“Emma was a delightful walking companion for Matcha this week. Keeping her best interests in mind: Getting a short walk in, then playing indoors to avoid the excessive heat and smoke in the area. Matcha took to her immediately!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since was 12! I used to check dogs in the neighborhood! I’ve even stayed at a house for two weeks taking care of two dogs one extremely geriatric. I am good with giving medication to dogs, getting them a daily walk, making sure they have frequent potty breaks, and a whole lot of belly rubs!! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for my own dog every day. I’m used to walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets lots of attention and affection. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. In my home or a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, potty breaks, medication, exercise, and routines. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and creating a calm, trustworthy environment where pets can feel relaxed and cared for.

About: Growing up I was always around dogs and had a dog of my own that I took care of. I loved taking him on walks, little trips, and even out to a lake. I’m coming home from college and have all the time to hang out with your fury friends! I’m available week days and able to come on weekends if needed. I have a fenced yard that allows a bunch of room for running around and having fun. I am also able to put the dogs on a leash or in a crate if needed.
“Ann is so kind, professional, and communicative, I highly recommend her! She posts pictures and is detailed with her walk route and your pet’s activities. We will definitely use her services again. :)”

About: I grew up on a farm, so I took care of cats, dogs, and various other farm type animals like horses and cows quite frequently. I also have a cat and two dogs back home that I take care of whenever I go back home. I’m currently waiting to hear back from multiple full time jobs, however this can take a while so at the moment I am usually free 24/7 for any pets who need taken care of! If I was to take a dog to my home, I have plenty of space for them to roam around inside as well as plenty of places outdoors to walk, or even go to the dog park if they enjoy going there. My apartment is perfect for a cat as well because there are plenty of windows for sunbathing and comfortable places to take naps, and for more active cats there is plenty of indoor space to play.
“Camille walked our puppy for a last minute booking. She came on time to let her out, walked her in the cold/rainy weather, and put more food in her bowl. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: As a dedicated pet sitter who works from home, I’m able to provide constant care and attention to your furry family member. With a secure fenced yard, your dog will enjoy plenty of outdoor time and bathroom breaks whenever needed. What truly sets me apart is the love we have for dogs—we treat every pup like one of our own. I regularly care for friends’ dogs while they're on vacation, and our home becomes a mini getaway for the pups too, with toys, snuggles, and parent-approved treats. Your dog won’t just be watched—they’ll be loved. Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to take dogs for walks during meeting breaks or let them play and relax in our fenced-in yard throughout the day. On weekends, I love exploring local trails and dog parks, and—with your approval— I’d be thrilled to include your dog in our outdoor adventures. Our fenced-in yard offers a safe and spacious area for dogs to play and get fresh air throughout the day. We have a large dog crate available if your pup prefers a quiet, secure space to rest. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor toys for playtime—you're welcome to bring your dog’s favorites too. Our sweet 3-year-old golden retriever, Lychee, is friendly and loves having playmates. We’re within walking distance of a fenced-in dog park, perfect for extra exercise and social time (with your approval). Frequent photo updates—I love capturing special moments to share with you. Your pet’s safety is our top priority; AirTag or pet GPS tracker available.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have been caring for them since I was about 10 years old. I’ve watched dogs for family, friends, and neighbors, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Whether your pup wants to play, go for a walk, or just cuddle on the couch, I’m happy to give them the love and attention they deserve while you’re away! I’m a senior at the University of South Carolina and am currently home in Powell for the summer! I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to spend with your pets. I’m available for boarding, walks, and drop-in visits throughout the summer and would love to help care for your pets! I have a fenced-in yard at home where your pup can safely play and get some energy out! I also have two friendly puppies of my own, so your dog can have some company if they enjoy being around other dogs. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care!

I grew up taking care of many types of animals but more specifically dogs. I have 3 dogs of my own, all different breeds and personalities, which really challenged me to be able to learn and grow with taking care of dogs. Mainly available for walks 7 days a week. Mostly open for drop ins 5-7 days a week ! I have a flexible schedule for last min bookings My 3 pets are EXTREMELY LOVED and spoiled! They have their own closets, foods, toys and even a room dedicated to my cats and dogs in case they just need that alone time away from the humans ! They receive the upmost care for grooming and vet clinic as well! My wallet is never happy when it comes to my pets because I just find so many ways to love them and spoil them!
About: I've had a dog in my home since I was born, having 7 different dogs in my home over my lifetime. For the first time in 32 years, I have no dog in my home, because I'm living with my sister and can't get one of my very own, but I have lots of doggie love to share with your pups! Im currently unemployed and lost my most recent dog last year, I'm not quite ready to take the plunge and get a dog yet, but I miss having a pup around and have a lot of doggie loving to give. I promise to treat your dogs with the utmost care, and like they were a member of my own family. I'll keep them safe and happy until you can be reunited.
About: I’ve had animals my whole life, and I currently take care of my senior Maltipoo. I’ve been dog-sitting and taking care of other people’s pets since I was a teenager. I currently only work a few days a week, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pet! Any stop in or walk will be treated as if they were my own pet. I truly just love animals, especially dogs, and I love getting to know their different personalities. Exercise and play time are so important for dogs, and I’m happy to help out with that!!

About: I’ve been pet-sitting for 2 or 3 years now, and I have 5 pets of my own so I’m very well versed in taking care of different types of dogs, no matter what breed or age! I mostly do side stuff like babysitting or pet sitting as a source of income, so I’m able pretty much whenever! I do have a job I’m starting soon but it will be part time, so I will still have lots of free time. I give my pets, and all those I watch, lots of attention and play time. Typically when I watch animals I stay for 30 minutes to an hour to make sure they’re getting all of the attention they deserve!
About: Growing up, I had a cat so from a young age I was introduced to the responsibilities of pets. The past few years, I have spent time in my neighborhood caring for all types of dogs and cats for families and learned the importance of commitment and communication involved with pet sitting. I work a part-time job at a local restaurant a few times each week for only a few hours. This enables me to have lots of free time and flexibility in my schedule. I will be able to let out, feed, walk, and simply hangout with the dogs periodically over the day. I care for pets with very much compassion because I understand what it is like to own and care for a pet. Safety is my number one priority and I will do everything I can to ensure a smooth pet-sitting experience.

About: We love dogs in our family. We had our own Poogle (Half Poodle and half beagle) who recently passed away. I am self employed and do a lot of work from home so I'm very flexible. My parents stay with us in the summers in a separate suite and have 3 small dogs. If they all get along, they can join the pack. If there's tension, it's easy to separate them. We have a huge yard and live surrounded by 6 acres of fields to run and play in. We also live walking distance from Liberty Park in Powell which provides miles of walking trails for your pup to enjoy! My wife and I are both self employed and have plenty of flexibility and time to give your pets loads of attention. They will be able to stay on their current feeding and exercise schedule without issue. We have a large yard and many nearby parks. Your pets can free roam inside the house at night or sleep in a crate as you prefer.
“Valerie was great! I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with her. And she spent time with my cats, too. I had a couple of days where I needed to leave special instructions and Valerie was totally on top of it! She sent lots of pictures and videos, and my dog enjoyed hanging out with her :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Powell
Magdalena was outstanding! She was very attentive and caring with our dog, and she engaged with him in different ways, including walks in the neighborhood and the nearby park and playing with him in the back yard and inside. Our dog gets anxious when we have to leave him at home, but she really helped mitigate his anxiety. We will gladly use her services again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
