“Roxie loves her stay with Angie! She kept me updated well on how she was doing while I was gone which gave me peace of mind being gone for 11 days. Lots of photo updates were much appreciated. I'll definitely use Angie again!”

“Kirsten and Nicolas were great! They sent pics during the whole stay and were very communicative. They also have a fenced in back yard that they let the dogs run around in. They updated us when the pups appetites were low, which I really appreciated. Both of our dogs tend to be anxious without us because they aren’t used to used to being alone, so it was also a big plus that they work from home. In the past we have had to send our pups to kennels because we don’t have friends or family near by who can watch them. They would be locked in a kennel all day and we would literally have to pay extra for belly rubs or time out of the kennel. I usually feel uneasy the whole trip but not this time. I could tell they were well taken care of and treated like one of their own. Thank you so much Kirsten and Nicolas!”

“Nicole made me feel very comfortable leaving our fur baby with a meet and greet, and then later after drop-off, sending pictures immediately after we left of our Jack settling in with her dog. I felt so relieved and could enjoy our vacation! She checked in and sent pics regularly. Our highly active Jack was well exercised and crashed out when he got home! I will definitely use Nicole again!”

“Will and Bibiana were amazing! Very responsive and sent us lots of pictures. Aldo and Naxos had a great time playing in the backyard and enjoyed their walks. They are worn out from all the play time!”

“Megan and family were incredible with my dog Indy! I felt so relieved that she could stay with such an awesome family and be taken care of while we were away. Indy is a senior dog so certainly more needy across the board but she was in great hands. Would rebook with them in a heartbeat!”

“Maria M. was absolutely wonderful with Daisy... She did an amazing job keeping Daisy entertained and Happy as we could tell from all the photos. We're going to send out Maria's information to all our friends if they need a dog sitter. We most definitely will use Maria M. as Daisy's dog sitter from now on when we go on vacations. Thanks again for everything Maria. You're the Best!!! Stay Safe and Healthy.... The White Family....”

“I cant recommend Erin enough, she is the best! When I got a new puppy I was a bit nervous about finding a sitter to continue with our routine and spend the extra time needed for a puppy, but Erin scheduled a meet & greet to learn all about Skye’s training and get to know us. Skye hit it off right away with Erin and her 2 dogs. I love that she sends updates and photos a couple of times a day so I know that she is having a blast and getting lots of attention while she’s away from home.”

“I cannot say enough amazing things about this Zach and his wife! From the moment we connected, I felt completely at ease leaving my pup with them for the weekend. They have the best personalities and you can genuinely tell how much they love animals.Their communication was top tier. they kept me updated consistently and sent tons of photos and videos, which meant so much to me. My dog looked extremely happy the entire time and clearly had the best time playing. He played so much that he literally slept for two days straight after we got home! It’s such a relief to find people I truly trust with my dog. I’m beyond grateful we found them and will absolutely be booking with them again. Highly, highly recommend!”

“The dogs seemed to enjoy their stay. Emily provided ample pictures, some with them playing in the backyard which is great to see. My wife and I havr already scheduled our next boarding with Emily.”

“Carol was amazing with Oakley! She was very attentive to his needs and his schedule. She regularly sent me updates on how he was doing, and she went above and beyond! I would trust her with anyone’s pet! 😊”

“Victoria was amazing and super kind, she updated me everyday throughout the day to let me know how Ellie was doing without me having to ask! Great communication. Will def book again!”

“As I told Olivia, she's stuck with us now! I know my baby was spoiled and I loved receiving daily pics of him! It hasn't even been a week yet and I am already requesting to rebook her!”

“I am a repeat customer and have boarded my goldendoodle with Justin several times. He is dependable and quick to reply. My puppy loves staying with Justin and his family. Thank you Justin for taking amazing care of my baby when I am away.”

“Coco had a great time!! Allison is great at sending updates (pictures and videos) enjoying her time, which made it easier for us to be away from Coco for so many days. Thank you Allison!”

“Pam is absolutely amazing! She really makes sure to get to know you and your pup prior to your pup’s sleepover! We felt so comfortable leaving our dog with her and will definitely be using her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lewis Center
Emily provided pictures regularly of my dog and has a good set up to watch pets. Has a fenced yard and an easy going attitude. I guess the only thing I would like to see would be for her to provide some comments about how the dog is doing in addition to the pictures. Very happy with her service and would use again.
Savanah was fantastic! She was able to board Sugar last minute and took care of her like she was her own. Sugar always has anxiety when boarded, but seemed so happy and relaxed with Savanah. We appreciated the updates and photos she provided to us, as well! We will definitely take Sugar back. Thank you, Savanah! 💖

Second stay, and somehow even better than the first! This was our second time boarding Rocky and Koi with Nursah, and we wouldn’t trust anyone else. From the moment we dropped them off, it was clear they were exactly where they wanted to be — tails wagging, no looking back at us whatsoever (humbling, honestly). Nursah takes such incredible care of them. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs, not just as a job but as a real passion. We felt completely at ease the entire time, knowing they were in a safe, loving home environment rather than a kennel. Rocky and Koi came back happy, calm, and well-loved.

We found Kristine on line and feel that it might have been our luckiest choice ever. Kristine was so warm and welcoming to our pup (and us) that we had not a moment's worry that Louie was well cared for. If you want a sitter to care for your dog as lovingly as you would, choose her.

Our girls loved being with you and your family! We can tell that they were loved and taken care of very well and included as part of your family. My husband and I were able to enjoy our vacation having the peace of mind knowing that they were not only safe but thriving.

Rachel and Jeff were such great sitters for our dog while my family was on vacation! They kept us updated on how our dog was, sent photos, were quick to communicate with and were flexible. I know our dog loved being them. I highly recommend, I know we’ll be using them again!

Yujin and Stephen were incredibly warm and communicative throughout the process. They greeted Ellie with familiarity immediately and ensured we felt confident that she’d be in good hands. We received multiple photos and updates throughout her stay. And as a cherry on top, they surprised us with a physical photo of Ellie as a souvenir. I’d highly recommend and look forward to Ellie’s next stay with them!

Excellent, wonderful, super, amazing, great, and absolutely perfect all describe the service Jameson provided to my baby. He sent pictures of how Onyx was doing and explained how he was doing. When I picked Onyx up, Jameson advised on his eating habits, restroom usage, and his playtime. This made me feel at ease about leaving him. Jameson's entire family was very receptive to Onyx and treated him like family. I will definitely be using his service again and highly recommend Jameson for your fur baby sitting needs. Thank you again Jameson, you are the dopest dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
