“Amazing Care for My Pup! 🐾 We really appreciated the care and patience that Maia provided to Remy who still very much has puppy energy but is already almost full size. Maia provided outstanding care for my dog while I was away. From the moment we met, it was clear how much she genuinely loves and cares about her own dog, Kermit so I was very comfortable leaving Remy in her care. If Maia would be willing to take Remy again, I absolutely would book with her again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch pet care! 🐶💕”

“Megan and family were incredible with my dog Indy! I felt so relieved that she could stay with such an awesome family and be taken care of while we were away. Indy is a senior dog so certainly more needy across the board but she was in great hands. Would rebook with them in a heartbeat!”

“Yasmin and Syed are amazing. They treated our dog like she was their own. They played with her, followed all feeding and treat instructions to a T, and just generally spoiled her. Yasmin was easy to communicate with, and sent updates with pictures throughout the stay. She is our first choice from now on.”

“Liz was so wonderful! Our pup had a health emergency on the second day and she quickly took him to our vet and got meds for him. She then had to deal with his upset stomach and a sick pup. I'm so thankful she was so amazing! She dealt with it all like a pro and really cared for our dog.”

“Pam is absolutely amazing! She really makes sure to get to know you and your pup prior to your pup’s sleepover! We felt so comfortable leaving our dog with her and will definitely be using her again!”

About: Whether you need your dog to go for a nice long walk, have some outside playtime in the yard, or just belly rubs and pets so that they feel love, I am able to do all of it. Being a mom to an 9 month old pup of my own, I have puppy training and experience fresh in my mind. I will happily work on any skills you are trying to instill in your pup. I work full-time from home, but I am always available evenings and weekends for drop-in visits or boarding. For the right pup, weekly boarding is also available. I have a large fenced in yard to accommodate pups of all sizes and ages. I have a very friendly and playful pup of my own who will happily engage with your pup while here. If your pup enjoys privacy or quiet time in a crate, I can also accommodate that. I have multiple crate sizes as well as gates to block off areas when needed.
“Kristine took care of our puppy overnight and was a wonderful host. It was our first time using Rover, and she helped us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. We had an opportunity to have a virtual meet/greet which helped answer many of our questions. During the stay she kept us updated with pictures and provided assurance on how well things were going. 100% recommend. Thank you!”

“Kelsey was absolutely amazing! We left our golden retriever with her for a week and had no issues! I was very She communicated and send us pictures of her everyday! I highly recommend her to anyone!!”

“Did a test night with Zeus as he can be a bit dramatic and needy due to separation anxiety. Abigail and her husband did a great job keeping him calm and he ate more food than he normally would away from home. I got updates from Abigail on how he was doing and excited to use them again for an upcoming trip!”

About: What truly sets me apart is my professional veterinary background. Having worked for two years in a vet clinic, I have hands-on experience dealing with a wide range of medical and behavioral situations. I am completely confident and trained in administering vaccines, monitoring health, and managing medications—skills that give pet parents ultimate peace of mind, especially those with senior animals or pets needing specialized medical care. In addition to my clinical training, I bring three years of personal, dedicated experience caring for Lincoln. This balance of professional medical know-how and genuine, day-to-day pet parenting means I know exactly how to keep your pet safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pet requires an extra-observant eye, precise medical care, or just someone who truly understands animal behavior, I have the skills to handle it with ease. Pet care is a natural, seamless part of my everyday life. Between my three years of daily care for Lincoln and my background working in a busy vet clinic, I am highly accustomed to keeping animals on structured routines. Whether I am providing boarding, daycare, or drop-in visits, I structure my days around a consistent schedule of timely feedings, outdoor exercise, and close health monitoring. Because of my clinical training, keeping a watchful eye on a pet's energy levels, appetite, and bathroom habits is second nature to me. I treat every client's routine as a top priority, ensuring your pet gets their medication, walks, and attention exactly when they need it. In My Home: Safety & Routine First When pets stay with me, they enter a safe, highly supervised environment. Thanks to my veterinary background, my home is completely pet-proofed, and I maintain a strict, structured routine for feeding, exercise, and bathroom breaks. Because I have three years of experience managing Lincoln’s daily routine, I know how important consistency is for a guest pet's comfort. I treat every furry guest like a member of the family, ensuring they get plenty of attention, playtime, and a cozy place to rest. Plus, if your pet has any special medical needs or strict medication schedules, my clinical training ensures they will be handled perfectly.
“My dog Bella has been cared for by Andrew twice now, and both times she’s been absolutely happy and well taken care of. The second time we went my dog got excited as we pulled up to the house, remembering what a good time she had during her last visit. Highly recommended!”

“Tom was amazing! I can say enough great things about my dogs stay. It was a quick weekend trip, but we got lots of updates and pictures of my dog. When I went to pick my dog up, he didn’t want to leave!”

“Corey did amazing watching my little man. He was able to accommodate us with a last minute request and was very communicative throughout my pups stay at his place. He sent such cute pictures that eased my mind showing my baby was clearly cared for and happy. He stuck to my elderly dogs medicine schedule and I couldn't be happier. Will book again!”

“Vainy was wonderful with our dog Ollie. This was the first time using Rover so I was apprehensive but Vainy kept us continually updated with photos with Ollie going for walks, taking naps etc.”

“Coco had a great time!! Allison is great at sending updates (pictures and videos) enjoying her time, which made it easier for us to be away from Coco for so many days. Thank you Allison!”

“Will and Bibiana were amazing! Very responsive and sent us lots of pictures. Aldo and Naxos had a great time playing in the backyard and enjoyed their walks. They are worn out from all the play time!”

“Sooky had a great time. Cindy was great and I felt so comfortable leaving Sooky in her care. Cindy kept me updated on how Sooky was doing and sent great pictures. Definitely will book with Cindy again.”

Justin was very responsive and kept me updated by sending photos of Mocha during his stay. My puppy has stayed with Justin multiple times, and I have never been disappointed. It’s clear that he and his son genuinely care about the dogs they watch. I highly recommend Justin and his son to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitters.

Angela was great with our dog Zoey! We came into town for a wedding so she let us introduce her to Zoey, and us, the day before. We really appreciated the opportunity to meet her ahead of time. Zoey enjoyed her time there. They had good walks and Angela sent me updates and pics. We would definitely have Zoey stay with her again!

Karolina and her family were wonderful with our dog who can be nervous when away from home. She sent us several pictures updating us on how things were going and it was nice to see our dog settle in and get comfortable so quickly. Karolina was very flexible with our pick up time as well. I felt comfortable leaving our anxious dog with them and definitely hope to use her again in the future!

Absolutely amazing experience. Great communication, tons of photos. You could tell in the picture how calm and happy my dog was. Laura and Joey followed all my requests/wants/needs perfectly and gave him all his medication. Would recommend to anyone. We got stuck at the airport and they were able to accommodate him for an additional night/day (making a grand total of 17 days). Will use again when going out of town.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
