About: I’ve been watching animals since I was little. My love for them is unmatched. I will treat your animal like they are my very own! This would be my only job so I am very flexible with what days and times I am available! I have 3 cats so taking care of them and making sure they are happy are very important to me! I do live in an apartment building but I assure you I will take excellent care of your pets! I have 3 amazing kitties at home that are so friendly and loving!
“Very friendly, readily available, and great communicators. I felt like my pet was happy and safe in their care and comfortable with them in our home. They even brought in a package for us from our doorstep. Great pet-sitters and we will definitely book with them again in the future!”
“My kitties had great visits with Merri! I contacted her with very short notice but everything worked out smoothly and wonderfully. I will definitely contact her again in the future and recommend her to anyone with four-footers - both cats (I have four) and dogs!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for many years and currently have two dogs of my own experience-wise, including raising one from a puppy. My first dog was a rescue who was a beloved member of my family until she passed away in 2024, which taught me a lot about patience, routine care, and caring for a dog through all stages of life. I also have a senior dog who is 12 years old, so I’m familiar with the extra attention and care older pets sometimes need. While I haven’t owned a cat myself, I’ve spent time around cats while visiting friends and family and am comfortable caring for both dogs and cats. I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. Pet care is already a consistent part of my daily routine since I have dogs of my own. Each day I’m used to feeding, walking, playing with, and checking in on them, so caring for animals fits naturally into my schedule. Because I work part-time as a swim instructor in the mornings and have lighter hours outside of that, I have plenty of flexibility during the day and evening to care for other pets. On a weekly basis, I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and parts of the weekend, and I’m comfortable adjusting my schedule to meet a pet’s needs and routine. Safety and trust are very important to me when caring for pets. In my own home, I care for my dogs by keeping a clean, calm, and safe environment. I make sure they always have fresh water, proper feeding schedules, and regular exercise. I’m attentive to their behavior and needs, and I prioritize keeping them comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client’s home through drop-ins or walks, I respect each pet’s routine and follow all instructions carefully. I always make sure doors are secure, pets are safe before leaving, and I provide updates so owners feel confident and informed while they’re away.
“JoVonna has been awesome! She’s always quick to communicate with us and is so sweet to our doggies! Would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter! ❤️”

About: At 21, I’ve spent over seven years with my black lab, learning the ins and outs of responsible, loving pet care. For the past two years, I’ve also cared for two cavapoos, a blue healer, a German shepherd, a chihuahua, and more! Right now, my home is kid-free and pet-free, and I have a flexible work schedule. Most importantly my home is a a smoke-free environment. Plus, with a 0.7-acre yard and a dog park just 10 minutes away, we’ve got plenty of space for adventures, playtime, and exploration! I have a flexible schedule, so I'll be able to have lots of time with your pets, especially on weekends and in the evenings! I have a large fenced-in yard and live less than 10 minutes away from a dog park! I also live in a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks, so your pet will get their exercise!

About: I frequently pet sit / house for friends and family, and enjoy it - so I figured why not try out Rover to make some extra cash while giving pets and their owners the comfort of knowing their furry loved ones are safe/happy in their own home. Currently I work a full-time job at The Ohio State University with my weekday schedule set at 7am-4pm. My evenings and weekends are free - except for the occasional concert and Columbus Crew home games. I am a very attentive pet sitter who enjoys the company of pets and will tend to the pet’s needs as the owner sees fit.
About: I have been a vet assistant, I’ve worked with horses, cats, dogs, birds, lizards, and snakes. I always go the extra mile and believe that pets deserve the very best. I was a vet assistant and specialized in “difficult “ pets. I will go at your pets speed, whatever helps them be more comfortable. If your pet needs more time to adjust, I will give them that. I take care of your babies as if they were mine, I will give them love and attention with boundaries. I specialize in difficult cases. If your pet needs a little extra time and attention that’s no problem.
“I can’t say enough good about Darren! My boys LOVE him. He is kind, patient, and gentle with my dogs. Sent lots of pics during his visit. He is punctual & has excellent communication - you’ll never be left with wondering! He is an animal lover & it really shows when you see him interact with your furbabies. I would HIGHLY recommend Darren & will use him again!”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and bring both experience and genuine care to every pet I watch. I was raised on a farm surrounded by animals, and I’ve owned dogs for most of my life, including a small dog I cared for over 16 years. I currently have an 8-month-old Golden Retriever puppy, so I’m very comfortable with puppy energy, routines, and reinforcement of basic training. I work as a teacher Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Because of this, I’m most available for pet care in the mornings, evenings, and overnight stays during the week. My schedule also allows for consistent availability on weekends, holidays, and school breaks, which gives me extra flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and extended care. When caring for pets, I prioritize maintaining their normal routines and making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship outside of my work hours.
About: I grew up in a house full of animals! I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, and fish since I was a kid. I dog-sat and cat-sat for my neighbors growing up. I also have 2 cats of my own now 🙂 I work full-time as an SLP at an elementary school. I wanted to keep doing this on the side because I love animals ☺️ I am not available weekdays until after around 4:30/5pm. I am free all day on weekends, though! I am off for summers so May 23-August 1 I am available all day! I will ensure that your pet’s harness and/or leash is secure. I will make sure to keep doors closed to ensure your pet does not get out.

I believe in positive reinforcement and do not use or support choker or shock collars. Your pet’s comfort, trust, and well-being are always my top priorities, whether they’re in my home or yours.
“Sydnie is a life saver! I asked for her help at last minute ages she immediately was happy to take care of my senior dog, she is trusted and a person I will definitely consider for the future”

“Heidi has been doing daily drop ins for our two dogs for almost two weeks now. She is wonderful. Lots of communication, pictures, and goes the extra mile. I was hesitant about using Rover instead of taking my dogs to daycare. She has reinforced that we made the right choice!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Blacklick Estates
Melanie has helped me a few times now and has gone above and beyond for my pets. I only asked for dogs to be fed and let outside, but she cleaned up pet messes, and even scooped a litter box for me! The dogs love her and I will definitely be hiring her again.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Blacklick Estates stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blacklick Estates choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Blacklick Estates with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
