“Danielle did a great job easing my fears being my first time using rover. She was excellent with communication I felt like I was there with them knowing how each drop in visit was going, the pictures I got and overall communication. She was always very attentive and responded always in a fast timely fashion. I couldn’t have been more pleased with her care for my dogs and we will definitely use her again!”

“Bonnie is fantastic ! She has been so great with my puppy Frankie ! He is full of energy and she has been a life saver when I have to work all day. No only does help him continue to learn his commands but she genuinely loves him and I couldn’t ask for a better person to care for Frankie”

About: I’ve been very grateful to grow up with 4 dogs around me since I was 8. They’ve been my whole world and I’ve loved taking them on walks, bathing them, and playing with them! I’ve gotten to see them grow into senior pups and adjust their care accordingly, and I hope I can take my experience to treat your pups like royalty! I’ve moved up to Columbus to start my college journey early! (Go Bucks!) I’m new to the area so I have plenty of time for your pups on weekdays and weekends! I just have to know when :) I have experience in carefully measuring out meals if your dog has a special diet, an expert at puppy playtime, and can herd them into wherever they need to be left!
“Kimberly is awesome - the cats were calm and happy when I came home and when I opened the door they didn’t run away but actually looked disappointed that Kimberly wasn’t standing there Kimberly did a wonderful job as well in cleaning the litter boxes and when I came home after being gone for 3 full days the apartment smelled fresh and absolutely no litter box smell I was notified when the visit started and ended and got pictures- even in the very first pictures both cats looked just surprised not scared Thank you Kimberly for taking care of my cats as I do I will definitely be having you as the cats’ caregiver”

About: I worked at a kennel for a year growing up and consistently volunteered at animal friends. In Pittsburgh I had a small pet sitting business within my neighborhood. I have taken care of dogs, cats, reptiles, hedgehogs, guinea pigs and birds. I’m between jobs currently so I have a lot of availible time. Would love to go on some walks during the day or explore some parks. Otherwise just spending time with the pet! I would follow all instructions set by the owner for keeping the pet safe in their home, yard or area. My neighborhood is very walkable and there is green space around if that is an option
“Meghana provided high quality care to my cats with timely visits and thorough updates. I loved the photos she sent! And I appreciated how communicative she was before and during my trip!”

“Mariya was great! She was communicative and sent pictures throughout her visit with my dog. She also asked additional questions to make sure all needs were met. Thanks so much Mariya!”

“Jeffery is fantastic! He takes excellent care of my two dogs and always gives me peace of mind when they're in his care. He’s reliable, attentive, and clearly loves animals. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

About: Hello! My name is Hannah and I start veterinary technician school in august of 2026 through Columbus State Community College. I am also in the Penn Foster vet assistant program. A little about me when I have free time I do scientific illustrations and volunteer at Ohio Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I have about a year of experience as a kennel technician at two general practice clinics. That position includes cleaning, walking, medicating, bathing, and supervising. I am willing to be pretty flexible with pricing, dates, or specific needs so please just reach out if you need to discuss! Thank you for your time! I will be working part time and in school on Teusday’s starting September 2026. I would be available for drop ins after work or school and staying till relatively late evening or overnight if necessary on weeknights. On most weekend days if I am not volunteering at Ohio Wildlife Rehab I will be available the entire weekend! Currently I am looking for a vet assistant position and I am available full time! Since I will be coming into clients homes I think respect for your space and your animal is key. Pets are like fluffy three year olds and I understand the importance of kindness! Some animals need round the clock care (seniors, puppies, disability) and I more than happy to provide that. I like to learn your animals routines and what makes them tick to keep anxiety down while you are away!

About: I have been petting sitting on my own for several years for friends and neighbors. Word has continued to get out, about how great everyone’s experience was from top to bottom so I thought I’d make a go at it here! I am a PATH certified CTRI working with equines and vulnerable populations. I currently train and handle our horse herd there and am a very confident and gentle equestrian, but firm when needed. This translates well to pet sitting often as animals have a way of knowing who they can trust and I’m patient enough to give them the space to figure that out. I currently work part time for a non-profit working w horses and vulnerable populations. I am a riding instructor and photography coordinator. It’s a dream job w a lot Of flexibility currently for me to add in side work I do not currently offer services in my home but have cared for animals in others homes. I understand how important it is to read body language and respect others space and time
About: I have lived with and cared for both cats and dogs my entire life! Caring for animals is something I take seriously, and I always make sure they feel at home. It is my privilege to give your pets a safe, fun, and stress free experience when you can’t be with them. I balance a full time role with flexible availability to give your pets consistent, loving care during the week. I also have open availability on the weekends. I provide hands on, attentive care whether pets are in my home or theirs. I stick to their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved by giving them consistent attention, keeping their environment clean, and treating them like my own pets

Ashley was fantastic with our three older dogs over the long weekend! Taking care of senior pups can be a lot to manage, but she handled everything with incredible patience and professionalism. Her communication was great, and we returned home to happy, well-cared-for dogs. We’re so grateful to have found such a reliable, compassionate sitter and would definitely book Ashley again!

Erin was fantastic with our three older dogs during her drop-in visits this week. Taking care of senior pups requires a certain level of attentiveness, and Erin delivered. She was incredibly punctual, showing up right on time for every single visit, which kept our dogs on their necessary routine. Her communication was prompt and detailed, giving us peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely work with Erin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
