I retired from my corporate accounting job in Dec25. I will be volunteering at the humane society and I am interested in helping others with their pet care when they travel. Since I am retired I have lots of flexibility.

For client homes I would visit as requested and spend time getting to know the pet to make them feel comfort. First stop would be checking litter boxes, food and water. I would look to play with the pet and their favorite toys. For dogs I would love to go for walks and get more steps!

Please feel free to tell me everything about your pet. I want to get to know them like my own. I want to know about their favorite treats, favorite toys, parks, etc. I also want to know if they have any special needs or diet requirements. There is no such thing as too much information!
A typical day
For cats I will spend time playing, petting or lap time whatever they need. For dogs I will take them for walks, play in the yard or just hang out. Food water and litter box checks will also be done as needed. I'm also happy to bring in mail/packages and water plants if needed.

Pet care experience
I grew up with multiple dogs as a kid and I found my love for cats as I got older. I currently have one cat named Stella and my family still has dogs that I spend time with on the weekends. I retired from my corporate accounting job in Dec 25 and signed up to volunteer at the humane society as well as Rover. I know when I travel I am more comfortable knowing that my cat Stella has a great Rover sitter. I hope to return that same comfort to other pet owners when they travel away from their furry friends.
