“Yoniray and family have been great with my dog, a little Havanese. She took pictures and sent them through rover. I can tell he was given a lot of love during the stay!”

“Easy and flexible to work with, and my pup had a great stay! Fenced area is not big enough for my greyhound to run but received multiple walks throughout the day instead. Loved all the pics and updates!”

“Vainy helped us out with short notice and did an outstanding job! She sent pictures and was very easy to communicate with. My dogs seemed very happy when I picked them up. I would definitely trust her to watch my dogs again!”

About: Whether you need your dog to go for a nice long walk, have some outside playtime in the yard, or just belly rubs and pets so that they feel love, I am able to do all of it. Being a mom to an 9 month old pup of my own, I have puppy training and experience fresh in my mind. I will happily work on any skills you are trying to instill in your pup. I work full-time from home, but I am always available evenings and weekends for drop-in visits or boarding. For the right pup, weekly boarding is also available. I have a large fenced in yard to accommodate pups of all sizes and ages. I have a very friendly and playful pup of my own who will happily engage with your pup while here. If your pup enjoys privacy or quiet time in a crate, I can also accommodate that. I have multiple crate sizes as well as gates to block off areas when needed.
About: I have had a dog growing up ever since I was a little girl. I have always puppy sat for past neighbors and family members and treat them as my own! I love dogs, always have and now have my own Bernese mountain dog and chocolate lab! Very available and flexible with time to help care for your fur babies! I can provide as many potty breaks as needed- also have a dog park within our apartment neighborhood! As always I will treat any home I enter with the greatest respect and caution and will welcome mine to any dog I dog sit!
“Sally was so great with my pup Marge. I have a really hard time finding people I trust with her, as she is a bit reactive and can be a little mischevious ? Marge was so excited to go back to her house, and Sally kept me informed with updates all throughout the day that brightened my work day. I’d definitely recommend her!”

“We appreciate the communication and flexibility provided esp with a late scramble with another sitter this past couple of weeks. And, most importantly, we were confident our big fur-baby was happy and taken care of with walks and more!”

“I had something come up last minute and needed somewhere to take my boy for the day, and Ariana was able to accommodate us on short notice. He’s very anxious and doesn’t typically thrive in new environments and she took such good care of him and communicated all throughout day!”

“Maria was AMAZING with my dog! She was a literal lifesaver at the last minute and my puppy was tired at the end of his stay! Thank you SO much Maria! I highly recommend her!”

“Rachel was wonderful! She helped me with a last minute day care situation and she was extremely flexible and very quick to respond. She went out of her way to run her errands the day I contacted her so she would be able to stay home all day with my dog......on a Holiday. She provided me with pictures and updates throughout the day and was very caring for my dog. My dog has diabetes and she understood the nature of a diabetic dog. I was very glad to choose Rachel to take care of Boomer and will definitely contact her again when I am in the area. Rachel is very friendly and I would recommend her to my friends.”
About: Dogs make EVERY day better! Recently I was running a boutique dog daycare, boarding, and training facility in California before moving home to Ohio. Because of my 5 years there, I have immense knowledge and experience surrounding dog behavior, training, and caring for pups of all ages, breeds, sizes, and needs. I am also CPDT certified as a Positive Reinforcement trainer. I truly understand the importance of getting to know each pup individually and how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your dogs in and out of your home. I am working remote part time so I have tons of flexibility! I love being around dogs and am excited to be hands on with pups in my own town! I have a very large yard and patio for pups that visit my home! I also understand that many pups prefer the comfort of their own home and am comfortable and happy to pop in as needed when the pups need care or walks! I am extremely respectful of someone else's space and requirements when it comes to in home care.

A Wonderful Experience for Panda! Dan was absolutely amazing with my puppy, Panda! From the moment I dropped him off, I felt comfortable knowing he was in great hands. Dan took such great care of him, sent me pictures throughout the day, and even took Panda on runs so he could get plenty of exercise and have a great time. The sweetest part is that Panda really found a new best friend in Dan — or as I like to say, his new bear friend! 🐻❤️ You can tell Dan genuinely cares about the dogs and goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy, safe, and well cared for. Thank you, Dan, for treating Panda like one of your own. We truly appreciate you, and Panda can't wait to see his new friend again! 🐾❤️ Highly recommend Dan to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their fur baby!

Maria is a lifesaver and was able to help us last minute when we were in town for a relative's funeral. She sent so many photos of our dog during his stay and he clearly looked so happy! If we are ever in the area again and need someone to look after our pup, Maria will be the first person we try to book with.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
