“Absolutely AMAZING! I had to book at the last minute, and not only was she accommodating, but she also loved my energetic pup like no other. She went above and beyond to share photos and updates while we were on vacation. I never had to worry if he was in good hands b/c he was having the time of his life. I will use Ashley for all my pup daycare needs. She was awesome to work with and loved and cared for my pup. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Kaya had an amazing stay with Bethany. She got to run around outside to her hearts content. Bethany followed the medicine schedule that was needed, and also sent multiple pictures and updates throughout the day. Will def use her services again!”

“Sooky had a great time. Cindy was great and I felt so comfortable leaving Sooky in her care. Cindy kept me updated on how Sooky was doing and sent great pictures. Definitely will book with Cindy again.”

“Rayann was great!! She was very easy to communicate with and provided great care. She has a nice yard which my pup loved and he even made friends with her son! She sent updates and I would definitely recommend her!”

“Justin was very responsive and kept me updated by sending photos of Mocha during his stay. My puppy has stayed with Justin multiple times, and I have never been disappointed. It’s clear that he and his son genuinely care about the dogs they watch. I highly recommend Justin and his son to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitters.”

“I had an emergency while traveling and my return trip was delayed. When you're handling severe weather and major delays, the last thing you want to worry about is whether your pet can be cared for. Lauren was very communicative and I knew my boy was safe and sound while I was scrambling to get home. A+++”

“My wife just spent a two weeks in the hospital and Will was a great help in minding our dogs. The dogs were happy to hang out with their buddy Pumpkin and Will took great care of them. The photos and regular updates were most appreciated.”

“Bo is always comfortable and calm with Waffles’ family. Never a shortage of cute photos of the two of them having adventures! They’re our go-to!”

About: My sweet beagle passed away this summer, and while I’m not ready to bring home another dog yet, I still deeply love pups. So here I am on Rover, hoping to scratch that dog-itch while caring for others. I’m new to the platform, but not new to loving and caring for dogs. I work from home, so your pup gets company and attention all day. I’m active and enjoy walking, live close to a big park, and have a yard right at my apartment for easy outdoor time. I’m a naturally clear, proactive communicator—you’ll get updates and photos without having to ask. I’m responsible, easygoing, and just want to spend my time around dogs. I’d love to take great care of yours! Since I work from home, dogs I care for get plenty of company throughout the day—walks, playtime, and check-ins built right into my normal routine. Mornings usually start with a walk (we’re close to a big park, so there’s plenty of room to roam), with more potty breaks and playtime spaced through the day depending on your pup’s needs. I’m easy to reach and happy to send updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing. I only care for one dog (or one family’s dogs) at a time. I’m not trying to build a pet boarding business, just looking for some side income and to get pup time, so your dog (or dogs, if you have a pair) gets my full attention. My apartment isn’t huge, but it’s clean, calm, and relaxing, and I’m on the first floor right by the door (easy in and out access). I don’t have kids, so it’s a quiet, low-chaos environment. I spent 11 years as an elementary school teacher, so caring for others (kids, families, etc.) is something I know how to do well. I’m also an aunt to 15 nieces and nephews, so I’m used to keeping little ones (two- and four-legged) safe, happy, and looked after. My own dog actually came to me when my brother needed to rehome him, so being a compassionate, reliable caretaker is just who I am.
“Malerie and Blake were incredible with our Baker boy!!! We got lots of pictures all week long and could tell he was having the best time and being well loved :) thank you guys so much!”

“Vainy took wonderful care of my elderly Yorkie overnight. She was attentive, patient, and truly loving, which gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her and would absolutely trust her again!”

“Mr Dannell was an amazing sitter. He made sure Remy and I were completely comfortable. His home was clean and felt pet friendly. He sent lots of pictures which helped assure me that my furbaby was being treated very well. I definitely recommend Mr Dannell as an awesome pet sitter.”

“We found a treasure when we asked Kelly and Ben to help watch our dog while we were out of town! They love that she wanted to meet our Daisy before we made the final arrangements. That gave us such peace of mind. Our pup walked into their beautiful home, and she instantly felt comfortable. Their home is warm and gave us a feeling that our dog would be so well loved while we had to be out of town. Kelly also showed how much she cared and how knowledgeable she is by asking all the right questions and loving on Daisy like she was already a part of their family. Communication was terrific too! We received pictures throughout the weekend of Daisy on walks and being her sweet and silly self with Kelly’s family too! We are so happy with the experience that we already scheduled another time out of town - knowing that our Daisy girl will be totally spoiled and cared for while we are gone. Thank you to Kelly and her family for loving our dog like we do!❤️”

“Laura did an AMAZING job with my two kittens! She came in clutch for me last minute, & provided the best care possible. She is somebody I will 100% reccomend & come back to in the future!☺️”

“Erika and her daughter took the greatest of care with my very large dog! They were flexible with pick up and drop off, so very kind and loving in their care and sent pictures and updates daily to this mom that was sad to leave her boy for a a long period. Thank you Erika and Emily!”

Angela couldn’t treat our Great Dane, Lou better. While he’s a great dog he can be a lot, between his size and the drool but Angela is always so kind and willing to take him. He comes home exhausted and obviously very well loved. We’ll keep using her again and again!

Maleah and her son did a wonderful job caring for our dog Sweetie. Sent us updates and pictures once a day. She offered to send us more if we would like but told her once a day would be fine. Sweetie loved playing fetch and having free range with her fenced in yard as she has never had a fenced yard to roam free in. They would be our 1st choice when we need someone to care for her again. Thank you Maleah for caring for her like she was your family.
Isabella and Austin were amazing!! This was our first time ever leaving alfie and I was a little nervous. Isabella made sure to send lots of pictures, tell me how he was, and I so appreciated her thoughtfulness and communication. Alfie had the best time with their pup Kona too! We will definitely be using them again!

Kristy was a godsend and helped us whilst we were on vacation out of the country and needed to find a new home for our dog. Our dog was happy with her and so we were able to enjoy our vacation too. We picked him up happy! Thank you so much Kristy, definitely will be using her help again!
Lauren did such an AMAZING job with our dog, Molly. Molly took a liking to her immediately and Lauren made her feel right at home. She kept us updated daily with a report and photos. Molly was also super spoiled and loved it! Thank you for showering our sweet girl with love while we were away!! We will definitely book again if we need to!!

Justin was very responsive and kept me updated by sending photos of Mocha during his stay. My puppy has stayed with Justin multiple times, and I have never been disappointed. It’s clear that he and his son genuinely care about the dogs they watch. I highly recommend Justin and his son to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitters.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
