“My miniature Goldendoodle was in great spirits after her 7-day stay. I got plenty of updates. No issues were noted with her care. I would highly recommend them to anyone!”

“Pam and her husband are the absolute best! We set up a meet and greet before our trip, and my dog instantly loved them both from the start. Pam asked great questions and took detailed notes about Jaxx’s care, so I knew he would be in great hands. And they sent wonderful pictures, videos, and updates throughout our entire trip. Jaxx had a great time and I didn’t have to worry at all while I was away. Thank you!!!”

“My dog had a wonderful stay with Carly! She was flexible with drop off and pick up times, took him for several long walks, played with him, and sent great photo/video updates! She even wrote him a little report card 🥹 She went above and beyond and my pup can’t wait to visit her again! Thank you so much!”

“Wrigley has stayed with Michelle and Nicholas twice and both times have went great! They are very easy to work with and have a great home for a pet toy stay in.”

“I felt comfortable with Cameo right away and knew my pup was in good hands. I received updates and good reports on how things were going for the week. I would definitely use Cameo again in the future!”

“Lori was amazing!!! She made me feel very comfortable with leaving Charlie with her. You can tell she enjoys animals and sent pictures of Charlie during her stay. We highly recommend and will be using her services again?”
“Kelsey was absolutely amazing! We left our golden retriever with her for a week and had no issues! I was very She communicated and send us pictures of her everyday! I highly recommend her to anyone!!”

“Erika took care of my two babies while I was traveling. Unfortunately, my previous dog sitter is no longer in the area, so I had to find a new sitter. Both my dogs are rescue dogs, so I always worry when they go to a new place. I had no need to worry. When we did our meet and greet, they did well. During the time they stayed with Erika she sent me pictures and updates regularly. There was a small issue with one who has a sensitive stomach and she immediately reached out to me to confirm how to handle. She was willing to give a probiotic every day, to keep my boy on his schedule. I appreciate all those details very much. It is such a relief to find a good honest person to take care of my pups when I need to be away. I will definitely use Erika again.”

“Maria is so wonderful! I was worried about being gone from our small dog for 3 weeks but Maria took excellent care of her and sent daily updates and pictures to ease my mind. She let Addie sleep in her bed and gave her meds regularly. I’m so happy to have found her and highly recommend!”

“Thomas was absolutely amazing with our Corgi pup! He is personable, professional, and took great care to learn our dog's personality and needs before meeting. He is wonderful at sending updates and communicating any concerns or questions promptly. Livi loved her vacation with Thomas and can hardly wait to go back.”

“Halina and Ted are so kind and loving to our llttle Trey! This was our first booking, we never had a concenr while we were away!! We receive pictures and updates on his time with them. So comforting knowing he is well cared for and receiving many snuggles. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!”

“Katie provided a great environment for our dog, who suffers from severe separation anxiety. She kept us updated and was great at communicating. Highly recommend!”

“Wonder with our needy and at times difficult dogs. This was our first big trip leaving our 2 dogs with someone other then close friends and we were very pleased with how they were cared for.”

“Marlyn is Amazing! She provided extraordinary care for my dog for three weeks. She treated my dog as if she was a member of her family. I always felt confident that my dog was in good hands, which allowed me to enjoy my vacation. Marlyn provided lots of updates and photos of my dog having a great time. Thank you Marlyn! I appreciate you!”

“Amazing Care for My Pup! 🐾 We really appreciated the care and patience that Maia provided to Remy who still very much has puppy energy but is already almost full size. Maia provided outstanding care for my dog while I was away. From the moment we met, it was clear how much she genuinely loves and cares about her own dog, Kermit so I was very comfortable leaving Remy in her care. If Maia would be willing to take Remy again, I absolutely would book with her again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch pet care! 🐶💕”

“We had a great experience with Ashley Communication was excellent throughout, and they were very patient and attentive with our dog. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We're very happy with the service and would definitely recommend!”

“Karla is super sweet and super flexible! She’s great with the dogs and gave lots of cute pictures and honest updates! It was my anxious puppy’s first stay with strangers as well as other dogs and they made fast friends :) she’s very responsible and has a great environment for the dogs, and shes very kind and understanding with them as well as you :) I would recommend Karla for a dog of any size, age or temperament, she did a great job and I will definitely be back!”

“Carol was amazing with Oakley! She was very attentive to his needs and his schedule. She regularly sent me updates on how he was doing, and she went above and beyond! I would trust her with anyone’s pet! 😊”

“Dawn was incredible. From the warm welcome upon my last minute business trip in which Atticus couldn’t join. Dawn provided fresh chicken and daily walks and her updates were detailed and lovely. Such a wonderful experience. Will be back. Thank you!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Worthington
Abbie was the best! We booked her to stay at our house from Friday to Friday and throughout the stay was very communicative, sent lots of photos throughout the stay, gave our dog his meds, and we could tell our dog was happy when we got home. On days she had to work during our dog’s regular potty breaks, she not only let us know but offered someone who could help with those potty break times (our neighbors came a couple times instead but we sincerely appreciated that she had those times covered). When our flight home was cancelled and we had to take 3 flights (through 3 countries) home, she was ready to stay another night just in case and stayed super late to make sure Paul was taken care of. Could not recommend her more!

Lindsey was excellent! She sent me photos daily of my Leo as well as descriptions of his daily activities! She walked him daily and since she also has a dog , leo had a playmate; which he loves! I definitely will book with her again in the future! Also , I know for some owners , like myself, cleanliness is important and her home was very clean and tidy!

Corey did amazing watching my little man. He was able to accommodate us with a last minute request and was very communicative throughout my pups stay at his place. He sent such cute pictures that eased my mind showing my baby was clearly cared for and happy. He stuck to my elderly dogs medicine schedule and I couldn't be happier. Will book again!

Erika was such a great sitter!! She sent pictures and updates on my dog Kobe; she also stated my dog ate all his food multiple days which he typically doesn't do with other sitters. Overall, I came back to a healthy, happy pup and I'll definitely be using Erika and her family again.

Our dog Lilo just spent a week at her new favorite vacation destination! She had the very best time making new friends and relaxing. Communication was great while we were gone, we received updates and photos on a daily base. Dianna & Mackenzie are very accommodating and we‘ll be back for future boarding.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
