About: I’ve had the pleasure of caring for dogs, cats, and both small and large farm animals my entire life, and I’ve been fortunate to work in the veterinary field as a veterinary technician/assistant for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I’ve gained extensive experience, including skills like inserting IVs, setting up fluid pumps, and administering subcutaneous, oral, and intramuscular medications in both hospital and home settings. I’ve assisted in numerous routine and emergency surgeries and procedures, providing care for animals with a wide variety of ailments. Some of the conditions include caring for diabetics, seizures, kidney disease, liver disease, URis, UTis, hyperthyroidism, ocular issues, skin issues/allergies, foreign body surgeries, fractures, ACL surgeries, obstructions, and poisonings. I love walking and caring for animals weather that mean playing with them or spoon feeding them back to health. Additionally I have also had the privilege of caring for a wide range of animals, from large and small farm animals to dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes—from energetic puppies to loving senior dogs. I've also cared for both senior cats and playful kittens, gaining valuable experience with each stage of life Please let me know what you need, and I will do everything I can to ensure your pet feels loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you are away. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration! Hi there! I’m currently a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate time to taking care of your furry family members. Alongside helping care for a disabled family member, I have a deep love for animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to chickens and even monkeys! Trust your family members will get plenty of play, love, and affection while you are away. I have a corner lot big fenced in back yard with plenty of place to run and play! I love playing fetch or going on walks and can provide most anything your dog or cat is used to! Just let me know what I can do to make your pet feel the most comfortable and cared for in your absence! I would be more than happy to help!
About: As a dedicated pet sitter who works from home, I’m able to provide constant care and attention to your furry family member. With a secure fenced yard, your dog will enjoy plenty of outdoor time and bathroom breaks whenever needed. What truly sets me apart is the love we have for dogs—we treat every pup like one of our own. I regularly care for friends’ dogs while they're on vacation, and our home becomes a mini getaway for the pups too, with toys, snuggles, and parent-approved treats. Your dog won’t just be watched—they’ll be loved. Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to take dogs for walks during meeting breaks or let them play and relax in our fenced-in yard throughout the day. On weekends, I love exploring local trails and dog parks, and—with your approval— I’d be thrilled to include your dog in our outdoor adventures. Our fenced-in yard offers a safe and spacious area for dogs to play and get fresh air throughout the day. We have a large dog crate available if your pup prefers a quiet, secure space to rest. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor toys for playtime—you're welcome to bring your dog’s favorites too. Our sweet 3-year-old golden retriever, Lychee, is friendly and loves having playmates. We’re within walking distance of a fenced-in dog park, perfect for extra exercise and social time (with your approval). Frequent photo updates—I love capturing special moments to share with you. Your pet’s safety is our top priority; AirTag or pet GPS tracker available.
About: I've had a dog in my home since I was born, having 7 different dogs in my home over my lifetime. For the first time in 32 years, I have no dog in my home, because I'm living with my sister and can't get one of my very own, but I have lots of doggie love to share with your pups! Im currently unemployed and lost my most recent dog last year, I'm not quite ready to take the plunge and get a dog yet, but I miss having a pup around and have a lot of doggie loving to give. I promise to treat your dogs with the utmost care, and like they were a member of my own family. I'll keep them safe and happy until you can be reunited.

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a little kid, so very comfortable with pets! I am a nurse currently at OSU so wanting to give back to some dogs near me! Very big on animal rights as well :) With my normal week schedule being different almost every week it can be hard to find certain days! However, every week I’m open 4 days with my nursing schedule! I am more than open to do different things if needed, but really looking at walking, feeding, letting them outside, playing, and just entertaining in general! Not really looking to ever stay overnight anywhere though!
About: I've had pets for my entire life, whether they be dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters or even snakes. I have always been active in the caretaking of my family's pets. I am the go-to dog sitter/walker for multiple households and am trusted enough to be given my own keys as well as garage codes. I always do my best to make sure the animals are well taken care of and to keep my client's home clean. I am a college student, and as such have a significant amount of free time. I have my own car so transportation is not an issue. I always attempt to center my daily schedule around any pet care that is on that day. I do not currently offer dog boarding, but I always take great care to ensure that my client's home remains intact and sanitary. I make sure to only use dog food/treats provided by the pet owner to avoid potential complications involving diet or allergies. I also take steps to avoid potentially exposing my clients to any allergies that they may have, such as peanuts.
About: Dogs make EVERY day better! Recently I was running a boutique dog daycare, boarding, and training facility in California before moving home to Ohio. Because of my 5 years there, I have immense knowledge and experience surrounding dog behavior, training, and caring for pups of all ages, breeds, sizes, and needs. I am also CPDT certified as a Positive Reinforcement trainer. I truly understand the importance of getting to know each pup individually and how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your dogs in and out of your home. I am working remote part time so I have tons of flexibility! I love being around dogs and am excited to be hands on with pups in my own town! I have a very large yard and patio for pups that visit my home! I also understand that many pups prefer the comfort of their own home and am comfortable and happy to pop in as needed when the pups need care or walks! I am extremely respectful of someone else's space and requirements when it comes to in home care.

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 14 years old and have always had a genuine love for pets. Over the years, I’ve helped care for a variety of animals, including cats, ferrets, and dogs through pet sitting and house sitting for neighbors and family friends. I also have a 9 year old Border Collie/Lab mix of my own, who I’ve cared for and grown up with. Pet care is something I do on the side because I truly enjoy being around animals and building bonds with them. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I currently work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. Since caring for animals is something I genuinely love, I enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m open and adaptable to different pet care needs and always happy to help however I can! House sitting and overnight stays are available on a case by case basis depending on each pet’s needs, routine, and care requirements. My goal is always to provide reliable, loving care while making sure both pets and owners feel comfortable and confident. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for by being patient and understanding with their individual personalities and needs. With my own dog and other pets I’ve cared for, I’ve learned that building trust takes time, so I never force interaction. I let pets come to me at their own pace so they can feel comfortable and secure in their environment. Creating a calm, loving, and stress free atmosphere is always my priority.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
