About: I have had pets my whole life, including dogs and horses. I currently own two dogs and one horse. I have trained 3 dogs, and I have also spent tons of time around cats even though I have never owned one. I have a passion for animals and making sure they are properly loved and cared for to ensure they get as much happiness in their lives as they give us, and I would love to give your pet that little extra bit of care that you are searching for! I am home from college for the summer, so I have a very free schedule to ensure your pet gets all the care they need! I am available pretty much 24/7. I do everything in my power to ensure pets are happy and comfortable, so whatever that may look like for your pet I am happy to accommodate, whether this means they need walked, played with, fed, crated, attention, medications, etc.. I have tons of experience with different pet needs and am happy to meet accommodations that make your pet happiest!
About: Hi, My name is Djamila! I love being able to hang out with dogs! I have volunteered through the Humane Society for many years, worked at horse barns, and have been dog walking and sitting for over 10 years. I am energetic, and love to mix up the walks for your dog. I have also worked at vets offices as an assistant. I understand the importance of a responsible and caring person being around your fur baby, and I want to be that person! I can't wait to meet your dog! Also I have taken care of our two dogs and five cats since I was a kid. I love pets and consider them family members. My family relies on me, and my neighbors appreciate how I take care of their pets, too." "I work part-time and I’m available in the mornings before 12 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, so I will have plenty of time to walk and play with your pups!" I live in a safe neighborhood in nice apartment that makes your pet feel at home and safe! They will enjoy it and have so much fun together!

“Arabella is amazing! She took up a last minute job to check in on my cat for over five days, administering his oral medication as well as general care tasks. I recieved lots of updates and great pictures of him along the way, and she was very professional and respectful of my home. My cat adores her and your pets will, too!”

“I highly recommend Kelly. She took great care of my cat, feeding him with clean dishes everyday and scooping his litter box. Because he is a hider and required no play time, she did not mind watering the plants on my small patio. She reported signs he was okay on every visit. I will definitely be using her again.”

“Madison was amazing! She left descriptive and detailed notes on every single drop-in, and took pictures of my furbabies the entire time. I felt incredibly comfortable with leaving them alone with her for 4 days. She is quick to respond and I was relieved of all anxiety I had while I was gone. I highly recommend Madison, and will definitely be using her again when she is available!”

“This was our second time booking with Heather! She is very responsive and sends great pictures with funny commentary :) She always asks if she is unsure about something. We will be booking with her again in the future!”

About: I’ve been walking my two dogs around downtown for more than 5 years—we know all the best spots! I nursed one of my dogs during surgical recovery and both are technically geriatric at this point, so I have experience with dogs of nearly all ages. Would love to get to know your fur babies! I work remotely downtown so my schedule is fairly flexible. Some days I have no meetings at all! Even when I do, they are few and far between. I generally tend to stay local to Downtown when I’m not working too. Plenty of walks and playtime, always making sure to keep an eye on them so they stay out of trouble. My dogs love to snuggle so we often curl up on the couch with a good show or movie!

About: I have a 10 month old kitten at home that I take care of. I also watch my aunt and uncles 3 large dogs often when they are out of town. I am in graduate school and work at a restaurant in the evenings on weekends. I am free mostly every night and can make accommodations during the day. I am happy to come to your home to accompany your animal. I love quality time playing with puppy’s and kittens. I am an exerciser so walking/running with your dogs will be a blast!

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mom was uncomfortable around animals, so she encouraged me to help neighbors care for theirs. What started as a way to spend time with animals eventually grew into a pet-care business that I've continued for more than six years. Over the years, I've provided dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, house sitting, and cat care for 20–50 pets. I've worked with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, anxious dogs, multi-dog households, and pets with special care routines. I'm comfortable administering oral medications using pill pockets, maintaining feeding schedules, handling accidents, and providing consistent exercise and companionship. As an Ohio State student-athlete and Morrill Scholar, I take pride in being dependable, responsible, and communicative. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. As a student-athlete at Ohio State, I maintain a structured and consistent schedule. I have swim practice in the mornings, but outside of practice I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and overnight care. Since my schedule is predictable, I plan my day around the pets I'm caring for and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I prioritize maintaining each pet's normal routine and following all owner instructions carefully so they feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. I make sure pets receive regular exercise, potty breaks, fresh water, meals, and plenty of attention.
“Joey was polite, professional, and communicated well. He took care of both of my cats and provided valuable peace of mind while I was out of town. I would definitely book his services again.”

“Mary took great care of our golden retriever Beau! She took him on a long walk and spoiled him while we were gone for the day! She sent pictures and updates and we will definitely book with her again in the future! Thank you Mary!”

About: Hi! My name is Sabrina and I’m going to be a second year optometry student at The Ohio State University! My first job at 13 was taking care of my next door neighbor’s dog. She loved me so much that she referred me to a few other people within the neighborhood. They relied on me to walk, feed, give medications, among other responsibilities. I never had the opportunity to have my own furry friend, so I loved dedicating my time to helping others with theirs :) I’m a first year optometry student looking for an easy and fun way to make some extra money! I’m currently in my last summer between first and second year so I’m available most of the time! I love pets and love being active, so walking dogs definitely is within my ballpark (no pun intended). If your pet loves to have someone keeping them company I’m the same way!

About: Hey there! I’m a 22 year-old, incoming medical student at OSU who has absolutely loved dogs my entire life. I have the cutest mini goldendoodle at home (shoutout Cooper) and have taken care of him for five and a half awesome years! I also used to live with a golden retriever puppy for two years during college and adored taking her on walks/looking after her when my roommate was out of town:) I’m currently taking a break before school starts up in August so I will have plenty of time to keep your pets company! I will also continue my services during the school year primarily on weekends and a couple weekdays, depending on my exam schedule. My dog (Cooper) likes the indoors, so I mostly keep him inside. However, I am extremely comfortable with keeping pets company outside if they are fenced in! I also take Cooper on long walks in the mornings and evenings plus a shorter walk in the middle of the day! I would be happy to do the same with your pups or walk your pets according to the schedule you already have in place for them.
About: I’ve loved and cared for my personal dogs my whole life. My family and friends rely and trust me to provide all the needs for their pets. My schedule is very flexible. Reach out to me and we can definitely try to make something work for the both of us and make sure your pet is fully taken care of! I am very understanding that each pet is different. I will always maintain the way they are used to living to the best of my ability. I have an open grass field behind my complex.
About: I have two dogs of my own, have fostered several dogs before, and love interacting with dogs and cats! Friends are able to rely on me to check in on their pets, walk them, feed them, and I keep the pet parents updated on their pets. I work 3 days a week and my off days change each week. My off days are pretty open and I can be flexible with them! I do live in an apartment with my two dogs, so I cannot offer in home pet care. However I can check in on your pets, spend time with them, feed them etc

Lauren took great care of our golden retriever Beau while we were gone for the day! Lauren was very friendly, caring, had great communication, and provided updates and photos! Beau was very happy, and we will definitely book with Lauren again in the future!

Taylor was absolutely fantastic while caring for my dogs, Mango and Mars. From the moment she arrived, it was clear how comfortable and happy they felt around her. She handled their different personalities with ease—Mango’s playful energy and Mars’s more relaxed vibe—and made sure each of them got exactly the kind of attention they needed. Taylor kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. I could tell she wasn’t just “watching” them; she was genuinely engaged, patient, and caring. When I returned, both dogs were calm, content, and clearly well‑loved. I highly recommend Taylor to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and truly wonderful dog sitter. Mango and Mars adore her, and so do I.

Olivia is super cool and will be our go-to for future dog sitting. She did a great job at documenting her time spent with our dog. The documentation enhanced the quality of our vacation because we knew our dog was being taken care of, and we didn’t have to worry at all. 10/10 😎

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
