“Abby was really kind and great all-around! She was very responsive and sent lots of pics and updates about our cat while we were away. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for someone to take care of your pet!”

“Leann is amazing and attentive, and takes such good care of our cat! This time she helped us over a holiday week, and I was so happy she was available again. Feel free to review my previous glowing review :) I felt bad that we had ants taking over the food bowls on her first morning here, but she came up with a plan and saved the day(s)! Our cat loves her and all the extra head scritches he gets when she’s here. Thanks again, I appreciate both the pet care and the heads up and vigilance with the house stuff when we are away”

“Vanessa did a great job taking care of my cat Lucy while I was away for a few days. I appreciated the pictures she sent during her visits. I would recommend her to other pet parents.”

“Taylor was prompt in her replies, even when I did a last minute booking! She was great with the kiddos, they were taken care of very well. My dog Vali got nice walks and lots of pets. Taco, my cat definitely appreciated the timely meals 😆, churu treats ☺️ and play time. Definitely will continue with her for future bookings.”

“Madison stopped by to let our dogs out and feed them. She’s watched them in the past and the dogs always enjoy her. She’s also always very communicative and sends plenty of photos of our pups when she’s with them!”

“Emma was wonderful! Easy to communicate with and prompt for each visit. Our dog loved having her come by to let him out and hang with him! Would absolutely book again!”

“Anna was very caring and attentive! Excellent communication and a multitude of daily pictures to show me how happy and safe my kitty was. Definitely will book again!”

“Maggie was excellent with my cat who can be a bit shy with new people. Quick, clear communication. Will definitely have Maggie care for my girl again! :)”

“Super responsive, follows all instructions, does meet and greets, addresses any concerns and tailors care to dog’s needs. Super flexible as well. Thank you for taking care of Doug!”

About: Caring for pets has always been my second nature, and have been surrounded by animals my whole life. I graduated with bachelors degrees from Colorado State University in Equine and Animal Science. While in college I worked at a vet clinic as a technician. After going back to school for my nursing degree, I am now a PICU nurse that loves spending time with animals outside of work. I work at a children’s hospital where I work 3 days a week. On my days off I have the entire day to provide care for pets of all sizes. I am experienced and knowledgeable in pet health and have experience caring for pets with various health conditions. I have three animals of my own ( a dog and two cats).
“Molly went above and beyond to help care for my dog. I would book her again in a heartbeat! I could tell my dog was in good and caring hands, and that is priceless!”
“With having a skittish cat, Kelly goes above and beyond to make my kitty feel comfortable. Luna does not run and hide and actually hangs out- indicating Kelly’s patience and devotion to making pets feel safe and comfortable. I will always try to book Kelly and suggest you all do the same!”

“Rachel has watched my active, social cat twice now. I think both bookings were rather last minute and I appreciate how flexible and communicative she is. But more importantly, my cat loves her! He is more relaxed and less anxious when I return than when I've have other sitters watch him in the past. Highly reccommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grandview Heights
Emma did great! Jackson can be a tough hang sometimes, but she seemed unfazed by him. Left very detailed reports with photos of the walks and his "exports" and behavior. Also, this was a last-minute booking where we weren't able to meet beforehand, but she jumped right into it with no issues. Would definitely book her again.

I’ve booked with Allie twice now and have had a great experience both times! She takes good care of Dory and always sends plenty of photos and updates while I’m away. She’s reliable, easy to communicate with, and I always feel good knowing Dory is in good hands. I’ll definitely continue booking with her.

Alyssa did a wonderful job checking in on our two kitties during a long weekend break. She made sure they had food, water, and playtime. Even our skittish cat, who usually hides around strangers, stayed out and let her pet and interact with him. We were amazed! 10/10 would recommend.

This was our second time using Julia, and we had another great experience! She is reliable, follows our dog’s routine closely, and makes it easy for us to feel comfortable knowing he’s well cared for while we’re away. We’ll definitely continue using her!

Butterscotch was in great hands this weekend! She was shy at first, but by the end was coming out right away to greet Siobhan — that says everything about how comfortable and cared for she felt. Siobhan also sent tons of photo updates throughout the stay, which made it so easy to relax and enjoy the trip. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
