“Thea is fabulous! You can tell she really cares for your furry companions. On top of that she is an extremely good communicator and takes the time to follow special instructions. I love the pictures and videos she sends. I also feel very comfortable leaving knowing my little love and my home are in good hands. Thank you Thea…you’re the best!”

“Ioana was, once again, an excellent sitter for my cat! She came through for me covering last-minute schedule changes which was a life saver. I also appreciate that when she made a scheduling error, she let me know right away and made up for the mistake. I feel comfortable having such a trustworthy and responsive sitter there while I’m traveling!”

“Abby was kind enough to let me book her last minute. She was friendly, considerate, and so good with my cat Tobi. She updated each visit with photos and made me feel at ease that Tobi is in good hands. I will definitely book her again in the future! Highly recommend Abby”

“Communicates well, warmed to my cats easily, sent great photos, managed mail and packages without any hitches. Would definitely have her back!”

“Sadie-Jean went above and beyond with checking in on my cat while I was out of town - she had consistent communication, was very proactive in reaching out and making sure she knew where all of my cats things were, gave him a great play session and treats, and was so sweet throughout the whole process! This was my first time using Rover, and I couldn’t have picked a better person to check in on James. I know that he had a better time because of her visit, and it was great peace of mind to know that such a reliable person would be there to give him a little love.”

About: I've cared for pets (dogs, cats, goats, chickens) since I was 8-years-old. Friends and family know they can always rely on me give their animals the care and attention they need. I have experience providing medication (oral, shots) to senior pets, as well as those with complex health needs. I have a flexible schedule with minimal work during the summer months, which leaves me available with lots of time to care for your furry friend. I can tailor my schedule around your needs and their preferences. I have two pet-loving kiddos who are happy to play with animals and who also know how to give them some space if they'd prefer it. Our front yard is unfenced, but we have a very walkable neighborhood with green space to allow sufficient outdoor time. We can provide flexible care in our home depending on what your animal needs.
“Anna was great! She was very communicative and was able to help our anxious kitties eat while we were away & was great at giving medicine. She made sure to keep us updated and sent lots of pictures and also took time to play/give pets! We would definitely book again.”

“I can't reccomend Taylor enough! She took such good care of my cats and lizard while we were on vacation for a week. We have a very shy and standoffish cat and it was clear to me that Taylor made them all feel so safe and comfortable based on how willing the cats were to let her snap pics of them every day - shes a great photographer too! Great communication, punctual, flexible (thank you again for feeding and keeping an eye on our bearded dragon!), and just all around a wonderful sitter who we will absolutely be booking with again. I would trust her in my home and with my pets any day. Thank you Taylor!”

“I highly recommend Kelly. She took great care of my cat, feeding him with clean dishes everyday and scooping his litter box. Because he is a hider and required no play time, she did not mind watering the plants on my small patio. She reported signs he was okay on every visit. I will definitely be using her again.”

“Elizabeth is wonderful! She went far and beyond when my cat Tigger was sick. She took excellent care of him. Even water my plants while I was on vacation. Highly recommend her for cat or house sitter.”

“Emma was amazing with my cat, Toast! She was communicative, reliable, and even stayed extra some nights to give him more cuddles and attention. I felt completely comfortable trusting her with my home and pet, and I'd definitely recommend her to others.”

“Cindy was amazing and went above and beyond for my girl! When my dog was sick during the days she was dropping in on her, Cindy went out of her way to check in on her a second time just to make sure she was safe. I 100% trust and recommend Cindy!!”
“Joey was polite, professional, and communicated well. He took care of both of my cats and provided valuable peace of mind while I was out of town. I would definitely book his services again.”

“Sally took great care of our cat, Honey, while we were away. Honey was so happy and relaxed when we got home, and it made our time away so much easier getting the happy pictures of her playing and having fun with Sally!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Grandview Heights
Alex D. was the perfect cat sitter for our 7 year old Ellie. With this being our first time to use Rover, we were not sure what to expect, but Alex definitely reassured us. She kept us informed through photos and correspondence, and it was wonderful to see that our shy Ellie totally trusted Alex and willingly greeted her each day and let her pet her. We highly recommend Alex and so appreciate her care and understanding of cats.

With having a skittish cat, Kelly goes above and beyond to make my kitty feel comfortable. Luna does not run and hide and actually hangs out- indicating Kelly’s patience and devotion to making pets feel safe and comfortable. I will always try to book Kelly and suggest you all do the same!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grandview Heights. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
