I’ve cared for animals my entire life and have been fostering dogs for the past four years, working with a wide range of ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m a current volunteer at the Franklin County Dog Shelter. Through fostering and training required by the shelter, I’ve spent a lot of time learning to read canine body language and understand what dogs need to feel safe and comfortable. I’ve walked and handled dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I focus on providing calm, reliable care you can trust. I understand not all dogs are dog friendly, and traditional boarding is not an option for them. I want to be a safe home, where they can feel comfortable knowing they are the only pet and you have peace of mind knowing they are getting the care/love they deserve.

Leah provided great care and was super responsive to a modification of our original plan. She sent updates with photos to keep us aware of how Lucy was doing. Very understanding of our older dog's needs.

I currently work full time as a graphic designer and my schedule has been modified to weekend boardings or dog walkings (Friday-Sunday only). I’m sorry for any inconvenience, I truly miss being available for your dogs full time!

I live in a safe, quiet neighborhood with great areas for walking dogs. Even if your dog is friendly, I make it a priority to avoid contact with other animals while we’re outside to ensure everyone’s safety. In my home, dogs are welcome on the couch for cuddles and are treated like part of the family. They can free roam or be crated based on their comfort level and your preference. I’m happy to follow any feeding or walking schedule you provide, and I know the importance of staying connected while you’re away. Throughout the day, I will provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and at ease while your pup is in my care.

A typical day
I love keeping dogs engaged and happy while they’re in my care. Depending on what they enjoy, we can go on car rides, take long walks, or play with toys. I can also provide mental stimulation through lick mats, sniffing games, and other activities that help tire them out. My favorite part is cuddling on the couch and soaking up all the love. They’re always welcome to join me for some quiet downtime and affection.
