“Emily stayed with our pups for 5 days at our house and was awesome!! She walked them twice a day and kept us posted with texts and pictures. The pups snuggled with her on cold days which tells us they gave her 5 stars!! The house looked great when we returned. We are all looking forward to the next sitting!!”

“Karlina was absolutely amazing with our baby. It was a last-minute booking and we are incredibly grateful that she was available and so intentional. Nala seem to warm up to her quite a bit, which is very untypical of her and shows. How great of a sitter Karlina is! we can’t wait to have her back ❤️”

“Curtis was great with my two cats and dog (Odie)! He was very polite and gave Odie all of the pets and belly rubs requested during the initial meet-and-greet. During the actual stay, he sent photos and videos of the cats being obsessed with him (no surprise!) and Odie loving his walks with him. He also left the house clean! 10 out of 10”

“Noah was an amazing dog sitter. Such a nice guy, he kept us informed of our two pups well being. He was able to stay with our pups during the night. As most of us are aware pups are needy like five year old children. Noah took care of their needs perfectly send photo updates. I think the dogs actually missed him when he left. We would definitely hire him again. Five stars.”

“Kaitlyn was excellent. Took good care of Gino. It was his first time where mom had left for more than just a few then just a few hours. Took care of his meds. Spent time on the couch cuddling and sent me a few pictures. I would use Kaitlyn again for sure”

“This is our second house sitting experience with Carolyne. She does a great job with our doggie ! She kept us up to date and sent pics so we would not miss our boy too much. We did have an incident where an item was broken, but when I brought it to her attention, she responded right away and offered to make it right. We would use her again and will be. :-)”

“Ashely was incredible!!! She gave great updates and was very easy to communicate with. My dog loved her! She also took fantastic care of my apartment while I was gone. I will for sure be booking with Ashley again! Thanks for everything Ashley!!!”

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a little kid, so very comfortable with pets! I am a nurse currently at OSU so wanting to give back to some dogs near me! Very big on animal rights as well :) With my normal week schedule being different almost every week it can be hard to find certain days! However, every week I’m open 4 days with my nursing schedule! I am more than open to do different things if needed, but really looking at walking, feeding, letting them outside, playing, and just entertaining in general! Not really looking to ever stay overnight anywhere though!
“This was the first time I used a house sitter. I was a little leery, but Anabelle was a timely communicator as we worked through some initial bumps. She was respectful of my requests and our pup seemed to enjoy spending time with her. I would use her again.”
“Destany & her daughter Emma were AMAZING! While I was out of town I received multiple pictures of my dogs with updates throughout the day. The girls even spoiled our babies & brought fun toys & treats over for them! Destany put my worries to ease about leaving our babies at home. We will definitely be booking with Destany & Emma again!!”

“Sydnee was a fantastic sitter for my pup when I went on a much needed vacation. I always choose her to watch Finn when needed. She is great with him and he loves her just as much. She always checked in with me when I was away and is so kind and respectful.”

“Christine was awesome! She came over and met our boys a few days before we went out of town. They loved her! She was very professional and had a lot of experience which gave us peace of mind. She was also willing to come at all hours of the night to check on our boys if we needed her to! While gone, Christine gave us updates and sent us pictures letting us know how our boys were doing. She was very attentive and let us know she found a lump on one of our dog’s legs. This showed us that she was caring and really paying attention to the boys each time she came over. Though we were out of cell service almost the entire time we were gone, we knew that the boys were in great care with Christine! We would definitely recommend her services and will be using her again the next time we go out of town!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages! I can administer medicine, bathe them, feed them, walk them, and give them special care. I’ve been around animals since I was in my early teens. I have a pretty open schedule. As long as you let me know at least a day ahead, I can work with your schedule. I have another part-time job that is flexible. I have a crate for my puppy that I keep her in when I am not supervising her, or leave her with my family. My cat Bean is free to roam around.
“Second booking with Lauren was just as great as the first. She has a calming presence for my high energy pup. Lauren was responsive and sent great pics/updates. And she left my place cleaner than I left it! Wonderful experience.”

“Emily provided such great care for our dogs. She went above and beyond and requests. She is very kind, a great communicator, and gave lots of pictures and updates. I would gladly work with Emily again and trust our dogs with her.”

“Kora was wonderful. She was very communicative and our boys (two dogs and a cat) were all very well cared for. I would absolutely ask Kora back and highly recommend her to anyone else.”

Destany was absolutely amazing with our puppy Stone! 🐾 She followed his routine perfectly, kept him happy, well-fed, and so loved while we were away. We came home to one content, well cared for pup. 🥰 She was reliable, attentive, and clearly has a real gift with dogs. 🐶💛 We can’t recommend her enough and will definitely book her again! Thank you for treating Stone like your own! 🌟

Ben is so great with my little senior rescue. I can tell Gruber is so happy and totally himself when I get home. He keeps me updated with photos, that he’s been fed, walked and I feel totally comfortable leaving my little dude with Ben! It is so reassuring to have someone you trust taking care of your beloved little buddy!! Thanks Ben!!

We had a wonderful experience with Mindy who was our amazing dog sitter! She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of our dogs while we were away for the day. It was such a relief knowing our pup was comfortable at home and well cared for. We came back to a happy dog, which says it all. We would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter

Corrine watched our two dogs over the Christmas holiday and we are so appreciative of her availability so we could go back to Iowa and visit family! She was communicative and sent along pictures, including our puppers getting their toys/treats on Christmas day. Would highly recommend her to others!

Another great pet sitting from Swathi! She has watched our pups for big trips and every time I’m so impressed with her level of detail and care. She sends lots of updates and pictures during her stay too which is always a perk. When I need a sitter, she is our go to! Thank you Swathi!

She house sat for us and I had great peace of mind! I have 2 dogs and a cat that needs medication and she went above and beyond. She even scooped the litter before she left. I really appreciated her communication and professionalism. I would absolutely recommend her.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,514 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lewis Center. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lewis Center walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lewis Center maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lewis Center choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lewis Center. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
