“4th… maybe 5th visit (but who’s counting😅) and ember has absolutely loved visiting every time! Always has fun running around and spending time with her dogs, but also laying around and enjoying family time! Always love the updates Loni provides to make sure my pup is doing amazing - already have the next visit planned and I know ember is excited already!”

“Lindsay was amazing with our dog, Rue! She sent frequent updates and was very easy to communicate with. Rue has a history of seizures, and we were so reassured knowing Lindsay has had experience with this previously. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family and will absolutely be reaching out next time I’m in town!”

“Deanna provided such a great experience for my fur baby. She was very attentive to her and made her feel right at home. Deanna kept me informed of her progress and provided me with pictures and videos throughout her stay. Deanna’s dogs are very social and well behaved and welcomed my dog into their little pack. I could tell my Sofee had the time of her life. I would definitely rebook with Deanna.”

“Karl is AMAZING! He watched our girls over our wedding weekend and it was so nice not to have to worry about them one bit. He sent pictures and updates through the weekend and somehow got our pullers to walk nicely on a leash. They came back tired from a weekend full of fun! Karl went above and beyond to support us and take care of our girlies and we will definitely be using his services again!”

“Lovie was an awesome sitter! She was super communicative, responsive, caring, and kind. She provided us with many updates and pictures during our puppy’s stay. She took her to the dog park and did activities to keep her engaged and fulfilled. She loved our dog so well while we were away!”

About: Hi, I’m VJ. I work from home most of the time, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. I have two dogs of my own: a 6-year-old female Bernese Mountain Dog and a medium male Goldendoodle. Both are gentle, submissive, and friendly with other dogs. My Bernese especially has a sweet “mama bear” personality and is very nurturing around other pets. My home is calm, dog-friendly, and comfortable. Pets are allowed on the furniture, and I want visiting dogs to feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family while they are here. I live in a quiet neighborhood with very little road noise, and there is a large community park close by where I can take dogs for walks, fresh air, and playtime based on their comfort level and your instructions. I’m best suited for dogs who are potty trained, friendly with other dogs, and not destructive in the home. I like to keep a peaceful environment, so I always prefer a meet-and-greet first to make sure your dog feels comfortable with me, my dogs, and the space. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I will follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any house rules you share. I’m also happy to send regular photo and message updates so you feel connected while you are away. Your dog will be treated with patience, affection, and respect in a safe home environment. I work from home most of the time, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day for potty breaks, feeding, playtime, walks, and supervision. I can give dogs plenty of attention and keep their routine as close as possible to what they are used to at home. Your dog will be cared for like part of the family in a calm, dog-friendly home. I have two sweet, submissive dogs who are used to being around other pets. My Bernese has a gentle “mama bear” personality, and my Goldendoodle loves to play fetch. I have an invisible fence for my own dogs, but I do not rely on it for visiting pets. Guest dogs are supervised outdoors and taken out on leash unless we discuss and agree on a safe routine together. I always prefer a meet-and-greet first to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. I also like to follow each dog’s normal feeding, potty, walk, playtime, and sleep routine as closely as possible so they feel relaxed and cared for while you are away.
“Marlyn is fantastic! Super kind and easy to communicate with. You can really tell that she cares for each animal and the owners. Our Willow loves going over to Marlyn’s to play with other dogs and Bruno! Highly highly recommend, she helped put a lot of my first time puppy mom anxiety to ease around boarding 😊”

“Alyssa was great! She helped take care of our puppy Nova while we were on a weekend vacation. It allowed us to relax and not have to worry about our baby. Also, her 2 fur babies got along well with Nova and we even were able to do a pre meet before the vacation. Plus they have a nice yard in the back. Alyssa sent updates and photos throughout our trip. She’s very friendly and easy to talk to. Would recommend!”

“Gabby has been watching Rosa often for the last couple of years and is the best dog sitter I've ever had. I know Rosa is well taken care of and happy when she is at Gabby's house. I receive pictures often of her playing in the backyard and with her toys. She is attentive and flexible to my schedule for pick-up/drop-off. I can't recommend Gabby enough!”

“Once again, Ashley did a wonderful job boarding our dog. I am very disappointed to hear that she will not be able to offer boarding in the future at her new apartment due to policy.”

“I cant recommend Erin enough, she is the best! When I got a new puppy I was a bit nervous about finding a sitter to continue with our routine and spend the extra time needed for a puppy, but Erin scheduled a meet & greet to learn all about Skye’s training and get to know us. Skye hit it off right away with Erin and her 2 dogs. I love that she sends updates and photos a couple of times a day so I know that she is having a blast and getting lots of attention while she’s away from home.”

“My dog had a wonderful stay with Carly! She was flexible with drop off and pick up times, took him for several long walks, played with him, and sent great photo/video updates! She even wrote him a little report card 🥹 She went above and beyond and my pup can’t wait to visit her again! Thank you so much!”

“This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Jessie with someone we didn’t know and so I was definitely a bit nervous. But Caitlin was phenomenal and just speaking with her helped ease my anxiety. She was friendly, responsive and provided me with updates that made me feel much better during Jessie’s stay. I highly recommend Caitlin to my fellow pet parents looking for a professional and caring sitter!”

“Erica was a great sitter for our little one. Easy to talk to and plan things with. Sent pictures and videos of our dog to us everyday. Our dog is a cuddler at night and she went out of her way to make sure our dog was cuddled right next to her or her husband while they slept. Would recommend!”
“Carol did such an amazing job with Ruby; they were fast friends and Ruby had a great time. It was the perfect retreat from the craziness Ruby often experiences at her usual boarding place - we’ll definitely be asking Carol to watch her again!”

Rose (Ashley Rose) did an AMAZING job with Hope's first overnight experience! Rose is so attentive to Hope, and notices right away what she may need or want. Hope is a rescue, and she is very timid and shy, but she did GREAT on her first overnight stay, thanks to Rose's attentive care. I cannot thank Rose enough for taking such good care of my baby!

Leslie watched our 2 dogs for 1 week this summer and i could not have felt more comfortable. Leslie is very thorough in her process and extremely tentative to monitoring the dogs and their behaviors to make sure they are comfortable. She sent us pictures and videos everyday and gave us updates on what they did. We will for sure be using Leslie again for future boarding needs.

Tyra took great care of Rocky! She was always responsive, kept me updated throughout his stay, and regularly sent photos and videos, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Rocky had a great time playing with her dogs and came home happy and relaxed. It was clear that he was well cared for and got plenty of attention. I would definitely book with Tyra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!

Repeat customer! My pup feels right at home with Jerad and Sarah. I really appreciate the frequent photo updates, their flexibility with scheduling, and the care they show while she's in their home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy dog sitters.

We had a wonderful experience with Sarah! Our pups came home happy, healthy, and clearly well-loved. We were especially nervous about leaving our new rescue, but Sarah’s frequent updates and photos completely put our minds at ease. It was such a relief to see them settling in so well. We can’t recommend her enough! 😊

Olivia and Josh were absolutely amazing with Cookie! They kept us updated with pictures, and consistently let my partner and I know how she was doing throughout the stay. We could tell Cookie was comfortable and happy with them the entire twelve days they watched her, which is always what you want out of a pet sitter. We would always recommend trusting Olivia and Josh with your fur baby ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
