About: Dogs make EVERY day better! Recently I was running a boutique dog daycare, boarding, and training facility in California before moving home to Ohio. Because of my 5 years there, I have immense knowledge and experience surrounding dog behavior, training, and caring for pups of all ages, breeds, sizes, and needs. I am also CPDT certified as a Positive Reinforcement trainer. I truly understand the importance of getting to know each pup individually and how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your dogs in and out of your home. I am working remote part time so I have tons of flexibility! I love being around dogs and am excited to be hands on with pups in my own town! I have a very large yard and patio for pups that visit my home! About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 14 years old and have always had a genuine love for pets. Over the years, I’ve helped care for a variety of animals, including cats, ferrets, and dogs through pet sitting and house sitting for neighbors and family friends. I also have a 9 year old Border Collie/Lab mix of my own, who I’ve cared for and grown up with. Pet care is something I do on the side because I truly enjoy being around animals and building bonds with them. About: I have grown up with dogs of all sizes and breeds and currently have three of my own - two dachshunds and an english lab. I have experience with handling dogs with special needs, as my dearly departed senior dog was epileptic and one of our current dachshunds has mild IVDD that we do our best to manage. It has been 5 years since a flare up! I am also accustomed with dealing with dogs that have mild behavioral issues such as nervousness around certain genders, children or other animals. I have watched and cared for my own dogs, family dogs and the furbabies of friends for some years now, and I find that walking dogs is just as therapeutic for me as it is for the dog. :) I currently work full time on a flexible, work from home schedule. I am looking to make myself available to walk your dog or check in on them primarily during the week. On weekends I have varying flexibility as indicated on my calendar. I will provide waste bags and pick up any pet waste during the walk or while out in a fenced yard. I require all dogs, regardless of training, to be able to walk on leash when not in a fenced yard area. I will not take your dog to a dog park as I cannot guarantee the safety of your dog there. Depending on proximity to my home, I can provide a fenced in yard for leash-free solo play time, but this will have to be discussed prior. My own dogs will never accompany me on walks or to a clients house.

About: I have cared for animals since I was a child, having been raised on a farm where we always had all sorts of animals, including dogs and cats. We have had such wonderful pet-sitters of our own, that I want to give back as well and provide that loving care to your family pet with the comfort of knowing they are being loved. About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life 🐾 For nearly 20 years, that love has shaped both my personal life and my work in animal welfare along with nonprofit work. I have a background in animal behavior, shelter medicine, dog training, and I’m Fear Free certified. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable with who you trust your pet with, and I would love to start with a meet & greet to ensure both you and your pet feel comfortable with me and that we are a good fit! I only take one client at a time in my home. My golden retriever and I volunteer with a local K9 search and rescue team and specialize in rescuing missing persons. Outside of that, my dogs are my adventure partners. We love hiking, camping, traveling and being outside whenever we can. During the week (Tues - Thurs), I work outside of the home, but I have a flexible schedule and will come home for midday care. My own pets are never left longer than 5 - 7 hours. I have a fully fenced in yard, and out on walks, I will use a secure harness lead for added safety unless you prefer otherwise.
