Information Ryan M. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, I like to learn as much as possible to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness. It’s important for me to know if your dog has any allergies, medical conditions, or a history of surgeries, as well as whether they take any medications or have special dietary needs. I also like to understand their temperament and social behavior—for example, if they’re comfortable around other dogs, people, or certain environments. If your dog will be staying in my home, I ask about their daily routines, such as feeding times, walk schedules, sleep habits, and favorite toys or comfort items. I also like to know if they have any behavioral quirks, such as chewing on furniture or cables, barking triggers, or separation anxiety, so I can create the safest and most stress-free environment possible. The more details you can share, the better I can tailor their care and make them feel right at home. If your dog is a large breed, Doberman, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Husky, Pitbull, Mastiff, Great Dane ...etc. These lovely breeds require special attention and more exercise. There will be additional fees/charges on the daily rate posted.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about balance, structure, and fun. I start the day with an energizing walk—or for high-energy dogs, a good run. As a marathon runner, I love taking dogs who need extra exercise on safe, structured runs to help them release energy in a healthy way. Throughout the day, I keep your dog engaged with playtime, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement, always tailored to their personality, age, and energy level. Feeding times, routines, and any special care instructions are followed precisely to maintain consistency and comfort. I also offer basic training at no extra cost—whether it’s reinforcing good leash manners, simple commands, or helping puppies learn to use wee-wee pads or go outside. My home and care approach are clean, safe, and calm, providing your dog with space to rest between activities. Most importantly, I give plenty of affection, attention, and reassurance, so your dog feels happy, secure, and loved. You’ll also receive regular photo updates and notes so you can share in their day and know they’re in great hands.

Pet care experience
I bring a lifetime of experience with dogs, having owned and raised multiple breeds from a young age, including a German Shepherd, a Golden Labrador, and currently, a Boston Terrier. Growing up with these diverse breeds has given me a comprehensive understanding of dog behavior, bonding, and physical and mental stimulation. Living and working in Manhattan, I know firsthand the challenges of a demanding job with last-minute meetings and unexpected projects. My flexible advertising role allows me to accept bookings on short notice, making me a reliable and punctual dog sitter, always ready to adjust to your schedule. I am experienced in managing special dietary needs, administering medications, and following unique routines tailored to each dog's health and wellness. With strong knowledge of dog safety, basic first aid, and swift response techniques, I am attentive to dogs’ natural curiosity and can quickly prevent them from ingesting anything unsafe. Familiar with Manhattan’s best dog-friendly parks and safe walking routes, I prioritize dogs’ safety, especially in high-traffic areas or environments with potential hazards. As a fellow dog owner, I understand how important it is to feel connected to your pet’s care while you’re away. My open, transparent communication style ensures you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and detailed notes from each visit, providing you with peace of mind and confidence in the quality of care your dog receives. I approach every interaction with professionalism, energy, and a sincere commitment to your dog’s happiness and well-being.

Reviews

Ryan is the best! He is incredibly flexible and often comes by when we are in a last-minute bind. He is so good with our little guy. If you ever need a dog walker, we 100% recommend Ryan 😌

Ryan was wonderful, and Kalypso did not want to come home!

Ryan came to walk my dog within only hours of notice, and this was before we even formally met each other. He was extremely easy to coordinate with, and checked in multiple times before and on the day of his walks. I recommend Ryan to anyone in NYC! 🙂

Ryan was amazing! He took such great care of my dog while I was away for work. Super kind, attentive, and reliable — I had total peace of mind. Highly recommend!
