“Marlyn was great, per usual! Had gotten some surprise buckeye football tickets and needed a spur of the moment dog sitter for the day. Only one person came to mind in this panic and that was Marlyn. She has watched our sweet Stella before and did such a great job. So much so she didn’t want to come home haha. Marlyn sent pictures and kept us posted the entirety of the day which always puts us at ease. 11/10 ✊🏽”

About: My 14yo Dachshund-mix has been in my family since her puppy years, and in her old age I wanted to maximize her health-span/quality of life. I walk her every day, make her food, and keep her strong with the occasional wrestling match. (: I have quite a wide range of availability, only working part time for the time being. I'm always hitting parks around me so your dog is in for some adventure! My apartment complex has a fenced in dog park to burn some energy in and possibly socialize. If your dog likes to run in the range of 2+ miles, I'm always looking for a jogging buddy. (:
“Therry was great with my dog Vinny!! He really seemed to love her and she was very reliable with sending me pictures and updates of him throughout. I will definitely be trusting Therry with Vinny in the future”

About: I volunteer every other week at CHA animal shelter. I have 2 dogs of my own and am very experienced with dogs. My neighbor goes on trips and I take care of her dogs and cats. I just graduated highschool and will be starting college in the fall. My summer is free and I'm saving up money to get a laptop for college. Trying to keep to animals schedule and routine. And taking time to get to know them and make sure they get the care they need. I am very empathetic and take my time with animals.
About: Hi, I’m VJ. I work from home most of the time, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. I have two dogs of my own: a 6-year-old female Bernese Mountain Dog and a medium male Goldendoodle. Both are gentle, submissive, and friendly with other dogs. My Bernese especially has a sweet “mama bear” personality and is very nurturing around other pets. My home is calm, dog-friendly, and comfortable. Pets are allowed on the furniture, and I want visiting dogs to feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family while they are here. I live in a quiet neighborhood with very little road noise, and there is a large community park close by where I can take dogs for walks, fresh air, and playtime based on their comfort level and your instructions. I’m best suited for dogs who are potty trained, friendly with other dogs, and not destructive in the home. I like to keep a peaceful environment, so I always prefer a meet-and-greet first to make sure your dog feels comfortable with me, my dogs, and the space. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I will follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any house rules you share. I’m also happy to send regular photo and message updates so you feel connected while you are away. Your dog will be treated with patience, affection, and respect in a safe home environment. I work from home most of the time, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day for potty breaks, feeding, playtime, walks, and supervision. I can give dogs plenty of attention and keep their routine as close as possible to what they are used to at home. Your dog will be cared for like part of the family in a calm, dog-friendly home. I have two sweet, submissive dogs who are used to being around other pets. My Bernese has a gentle “mama bear” personality, and my Goldendoodle loves to play fetch. I have an invisible fence for my own dogs, but I do not rely on it for visiting pets. Guest dogs are supervised outdoors and taken out on leash unless we discuss and agree on a safe routine together. I always prefer a meet-and-greet first to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. I also like to follow each dog’s normal feeding, potty, walk, playtime, and sleep routine as closely as possible so they feel relaxed and cared for while you are away.

I have done stop in's to feed, let out, walk, overnighters, walks, vet appointments and grooming appointments etc, I am open to help with what you need for your pet. Your pet will always have lots of attention and affection. I am currently working Mon, wed and Friday till 3pm. I have Tuesday and Thursday available as well as weekends free. I can be very flexible. How I love and spoil mine will be how I treat yours! Everything I can do to meet the needs of your pet to assure they are safe, comfortable, and love.
“Our dog Nessa can take a minute to warm up to new people, but seemed to like Grace from the start. When they got back from their 1st walk she had the zoomies all around the living room! Looking forward to working with Grace on our next overnight trip!”

About: I've been a veterinary technician in the ER for 23 years. I have A LOT of animal experience. I've also been a runner and a hiker for many years. Being on my feet, getting exercise and miles outdoors is what makes me happiest. Doing all that with a dog is even better. If you have a high-energy pup that craves a long-distance walk, or if you have an older, slower dog who prefers a casual stroll around the block, I'm ready to help. I work three 12-hour shifts a week. I am also raising 2 teenage children. When I'm not at work or shuttling my teens around town, I'm available and eager to be outside with a dog. I have a Golden Retriever of my own, who I love and care for like one of my children. I value all animals as members of the family.
“Regan was amazing!!! She helped me out last minute, was very professional and truly cared about my pup! In the pictures my dog looked beaming with joy on his adventures with her!! Will definitely book again!! Thank you so much Regan!!😊🫶🏽”

About: Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve worked with playful puppies, shy rescues, and older dogs who need a slower, more gentle approach. I’m especially patient and attentive, whether that means reinforcing basic training, sticking to a detailed routine, or just giving extra cuddles and reassurance. What makes me different is how much I truly treat every pet like family. I don’t just “watch” pet, I bond with them. I pay close attention to their behavior, energy, and comfort so they feel secure and loved while you’re away. I am currently a graduate student doing all online classes, so my schedule can quite be flexible! I have reliable transportation as well. I only have hour long workouts that can be moved to whatever time preferred. I provide care exclusively in my client’s home so pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I follow all care instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or specific preferences, so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. Safety is always a top priority. I’m careful to secure doors and entry points to prevent escapes, keep the environment clean and hazard-free, and respect any household rules you have in place. I also pay close attention to your pet’s behavior and well-being so I can quickly notice if anything seems off.
About: I have experience pet sitting for neighbors and through a dog kennel. I love each and every animals I meet and will not leave until every need is met! I currently on summer break and have plenty of time to spend with your pup! I prefer to keep Sunday’s free. However, if your dog needs me I’ll be there! I currently have a gsp and take him on walks every morning. We have a large yard so he gets to go out and play often. When watching others pets I make sure to check on them at least three times a day. I tend to stay longer at night so they can wind down and get comfortable before I leave.
“Elizabeth is a wonderful pet sitter...the other day storms came in suddenly and she provided his medication in a correct timely caring way. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER to be trusted in all situations with your fur babies.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
