Pet care experience

Happy, Healthy, & Harmonious Pets!

I have been an animal lover 🥰 my whole life, and grew up with many! We always had dogs (big, and small), and cats as well as many other animals including horses, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, snakes, fish, and birds. My Dad is a “retired” (He loves it so much he still travels to clinics.) Veterinarian, and my Mother a Vet Tech. I worked for my Father for many years as an assistant/receptionist at his practice in Dublin. I have volunteered at the Capitol Area Human Society, and the Columbus Zoo with Jack Hanna’s tour animals. I also have experience with older dogs, administering fluids, and providing medications. I lost my little Teacup Chihuahua in May of 2023. 😢 She was the sweetest little angel baby, and taught me so much more about patience, and caring for aging pups. I love getting to know the unique quirks that make pets so special! Being able to spend time with your fur babies truly brings me so much joy! 🥹

Safety, trust & environment

I love being prepared! Always lock doors before and after visits, and make sure harnesses, collars, and leashes are secure before exiting for walks, or outside fun! I am also very cautious about entering a home with kitties present who like to try and escape. I always squeeze one leg in first! 😆 Following the owner’s instructions is also key in making sure the pet/pets are properly cared for during visits. I bring my own poop bags on walks, and appreciate towels, or wipes being handy for cleanup if it’s a little wet outside. As well as making sure pets have enough food/water, potty time, and exercise. Being careful about weather conditions is also important to make sure they do not get too cold in the frigid Winter, or overheated during the Summer months. Overall just making sure they are comfortable, and kept safe while they are in my care! 🙌🏻

Thea is so amazing with my boys!! She’s one of the only reasons I can travel without worrying about my kitties. Thea takes such good care of them and provides awesome updates while you’re away!! I would recommend her to anyone!

We called upon Thea again to come visit Cleo this weekend. We are very satisfied and trust her to look after our cat. ☺️

Having the pet’s schedule is always helpful. I like knowing when they like to potty, walk, eat, and play. I love notes! ? The more the information the better. As well as any habits, quirks, or aggressive behaviors, or triggers. All are extremely important for safety, and comfort. I appreciate honesty when it comes to your pet if they show aggression. Please inform me prior to booking. I prefer to not work with aggressive pets for safety reasons.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
