“I am so happy to have found Yasmin to do drop in visits for my dog. I am out of town and my dog sitter had an emergency so I had to find someone quick and Yasmin was so compassionate and understanding. Everything went very smooth. She sent pictures and updates. She was amazing!”

About: I have grown up with dogs of all sizes and breeds and currently have three of my own - two dachshunds and an english lab. I have experience with handling dogs with special needs, as my dearly departed senior dog was epileptic and one of our current dachshunds has mild IVDD that we do our best to manage. It has been 5 years since a flare up! I am also accustomed with dealing with dogs that have mild behavioral issues such as nervousness around certain genders, children or other animals. I have watched and cared for my own dogs, family dogs and the furbabies of friends for some years now, and I find that walking dogs is just as therapeutic for me as it is for the dog. :) I currently work full time on a flexible, work from home schedule. I am looking to make myself available to walk your dog or check in on them primarily during the week. On weekends I have varying flexibility as indicated on my calendar. I will provide waste bags and pick up any pet waste during the walk or while out in a fenced yard. I require all dogs, regardless of training, to be able to walk on leash when not in a fenced yard area. I will not take your dog to a dog park as I cannot guarantee the safety of your dog there. Depending on proximity to my home, I can provide a fenced in yard for leash-free solo play time, but this will have to be discussed prior. My own dogs will never accompany me on walks or to a clients house.

About: Growing up I was always around dogs and had a dog of my own that I took care of. I loved taking him on walks, little trips, and even out to a lake. I’m coming home from college and have all the time to hang out with your fury friends! I’m available week days and able to come on weekends if needed. I have a fenced yard that allows a bunch of room for running around and having fun. I am also able to put the dogs on a leash or in a crate if needed.
About: We have been taking care of our golden retrievers for 14 years and love being outside with all dogs. We have watched our family and friends dogs when they travel and love the opportunity to get to know as many dogs as possible in our neighborhood. We are free to walk and take care of pets in evenings and on weekends. I am a teacher so holiday breaks and summers are free for us as well! We have a fenced in yard for dogs to play. We have experience in walking multiple dogs and have all that we need to prepare for long walks! Our neighborhood is very friendly and conducive for long walks.
About: I have owned, fostered, and volunteered with animals for over 10 years. Not only that, I have experience with providing animal therapy in a clinical setting for the last two years. Dogs and cats hold a big piece of my heart and I genuinely love to accommodate to their needs. I have experience raising puppies and kittens, taking care of elderly cats and dogs, and dogs and cats that have behavioral problems. I am familiar on how to care for dogs that have aggressive tendencies, anxiety, and hip problems. Likewise, I have experience handling cats with aggression and timidness. I am a small business owner and have days where I work from home. I could use that time to not only make extra money, but spend time with dogs and cats as well! I make sure to provide as much affection, activity, and attention to my pets to the best of my ability. Which I ensure the same treatment is given to your pets too. Depending on what service you would like me to provide, I am more than happy to go on long walks with your dog, offer enrichment, or maybe you have a lapdog that just needs a temporary companion. I am dependable and have the experience and genuine care and trust to ensure your pet has the best experience possible.
“Theresa was a great drop-in visit sitter for our dog! Made time to meet our pup and get instructions ahead of our trip. Wonderful communication about her availability to be sure to provide the best care to him and another pet she was caring for. Brought in mail and packages, kept an eye on indoor and outdoor plants, and sent pictures from each visit. Highly recommend!”

“Laila was so sweet and patient with our pup who was a little anxious as it was Nola’s first time having a sitter!! She gained Nola’s trust and communicated with me so well. Laila was great for both my pup and I! Would definitely have her again 💛”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages! I can administer medicine, bathe them, feed them, walk them, and give them special care. I’ve been around animals since I was in my early teens. I have a pretty open schedule. As long as you let me know at least a day ahead, I can work with your schedule. I have another part-time job that is flexible. I have a crate for my puppy that I keep her in when I am not supervising her, or leave her with my family. My cat Bean is free to roam around.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since was 12! I used to check dogs in the neighborhood! I’ve even stayed at a house for two weeks taking care of two dogs one extremely geriatric. I am good with giving medication to dogs, getting them a daily walk, making sure they have frequent potty breaks, and a whole lot of belly rubs!! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for my own dog every day. I’m used to walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets lots of attention and affection. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. In my home or a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, potty breaks, medication, exercise, and routines. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and creating a calm, trustworthy environment where pets can feel relaxed and cared for.
About: I have cared for animals since I was a child, having been raised on a farm where we always had all sorts of animals, including dogs and cats. We have had such wonderful pet-sitters of our own, that I want to give back as well and provide that loving care to your family pet with the comfort of knowing they are being loved. Each person that shares their family pet with me can be assured they are receiving an abundance of love as if my own fur baby. I am a doodle mom that is in awe of the pure love that our animals give to us freely without hesitation. We do not deserve dogs, but we have been given them to experience unconditional love and pure joy! I am a work at home mom, who truly enjoys spending time loving on dogs. I have never met a dog that I did not like, and they simply put a smile on my face and a pep in my step! I always ask families what makes their pet feel safest when entering their home so that I can follow that routine. I will always come in and provide space and time before approaching your pet as a new person to them. Spending time with your pet in the home first is important before we go outside, as they need to feel safe and loved.

About: I have been a pet shelter volunteer for the past 5 years. I am passionate about my furry friends and will always treat your baby as my own! I work part time and have lots of daily availability to drop in or provide walks, with notice I am available for boarding and overnight stays! I have a low stress home environment, no kids, no other animals. A full unfenced yard - i live close to a park so I am always walking and would be delighted to take pups for walks.
“Mia is a great help! She kept us updated each day after her visits and made sure she did everything to keep Rusty happy! She posted pictures to us everyday. I would love to work with Mia in future!”

Alexis came through and helped me out with my dog when I was in a last minute situation. She was easy to work with to figure out a scenario that worked for both of us and my dog. Easy communication, effective drop ins, and accommodated my asks! I really appreciate it!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Powell stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Powell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Powell with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
