My kitty has IBD, so he has a couple meds he takes daily, and a pretty specific food routine—this used to make me so anxious with work travel, but knowing Emma is there, that Rudy adores her, and that she is so knowledgeable about animals and their behavior has been so reassuring. This past visit, my lil guy decided to do some fast bingeing and vomited—Emma called me right away to let me know and give me the relevant info. About: I have extensive experience in geriatric and special needs care. I've given injections, medicine, eye drops, ect. and I'm not afraid to learn more special care for your pet! I'm currently working from home and am able to care for your pet most of the day. We don't travel much and like doing house work/projects so we are home most of the time. We have a fenced in backyard for your dog to run, play, and potty. We have an assortment of dog rope toys and tennis balls, a variety of treat types, a large dog bed, and an XL dog crate if needed.

About: Being a senior makes me old school, like being exactly on time or a bit early. I subscribe to the Dog Whisperer tenet of being ALPHA and pack leader to dogs in my care. A dog in a pack is a happy dog. I only use positive reinforcement. Ex.: dog pulling on the leash can be fixed by changing directions every 4 steps to the left, walking in a square, this encourages the dog to slow down and watch his human. Dog hair is a welcome addition to a life well lived, that's why my dogs get furniture and bed privileges. One fact about my dogs i pay attention to is how many sips of water they take. On a very hot day I've seen 30-40. This helps me know easily how my pet is feeling so I can react accordingly. Maybe time to put the soft Frisbee away! I'm fully retired, and rise early, so morning walks are easy. Breakfast is next, and 1hr later another walk outside. I like to prep a bag to take to the park. My fav is Schiller Park in German Village. I don't own a pet currently, I've had some health issues that are now resolved. Having been an owner twice in my life has given me many many experiences so I am flexible.
