's Border Collie, Gracie. Over the years, I've personally cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and personalities, including dogs that required extra patience and attention. We are very thankful we got 18 years with Button and are now happy to help care for your dogs if you need it! I am very familiar with the senior care needs if that’s something you are looking for - I do understand the nerves, the needs, the extra attention - I completely get it if you are someone who needs help in that area. We also have a dog bed here, pet wipes, & box of toys! I do remote work at home and have a very flexible schedule. About: I grew up with dogs in my family, and have fostered here in New York. I also fostered when I lived in LA before moving here. I often jump in for neighbors when they need someone to check in on their pup. The only thing keeping me from getting a dog of my own is my occasional work travel, so let me love and take care of your dog when you need some extra help! I’m a writer, so I easily work from home. Most days I am up by 7:30 and I make my own schedule. Going on walks helps me think, so I will be delighted to take your pup on as many walks as they need. I have a crate that fits up to 20 pound dogs, if that is something you need me to do for your pup. Otherwise, they can lounge on the couch with me unless you do not want them to be on furniture. I am in an extremely dog friendly building in Chelsea, with easy access to dog runs, and Chelsea Park.

From the moment I drop her off, I know she is in loving, trustworthy hands. One of my favorite things is how many pictures and updates they send throughout her stay. It gives me so much peace of mind to see Stevie happy, comfortable, and having a great time. You can truly tell how much they love and care for the pets they watch. Finding someone you completely trust with your fur baby is priceless, and that’s exactly what I found with Ethel. I never have to worry when Stevie is with her. She goes above and beyond every single time, and I honestly wouldn’t leave Stevie with anyone else. “Tamara was actively engaged with our 2 Westies and took excellent care of them. She kept us informed of their activities with notes on what they were doing, how they were acting, and sent lots of pictures. They went on walks and got to hang around the house (like they normally do at home! ;) ) I think she really spoiled them (in a good way!). They had a wonderful time with her. We don't go to NYC often, but when we go next time and need a sitter, we'll definitely ask for Tamara again!!! She gets an A+++++ rating!!!”
