“Leann was super friendly and followed all instructions! She is very familiar with cats and her knowledge about their care is comforting. Thank you!”

“Taylor was absolutely fantastic while caring for my dogs, Mango and Mars. From the moment she arrived, it was clear how comfortable and happy they felt around her. She handled their different personalities with ease—Mango’s playful energy and Mars’s more relaxed vibe—and made sure each of them got exactly the kind of attention they needed. Taylor kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. I could tell she wasn’t just “watching” them; she was genuinely engaged, patient, and caring. When I returned, both dogs were calm, content, and clearly well‑loved. I highly recommend Taylor to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and truly wonderful dog sitter. Mango and Mars adore her, and so do I.”

“Ioana not only accepted my booking very last minute, but took the BEST care of my babies! Some scheduling issues with evening care resulted in lack of litter clean up, which Ioana promptly addressed and took care of without being a part of original care plan. Great communication, highly attentive, would recommend to anyone!!”

“I am really sad that I can only give Chase five stars. She was wonderful. Polite, prompt and very reliable. She treated my dog, Cooper, like he was her own. I loved receiving updates while I was gone knowing he was getting the attention, care and love he deserves. Chase was quick to ask questions and responds to text and email in a very timely fashion. If you hadn't booked with Chase yet - you need to!”

“Abby was kind enough to let me book her last minute. She was friendly, considerate, and so good with my cat Tobi. She updated each visit with photos and made me feel at ease that Tobi is in good hands. I will definitely book her again in the future! Highly recommend Abby”

“Jessica is trustworthy and double checked details. My dogs were happy, well fed, and tired out from good walks - exactly what I was hoping to come home to!”
“Heather is wonderful! She sent lots of pictures and kept me updated on how our kitty was doing while we were away. Her response time is quick and professional. Severus can’t wait to see her again next weekend. Thank you Heather!”

“We will definitely have Victoria watch our cat again! We were gone for 10 days, and she went above and beyond in caring for our kitty, sending us updates, communicating, etc.”
“Brooke was absolutely amazing with our babies! We were scared to leave them with someone that wasn't family or a friend but she eased those scares! She sent plenty of pics & always made sure to ask before giving something to the pups or doing walks with them ! We will definitely book her again in the future!!!! Thanks for being such a sweet soul to our babies! 😊”

“Taylor was prompt in her replies, even when I did a last minute booking! She was great with the kiddos, they were taken care of very well. My dog Vali got nice walks and lots of pets. Taco, my cat definitely appreciated the timely meals 😆, churu treats ☺️ and play time. Definitely will continue with her for future bookings.”

“Vanessa did a great job taking care of my cat Lucy while I was away for a few days. I appreciated the pictures she sent during her visits. I would recommend her to other pet parents.”

“My kitties had great visits with Merri! I contacted her with very short notice but everything worked out smoothly and wonderfully. I will definitely contact her again in the future and recommend her to anyone with four-footers - both cats (I have four) and dogs!”

About: Hi! I’m Tracy — a lifelong animal lover with a Masters and PhD in environmental policy from The Ohio State University. My background reflects how deeply I care about the well-being of all creatures, great and small. Caring for pets isn’t a side gig for me; it’s something that’s been part of my life since childhood. I grew up with three wonderful dogs of various sizes, and as an adult I’ve had a large dog of my own, two small dogs, and a cat. One of my pups was adopted from a shelter, two came to me from foster parents, and my cat was a stray who chose our home — so I’m very comfortable with pets who have unique personalities, histories, or special needs. I’m gentle, patient, and very responsible. Whether your pet needs a long walk, calm companionship, or lots of playtime, I tailor my care to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. You can expect great communication, attention to detail, and a genuine love for your furry family member. I would be honored to earn your trust and care for your pets like they’re my own. 💛🐶🐾 I'm currently a home-maker, so I have a very flexible schedule to take care of your pet's needs. I have openings 7 days a week, mornings, afternoons and evenings. I prefer to come to your home to tend to your pet. I do have a fenced in yard for my dogs, but my terrier mix can be a little bossy. I'm always open to having your pet meet my terrier though if you'd like your fur baby to stay for a visit at our house.
“Elizabeth was very patient with my cat. She also helped a lot with watering the plants and making sure all was smooth in my houses. A kind and thoughtful person too.”

“Maggie was excellent with my cat who can be a bit shy with new people. Quick, clear communication. Will definitely have Maggie care for my girl again! :)”

“Kristen took amazing care of Mr. Scooter! She was very communicative, went out of her way to meet him before the scheduled visit to go over his care, and kept my kitty very happy!! She sent daily updates with pictures and I am very appreciative of her help. Will definitely rebook Kristen if I go out of town again!”

“Paige was a fantastic sitter. She watched my dog over Christmas and made sure he was safe during the snow storm. Paige went above and beyond to make sure he was okay and the house was protected from the cold spell. I will be asking her to watch Sal again!”

Estefani was incredible and very responsive. I booked last minute for my cat who I had never left alone overnight, and was worried she would be upset. My cat was rude and didn’t even care that I was gone! I got pictures of her playing and cuddling and texts asking clarifying questions when necessary. Looking forward to rebooking without guilt that my cat is sad without me.

Sydney was an excellent cat sitter and Crackers loved her. She normally doesn’t play with cat sitters or come to greet them at the door. She hides from them. Not from Sydney! She took such great care of my spoiled geriatric sassy girl. She also swept the floor by the litter boxes before she left, so I came home to a clean house. I will definitely book with her again!

Kristen took amazing care of Mr. Scooter! She was very communicative, went out of her way to meet him before the scheduled visit to go over his care, and kept my kitty very happy!! Elizabeth was fantastic! She was punctual, kept us informed, was quick to respond, and our cats absolutely adored her. Before we left, we were still figuring out our cats' preferences for new food, but when we returned, we discovered that Elizabeth had successfully transitioned them to the new diet! She's a great animal caretaker and we would love to book her again in the future!!

Lauren was wonderful to my kitties and took great care and update pictures that put my worry at ease while I was away. Highly recommend her!!! She even left a little card and some chocolates which was the sweetest surprise to see upon returning. She is highly responsive and responsible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Columbus. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
