Pet care experience
Experienced & Caring Pet Sitter
I volunteered at the SPCA for seven years, where I worked with all kinds of animals; dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, hamsters, ferrets, and even wildlife. I helped administer medications and shots, and I ran the birthday party program where I'd bring animals out for kids to interact with. I grew up with two dogs and have been dog sitting since I was about twelve, so I've seen a lot of different breeds and personalities over the years. I am very comfortable handling, feeding, bathing and caring for all types of pets (even horses!). Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely love what I do.

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
When I'm at your place with your pet, I'm genuinely just there to hang out with them. I'm not doing a quick check-in and heading out. I'm happy to spend real time there, whether that's a few hours or most of the day. I like brushing animals, playing with them, or honestly just sitting with them. Some pets want a lot of attention and some just want someone around, and I'm good with either. I have two cats of my own so I'm used to being home with animals all day and really enjoy it. Your pet will have someone there who actually wants to be there with them!!

Lauren was amazing! She was extremely communicative, asked good questions about taking care of my pets, took Sprite on lots of walks, and kept my place very clean. Would highly recommend her!

Lauren was absolutely wonderful with Max. She kept me updated and sent photos, and Max seems to really like her. I could tell she truly enjoys what she does, and I would highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable pet sitter.

Schedule
Since I work completely remote, my schedule is really flexible and I'm able to dedicate real time to your pet during the day. I'm not squeezing walks in between a commute or rushing home after a long day in an office; I can genuinely be present with your animal, whether that's hanging out at your place while you're at work, keeping them company, or just making sure they're not alone all day. I also personally try to walk or run up to six miles a day, so if your dog needs serious exercise, they've got a partner for that. Walks with me won't be short or rushed. I actually enjoy being outside and moving around, so it works out well for both of us. Evening walks are also totally doable since I'm usually getting my own miles in after work anyway. Fitting pet care into my routine isn't a stretch at all, it just becomes part of my day, which I think makes a big difference. Your pet gets consistent attention and real quality time, not just the bare minimum.
