“Our pup was not in peak form today, leaving a mess and refusing to walk. Tracy was so kind, keeping us in the loop, and going above and beyond to clean up a mess in the home. Will definitely book again!”
About: Hi!🫶🏼 I Would love to help care for your animals in any capacity. I have extensive experience with animals and have worked at a dog boarding kennel in the past in addition to growing up with pets. I have worked with aggressive dogs and am comfortable reading a dog’s cues to prevent escalation. I currently have a Bernese mountain dog who is always down for a play date and a cat who tolerates her antics haha. Bonus- I’m an ER nurse, far from a vet tech, but good for med admin if needed! With that, I do work 3 shifts a week(12 hours) that vary. So while my schedule can be sporadic, it can also be very open! I work full time 3 days a week and use rover sitters myself for those days. My schedule varies, but I am great for last minute needs as long as I’m not working! I try to stick to your pet’s routine and rules! I am also very good at recognizing body language/behaviors and therefore can prevent “incidents” from occurring like aggression on walks. I’m also happy to bring along my Berner for a play date if you’d like!
“Just booked Victoria for a second time after she walked my dog last week! She has been great with her and dealt with complications like accidents and surprise kitty visitors very well. Thanks, Victoria!”

“Thea is absolutely amazing! She gave me such peace of mind and was great with my mini doxie. My pup takes a little bit to warm up to strangers and loves to bark but Thea was so patient and so kind. Only took him one meeting to love her!! She’s very communicative and always sends lots of pictures and videos. She cares a lot about her clients, even put my pups jacket on him to make sure he wouldn’t be too cold without me asking her to do so. I booked 4 straight days for walks last minute and she was able to fit me in no problem. I could not have had a better experience and recommend her to anyone looking! Checks all the boxes and I can’t think of anything she didn’t do well 😊”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats for 25 years. I have owned dogs from goldens to Boston’s and helped take care of dogs of all sizes in between. We currently have two one year old cats, who turned me from tolerable to cats to adoring them in a short period of time. I am currently between jobs and do not have anything interfering with my schedule. I am happy to do drop-ins or stays depending on availability Your pets will be taken care of as if you were home. I will do everything I can to maintain the same routine from breakfast/lunch/dinner times, to walks and playtime.
“Jovanna was great from the minute we met her! She was very confident and professional. She took great care of our dog and we’ll definitely call her again!! Takes great care like your pet is her pet!!”

About: I’ll make sure they get an opportunity to enjoy themselves when you’re not available, and I’ll make sure their needs are met. You book me, you can trust your pet is taken care of. Flexible schedule. Available weekends upon special request. M-F, 9am to 10am, 12pm to 1pm, 4pm to 5pm are only times available as of right now I have a fenced yard, and two crates available. I prefer to understand the animal and client’s normal routine and proactively plan a meet and greet so the animal becomes familiar with me before further interactions.
“Autumn did a great job caring for my two dogs. One of my dogs is elderly and has several medical problems. Autumn was very capable and comfortable with this. I will definitely trust her again in the future with my fur-babies.”

“Taylor has been very helpful. She has come and walked our very energetic dog on a weekly basis and I have had 0 difficulties getting ahold of her or getting feedback about how everything went. She is very sweet and a great choice for your pet!”

“Camryn has been amazing for this first 3 weeks. She scheduled a consultation on short notice, and has been great with timing, communication, and most importantly, care of our dog. We’ll be hiring her for a long time!”

About: I’m currently a graduate student at The Ohio State University, and alongside my academic work, caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. I’ve owned and cared for a variety of dogs of many different breeds and sizes. Growing up and into adulthood, I’ve gained hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding schedules, and playtime. I understand how important it is to maintain your dog’s routine and make them feel comfortable while you’re away. As both a responsible graduate student and a lifelong dog owner, I bring reliability, organization, and genuine care to every visit. My goal is too make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for, and to give you peace of mind while you’re away! As a graduate student at The Ohio State University, I’m only in class for a portion of the day Monday through Thursday, which gives me consistent flexibility throughout the week. I’ve included my class scheduled to be fully transparent about my availability: -Mondays 8am-4pm -Tuesdays 8am-12pm -Thursdays 8am-4pm My Wednesdays will be open until October, and Fri/Sat/Sun are generally wide open! Outside of class, my schedule is structured but open, allowing me to plan pet care visits, walks, and check-ins reliably. When caring for pets in other homes, I prioritize keeping their routine as normal and consistent as possible. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walk times, medications, and any specific preferences your pet may have. My goal is to make them feel safe and comfortable in their own environment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bexley
Brittney did an excellent job walking the dogs while i was traveling. She was communicative and consistent and my dogs loved her and the chance to get some activity in- and I loved the peace of mind knowing my dogs were getting the exercise they needed while I was away! Highly recommend.

Allison and Andrew are absolutely fantastic dog walkers!! They were always on time and happy and ready to walk our excited and energetic mini Bernedoodle Reggie. Reggie loved his walks with them and would stand by the door patiently and a little anxiously every am and pm waiting for his walk with Allison and Andrew ! We were very pleased and will definitely use them again !!!

Karly is THE BEST!!!!! She walks my pup, Fuzzy, every day and takes such good care of her. She has gone above and beyond to help me- Fuz is reactive and takes a good bit to warm up to people, and Karly went out of her way to get to know Fuz, and is amazing at communicating/ returning messages/ reaching out with any questions or concerns. Fuz and I highly HIGHLY recommend!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
