“Cindy was so great! Jax, had a wonderful time. Cindy consistently shared photos and updates with how he was doing, so I didn’t have to worry one bit! I would definitely book her again!”

“She was great! Took awesome care of our dogs despite one of them having severe separation anxiety! Wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 15 years, and I truly love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs. I have experience with sweet senior dogs who need a little extra medical care and patience, as well as energetic younger pups who thrive on playtime and activity. Since I work from home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and cuddles throughout the day. I have an older beagle and two laid-back cats, so I understand how important it is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. Your pet will be loved and cared for like one of my own. I will follow any and all directions etc given so your fur baby is the most comfortable
“Kassi is great! Our puppy had a great time staying with her, loved running in her back yard and taking a nice walk around the neighborhood, and enjoyed cuddling on the couch. It is nice to be able to leave your pup in such a caring environment!”

“My dogs Tommy and Sandy had an excellent stay! They played and ran in Ashley's big fenced in back yard, and got on well with her pets. They were so excited when we got there, they barely gave me a second look as I walked out the door. I will definitely use Ashley again. Even though I love my vet and the kennel I've used in the past, I like the thought of them "at home" in a comfortable setting, knowing they are being well taken care of,”

“We had a wonderful experience booking with Lizmarie. She invited us to do a meet and greet before the official booking to ensure our dogs got along with her children. She updated us with photos whenever we asked. It is obvious she has a lot of experience with dogs and she genuinely cares for them. I would definitely want to book with her again and would recommend her to any of my fellow pawrents!”

“Carol did such an amazing job with Ruby; they were fast friends and Ruby had a great time. It was the perfect retreat from the craziness Ruby often experiences at her usual boarding place - we’ll definitely be asking Carol to watch her again!”

“Andrew and his family took great care of Luna. She seems to have settled in quickly with his family of people and pups and came home happy. Would absolutely book with him again.”

“Our girl, Gracie stayed with Leslie for almost two weeks while we were away for vacation. I was apprehensive to leave her with someone that long, but my concerns immediately faded as soon as I met Leslie. She is the ultimate animal lover!!! She treated Gracie as if she was her own pet. Leslie sent texts, photos, and emails almost every other day. I whole-heartedly recommend Leslie to any dog owner and will definitely re-book with her in the future.”

“I can't say enough wonderful things about Fernanda & Bruno. They kept us updated with text and pictures throughout our puppy's stay with them. I highly recommend and trust them to take care of our fur baby and will definitely request their services when I need a pet sitter. Thank you Fernanda and Bruno for giving our baby so much love and attention.”

“Lauren was fantastic with my dog, she did what I had recommended when it came to watching my dog and went above and beyond. Sent cute adorable videos and photos of my dog and assured me he would be okay. 10/10 will be going back again soon!”

I treat every furry guest like a member of the family, ensuring they get plenty of attention, playtime, and a cozy place to rest. Plus, if your pet has any special medical needs or strict medication schedules, my clinical training ensures they will be handled perfectly.
“Incredibly thoughtful and personal communicators. Most of all, our dog loves being with Michelle, Nicholas, and their dog Waffles. We feel extremely comfortable.”

“Mary was absolutely amazing with Layla! She communicated consistently and thoughtfully, sending pictures at least twice a day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Layla usually goes on a bit of a hunger strike when I leave, but she was so comfortable with Mary that she ate every single meal. That alone says everything! Layla looked genuinely happy in every photo and was clearly very well cared for. Mary also shared how much she loved spending time with Layla, and it truly sounds like they both had a great time together. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be using Mary’s services again in the future.”

“Gary and Heather were amazing with our Corgi, Riley! I could tell by the daily pictures they sent that she was comfortable and loved while in their care. We will definitely book with them again!”

“My second time booking with Kevin and my dog was excited when we got there. He has a great fenced in yard that is perfect for my older dog. I have already booked again and highly recommend him”

Corey did amazing watching my little man. He was able to accommodate us with a last minute request and was very communicative throughout my pups stay at his place. He sent such cute pictures that eased my mind showing my baby was clearly cared for and happy. He stuck to my elderly dogs medicine schedule and I couldn't be happier. Will book again!

I was nervous about leaving my senior golden retriever with some anxiety. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly she settled in. The plethora of beds and available toys made my girl feel comfortable. I could tell from the videos and pics that she was enjoying her mini vacation at Carly’s! I appreciated the updates and the report card at the end! I would definitely recommend her and will reach out with future needs!

Erika was such a great sitter!! She sent pictures and updates on my dog Kobe; she also stated my dog ate all his food multiple days which he typically doesn't do with other sitters. Overall, I came back to a healthy, happy pup and I'll definitely be using Erika and her family again.

Shannon and Matthew did a wonderful job sitting my 7 mo kitten, Rudy! You can tell that they genuinely love animals and I felt extremely confident that Rudy was in great hands. They were communicative and overall very easy to work with. I would recommend and book with them again!

John and Shannon were wonderful with our dog Oslo. You can tell this family really loves dogs. We got sweet updates throughout our trip. Oslo was happy to see us at the end but we think he would have been happy to stay with his new family - ha! I was particularly struck by their flexibility and resourcefulness when our flight was canceled coming home from our trip. They were gracious, flexible and communicative.

Our dog Lilo just spent a week at her new favorite vacation destination! She had the very best time making new friends and relaxing. Communication was great while we were gone, we received updates and photos on a daily base. Dianna & Mackenzie are very accommodating and we‘ll be back for future boarding.

Lauren was great! Libby felt right at home and settled in really quickly. The huge fenced in back yard was definitely a plus and libby loved hanging out back there. We really appreciated how communicative and responsive Lauren was and we will definitely be using her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
