“We LOVE having Danielle take care of our babies! She even left us a Christmas gift including ornaments with the names of both our dogs! She is the sweetest, and we will absolutely use her again! :)”

“Jamie was a real pleasure to work with; she was attentive to our requests, always upbeat and a proverbial workaholic when it came to our boys, Ben and Hemingway! We have no hesitation in recommending her as a skillful absentee pet parent with outstanding communication skills!”

“She came to feed the animals so she can get used to feeding them the week we are gone. I had typed her out how to feed them and she did very good, and since it’s the same with them she will get very used to feeding them. Feel relaxed knowing my babies will be taken care of.”

“I was really to have Ashley as the pet sitter for my cat, Neo. She was very professional while also being warm and caring. I would happily recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind pet sitter!”

“Meghana did such a wonderful job taking care of my cat, Daisy! She is slow to warm up to people but Meghana took it slow to gain her trust. She left very detailed notes and great pictures. Thank you, Meghana!”
“Tracey was wonderful with our pup!! He’s young, energetic, and a little anxious and she knew exactly how to care for him. She evaluated what he needed in the moment and walked him, played with him, and gave him some love. Thank you Tracey so much for your help and we will certainly rebook with you in the future!”

“Bonnie made fast friends with our two cats, one who is usually super shy and hesitant around new people! She took great care of our cats and helped us feel comfortable being away!”

I can’t wait to help you with your pet needs and spend time with your dogs even in this small way :) other info! - I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and makes it easy to fit pet care into my mornings and evenings. Whether you need a walk, a drop-in visit, or help while you’re away, I’ll do my best to work with your schedule. Committed to reliable care and amazing communication when you’re away :) I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. About: I’ve been very grateful to grow up with 4 dogs around me since I was 8. They’ve been my whole world and I’ve loved taking them on walks, bathing them, and playing with them! I’ve gotten to see them grow into senior pups and adjust their care accordingly, and I hope I can take my experience to treat your pups like royalty! I’ve moved up to Columbus to start my college journey early! (Go Bucks!) I’m new to the area so I have plenty of time for your pups on weekdays and weekends! I just have to know when :) I have experience in carefully measuring out meals if your dog has a special diet, an expert at puppy playtime, and can herd them into wherever they need to be left!

About: I have experience taking care of dogs with specific medical issues that need specific medication multiple times a day. I care for older dogs who need more time during walks or shorter walks. I am free in the morning to drop in for a walk and during the day for a quick playtime visit, and in the evening for a feed and evening walk. I can help assist by going to your home and taking your dog out or feeding them where they are most comfortable. When meeting a dog for the first time I always check to see if they’re comfortable with me, as we progress building a positive relationship.
“Erica was so great with my two dogs! She treated them like her own and I could always rely on her to be there when she said she would be. She provides excellent care and I will recommend her to anyone needing help with their pets in the future!”

About: I worked at a kennel for a year growing up and consistently volunteered at animal friends. In Pittsburgh I had a small pet sitting business within my neighborhood. I have taken care of dogs, cats, reptiles, hedgehogs, guinea pigs and birds. I’m between jobs currently so I have a lot of availible time. Would love to go on some walks during the day or explore some parks. Otherwise just spending time with the pet! I would follow all instructions set by the owner for keeping the pet safe in their home, yard or area. My neighborhood is very walkable and there is green space around if that is an option
About: We’ve recently lost our 16 yr old dog we loved and tended to from puppy through senior care. We have both always been dog people and enjoy any chance we get to meet and play with dogs. We are recently retired so we can offer great availability for visits to care for your fur baby! We’re very active and love walking and playing with dogs! We will take great care of your pet and your home. We will double check that doors are locked and any messes are cleaned up. Always happy to bring in mail and packages and respectively tend to your home as needed.
About: I've had dogs my whole life, so being around animals has always come naturally to me. I trained my own dog from 12 weeks old, which taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and understanding each dog's personality. I've also pet sat on and off for several years and genuinely love getting to know every pet I care for. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or just hanging out on the couch, I'm happy to match their routine and make sure they feel comfortable while you're away. I'll care for them like they're my own and keep you updated with plenty of pictures, so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. Currently working part time so pretty flexible schedule. Each week may be slightly different but I will have at least a few hours every single day, and don’t work any nights. I will come to your home to take care of your pet, and follow all instructions given to your specific pet and will shower them with lots of love!

Amy is truly wonderful with your fur babies! In addition to doing all of the required components of a visit, she goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is doing well. The biggest compliment I can give is that my cats are always settled yet spunky when I get home. It's a sign that they feel genuinely safe and cared for!

I was really to have Ashley as the pet sitter for my cat, Neo. She was very professional while also being warm and caring. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Neo was well looked after and comfortable with her. Erica was so great with our kitties while we were away. She had come over to meet them and go over care instructions before we left, so we felt comfortable knowing they were going to be well taken care of. She sent daily pictures and updates, which helped keep us in the loop on how they were doing. One of our kitties had a birthday while we were away and Erica went above and beyond to celebrate her, which meant the world as a pet parent! We will definitely be asking for her help again next time we need help caring for our cats.

Ashley was fantastic with our three older dogs over the long weekend! Taking care of senior pups can be a lot to manage, but she handled everything with incredible patience and professionalism. Her communication was great, and we returned home to happy, well-cared-for dogs. We’re so grateful to have found such a reliable, compassionate sitter and would definitely book Ashley again!

Erin was fantastic with our three older dogs during her drop-in visits this week. Taking care of senior pups requires a certain level of attentiveness, and Erin delivered. She was incredibly punctual, showing up right on time for every single visit, which kept our dogs on their necessary routine. Her communication was prompt and detailed, giving us peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely work with Erin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
