“Lauren and Austin were great with our 4 month old shepherd mix Cooper. They have a nice fenced in back yard and a loving Bernice mtn dog that our puppy got to be great friends with. They only take 1 dog at time which meant they could devote full time taking care of Cooper. Would highly recommend them!”

“Very much appreciated Kyla watching our Nori while we were out of town for the holiday. He is a large hyper fuzzball but he came home tuckered out, so I know he got his exercise! Also appreciated the flexibility in drop off and pick up times.”

“I love her, Hayley loves her. She would send me pictures and videos to update me on my fur baby. I was so worried about leaving her alone with someone new and the updates really helped. I will be booking Ms. Tamisha again.”

“Jessica was absolutely amazing. She made me feel completely comfortable leaving my baby boy with her and sent so many cute pictures along the way. Highly recommended.”
“Megan and family were incredible with my dog Indy! I felt so relieved that she could stay with such an awesome family and be taken care of while we were away. Indy is a senior dog so certainly more needy across the board but she was in great hands. Would rebook with them in a heartbeat!”

“Lauren took great care of Zuri! She has a great space for dogs, handled medications/other needs well, was flexible with a last-minute booking, and sent frequent updates and pictures. We will definitely be back in the future!”

“They took great care of my active dog Honey and sent updates and videos while I was away for that extra peace of mind. Thanks Michelle and Justin for the wonderful love and attention you gave Honey while we were away!!!”

“We love Anjanette! She is our go-to sitter for whenever we are away. Milo is always excited to be with Anjanette and we know he will be treated as her family dog with love and care”

“Once again, Ashley did a wonderful job boarding our dog. I am very disappointed to hear that she will not be able to offer boarding in the future at her new apartment due to policy.”

“Brian Thank you for taking care of my Harper. I felt a sense of peace seeingthe daily updates and pictures of him and Mario playing and enjoying each other. It looked like Harper settled in quite well from the photos. Moreover, the flexibility in scheduling drop/pickup times for me during this trip was so appreciated. Thank you again for being so awesome! I would highly recommend”

“Alexandria did an excellent job with my dog, Pluto! She was very attentive and made me feel very comfortable keeping him! I absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter!”

“Zach was awesome with our rescued pit mix!! Our pup has some anxiety and can be nervous around other dogs, but he felt right at home during his stay. Zach sent pictures and videos throughout our trip which was much appreciated and helped put us at ease. We’ll definitely bring our pup back for future stays!”
“Lauren was absolutely wonderful! I recently had to travel to welcome my first grandchild, and leaving my dog Roxie behind was tough but Lauren made the entire experience stress free. She was flexible, kind, and incredibly communicative, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I could tell Roxie was well cared for and loved, and I’m so grateful to have found someone so trustworthy. Highly recommend Lauren if you’re looking for someone who treats your pet like family!”

“Karl was wonderful with Zeke. He has a great energy with dogs, took him on long walks, kept us updated and was easy to communicate with. He rolled even with some last minute changes to the schedule and had a great attitude. We’ll definitely be requesting him again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Albany
I had a great experience with Taylor watching my dog, George. She is friendly, communicative, and flexible! George stayed with her for close to 2 weeks while I was traveling, and she really allowed me to feel relaxed and like he was in great hands while I was away. I would recommend Taylor to anyone!

Zachary was absolutely amazing with Coco! From the moment we dropped him off, we felt completely at ease. He provided consistent updates, photos, and made sure we knew Coco was comfortable and well cared for the entire time. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches, and Coco came back happy and relaxed. Communication was great, and everything was handled professionally. Highly recommend Zachary to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive sitteR

Jason was awesome. He kept me updated and sent pics everyday, and it looked like Bender was having a great time! Jason was so accommodating with Bender’s hip and back issues; he put runners out over the hardwood and was careful to make sure Bender didn’t overdo it and had help getting around. He’s probably been the best sitter we’ve had on here.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
