“Thea was extremely kind, professional and a pleasure to work with. My wife and I were nervous about using Rover at first. Thea definitely made us both feel secure that our pup (and our home) were in good hands. She was detailed and communicative. I appreciated the photos and updates. Highly recommend. Thank you Thea!”

“Taylor has been very helpful. She has come and walked our very energetic dog on a weekly basis and I have had 0 difficulties getting ahold of her or getting feedback about how everything went. She is very sweet and a great choice for your pet!”

“Isabel was very flexible. My address was in rover incorrectly and she made the effort to still complete the walk with my dog. Not to mention she also grabbed our package from our old apartment. She went above and beyond.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for the past decade of my life! My family currently owns 2 dogs and 4 cats! I have taken primary care of our pets and have pet sat for family members and close friends when they’ve gone out of town. I have years of experience with taking care of both cats and dogs. I am a student at The Ohio State University and have classes in the middle of my days! I am free mornings, late afternoons, and evenings. I care for pets by respecting the information from the owners, being patient, and understanding pets body language. I will ensure that your pet is well taken care of and content! I promise put the pets’ needs first and focus on being the best caretaker I can!
“Morgan is excellent and she does a great job with Pablo! Her communication is excellent, and she is always on time and very friendly with Pablo. I highly recommend her.”

About: PLEASE NOTE: I am moving out of state following the week of the 4th. I grew up with 2 medium sized springer spaniels and have had multiple cats my whole life. I love getting outside and being active but also have experience cat/dog/house sitting for multiple week periods. I am currently on the job hunt for a full time role, so my schedule is open and flexible for your needs and expectations. I enjoy being active as well, so that is something I work into my schedule daily. I currently have a 10 month old kitten, I always clean his water bowl each day and ensure his food bowl is always filled (he isn’t incentivized by food quite yet! Haha). He has a robo litter box that I maintain as well.
“Cannot rave over JoVonna enough 🤍 so thankful for her bright spirit and love for our doggos! She helped us out in a pinch and is such a wonderful addition to our care team.”

About: I grew up in a family with three dogs of our own, so caring for animals has always been a natural and joyful part of my life. I’ve been pet sitting since I was young and truly love getting to know each pet’s unique personality, routines, and little quirks. What sets me apart is the genuine care and patience I bring to every visit — I treat every pet like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. As a medical student on clinical rotations, my schedule varies week to week, which actually allows me flexibility to dedicate meaningful time to pet care. My weekends are consistently open, making me available for longer visits, walks, or overnight care. During the week, my availability depends on my specific rotation, but I plan ahead carefully and only accept bookings when I know I can give pets the time, attention, and consistency they deserve. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine feeling as normal, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. I know how much pets thrive on familiarity, so I take time to learn their schedules, favorite activities, and little comforts that help them feel secure while you’re away. I’m attentive to leash safety, feeding instructions, medications, and home security, and I always respect your space as if it were my own.
“I highly recommend Rachel! I have an older dog who doesn't warm up easily to new people. Rachel was patient and kind with my senior dog. I greatly appreciate her approach with my dog. She kept me informed and was responsive, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience in working with her!”

“Fantastic! I shared with Tracy that my dog gets very anxious when new people come to the house. She was very understanding and agreed to meet outside the house and go on a walk for our Meet and Greet. My dog felt very comfortable with Tracy and had no problems when Tracy walked her by herself the next time. I am extremely happy.”

“Vanessa has been our dog walker for almost a year. She is professional, communicate & make sure your energetic pup gets the exercise he needs! I very highly recommend Vanessa for any of your pets needs!”

“Victoria has been amazing! We have booked with her several times and my dog genuinely loves her which is saying a lot since he is very particular when it comes to people!”

About: I’m currently a graduate student at The Ohio State University, and alongside my academic work, caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. I’ve owned and cared for a variety of dogs of many different breeds and sizes. Growing up and into adulthood, I’ve gained hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding schedules, and playtime. I understand how important it is to maintain your dog’s routine and make them feel comfortable while you’re away. As both a responsible graduate student and a lifelong dog owner, I bring reliability, organization, and genuine care to every visit. My goal is too make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for, and to give you peace of mind while you’re away! As a graduate student at The Ohio State University, I’m only in class for a portion of the day Monday through Thursday, which gives me consistent flexibility throughout the week. Outside of class, my schedule is structured but open, allowing me to plan pet care visits, walks, and check-ins reliably. Because my academic commitments are predictable, I’m able to maintain a steady routine and dedicate focused time to each dog I care for. Whether it’s midday walks, morning or evening visits, I have availability throughout the week and can provide dependable, attentive care. When caring for pets in other homes, I prioritize keeping their routine as normal and consistent as possible. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walk times, medications, and any specific preferences your pet may have. My goal is to make them feel safe and comfortable in their own environment.

Thea was lovely to meet and did a great job with my goldendoodle Bella. She came highly recommended and for good reasons — she was prompt and very responsive when I had to switch an aspect of my dogs care last minute. Would happily have her visit my home to walk Bella again :)

Laila was an exceptional dog sitter for us! She has great communication and is so thorough about understanding our dog’s needs and routines. She followed all instructions very precisely, and even administered our dog’s insulin after each meal. Her write-ups and photos were so detailed and you can tell how much she cares! Thank you Laila!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
