“Taylor has been very helpful. She has come and walked our very energetic dog on a weekly basis and I have had 0 difficulties getting ahold of her or getting feedback about how everything went. She is very sweet and a great choice for your pet!”

“Sean is very communicative about his schedule and any changes. He also always gives me a wonderful rover card so I know exactly what happened on the walk! Mila loves Sean!”

“Thea was great with our two pups! She communicated really well and was super prompt. Would totally recommend her / rebook her again for future walks.”

“Isabel was very flexible. My address was in rover incorrectly and she made the effort to still complete the walk with my dog. Not to mention she also grabbed our package from our old apartment. She went above and beyond.”

“Camryn has been amazing for this first 3 weeks. She scheduled a consultation on short notice, and has been great with timing, communication, and most importantly, care of our dog. We’ll be hiring her for a long time!”

About: Over the course of my childhood, my family and I never had less than 2 dogs at a time. I have dog sat a handful of times, both for multiple nights or just fun play dates! I offer gentle, loving, and smiley fun for your awesome dog! I want you and your dog(s) to feel confident that I am a safe, kind choice! I am pursuing my doctorate’s in Occupational Therapy at OSU! I am free Friday and Saturday, with occasional class requirements. These are great days for me to care for your dog! While I won’t be offering services at my apartment, I believe in safety, love, and respect for you and your pets while I care for them. It can be scary trusting your dog with someone new, but by growing up with many dogs myself I can assure you that I embody those beliefs in my care.
“JoVonna has been caring for my pup for several months now and she ALWAYS exceeds expectations. She is so loved by my dog, and by me! For her caring nature, attentiveness, professionalism, etc. JoVonna is just amazing.”

“Morgan is excellent and she does a great job with Pablo! Her communication is excellent, and she is always on time and very friendly with Pablo. I highly recommend her.”

About: 10 years professional experience in animal care; 7 years as a vet assistant, other experience as a zookeeper, lab animal tech, and in an animal shelter I work part time and go to school; available during the day and evenings mostly. I work part time Fridays and Saturdays. My days with your pet will focus on their safety and comfort. We will have fun if they want to go out, or hang out indoors if they are nervous. :) I live in an apartment in a quiet neighborhood with no roomates. No other pets in the home. Neighbors with indoor dogs and fenced yards. Willing to restrict "walks" to my courtyard or walk pets one at a time if that is your preference.
“Jennifer was really assuring through the process of using rover for the first time! She provided a lot of pictures and details and did things I forgot to ask for, like refilling my dog’s water bowl. I felt really comfortable with her walking my dog and am happy knowing he got some extra care and attention!”

About: I grew up in a small, rural, community in Vermont. The common practice was to just have the neighborhood kids do everything: alter serving at the local church, babysitting the kids, and petsitting when people went out of town. In my neighborhood, spread out over fields and forests, I became the default petsitter. I've been watching dogs and cats since middle-school and have enjoyed spending time with pets because my parents wouldn't let us adopt a cat until I was in high school. Now, as an adult I'm always the go-to friend for petsitting when people go out of town. I'm looking forward to meeting your pet!! I'm a graduate student writing her dissertation. My time is super flexible (available every day of the week, early morning until early evening) and I'm looking to visit pets to lower my blood pressure, provide structure to my life, and make your life easier in the process. I'm also a runner, so I see it as a fun challenge to make pet stops part of my daily exercise routine. As a graduate student I am really detail oriented and am good at following directions, including those you leave about proper care for your pet and your home.
About: I grew up with dogs and currently have two cats that I treat like my own children! I’ve done petsitting for years for both cats and dogs of various breeds. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with their pets, having me feed them, walk their dogs, spend time with their cats, and keep litter boxes tidy. I work full-time and have a hybrid schedule, so I have flexibility on days I work from home and weekends. I can spend the day at your home or drop in as needed, but due to having pets of my own, can’t always do overnight stays. Since I live in a small apartment with two cats, I can’t bring your pet to stay with me. Instead, I’m more than happy to drop in periodically or spend the day at your home, making sure your pets are happy, fed, and get some social interaction!
About: I’ve been walking my two dogs around downtown for more than 5 years—we know all the best spots! I nursed one of my dogs during surgical recovery and both are technically geriatric at this point, so I have experience with dogs of nearly all ages. Would love to get to know your fur babies! I work remotely downtown so my schedule is fairly flexible. Some days I have no meetings at all! Even when I do, they are few and far between. I generally tend to stay local to Downtown when I’m not working too. Plenty of walks and playtime, always making sure to keep an eye on them so they stay out of trouble. My dogs love to snuggle so we often curl up on the couch with a good show or movie!
About: I have grown up with dogs all of my life anywhere from a German Shepard to a Dachshund. I understand the importance of trusting and depending on those who care for your loved ones (because dogs are a part of the family too). I love long walks around the neighborhood and ensuring each dog is cared for specifically tailored to their needs and owners preference. Would love a dog of my own however living vicariously through my clients and supporting them in their care of their animals is the next best thing! Flexible on the weekends and mornings/evenings during the week. Caring for animals is just as much a stress reliever for me as it is for them and their owners. Can’t wait to help! I am flexible in availability and capacity for the client needs. I can be adaptive contingent on environment, medical and ability considerations of the animal(s). About: I’m a stay at home dog mom myself looking to make some extra money doing something I love! I grew up with golden retrievers and when I moved out at 18, got my first dog Cozy. He is a husky German Shepherd. I have years of experience walking dogs for family friends and know how to properly care for dogs like their family. I am a part time student at Ohio state. My only other obligations are being a wife and taking care of my 16 year step daughter which is flexible! I would care for your pet like their my own, i’m very attentive and I’m open to lots of detailed instruction I would take lots of pictures and just making sure that your best friend is as comfortable as possible.
About: I have taken care of my own dog for eight years now, and I love him more everyday! I have also cared for friends animals, including dogs while they have been away on vacation. That care included, taking them out, feeding, bathing, or just staying in the house with them. I am available after 2 PM on weekdays as I am in college and have classes, I have pretty open availability on Saturdays and Sundays. If I were to come care for a clients dog, I would be able to offer an energetic setting, by playing with the dog, walking, running, whatever that dogs personality requires. I currently am living in Wilmington, North Carolina. I work at a Patient Coordinator from 7:45-5 pm M-TH, and 7:45-2 pm on Friday. After that, I am available anytime! I can care for a clients pet in their home by providing exercise, feeding, and love, that is if the pet likes cuddles! I am unable to take care of animals in my home currently because my apartment doesn’t allow pets, but would love to come to a clients home to provide care!
Italian Village dog parents share their Rover experiences
I highly recommend Rachel! I have an older dog who doesn't warm up easily to new people. Rachel was patient and kind with my senior dog. I greatly appreciate her approach with my dog. She kept me informed and was responsive, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience in working with her!

Laila was an exceptional dog sitter for us! She has great communication and is so thorough about understanding our dog’s needs and routines. She followed all instructions very precisely, and even administered our dog’s insulin after each meal. Her write-ups and photos were so detailed and you can tell how much she cares! Thank you Laila!
