I am here to love fur babies! However, what sets me apart from the other Rover caregivers? After thirteen years of personal pet care experience, I have learned to become tuned into the needs of each animal. I watch their body language, listen for the differentiation in their barks or meows and appreciate their boundaries. Just like with people, I want your pet to feel safe with me. Whether it is a quick walk, having some cuddle time or overnight stay, it all begins with building a strong relationship with you and your pet(s). I usually schedule a Meet & Greet to discuss you and your fur babies needs beforehand. I am ready to help you and your fur babies in anyway I can! I do serve at church three or four times a month. Depending on which team, my schedule maybe 6:30am - 1:30ish or 7:45am - 2ish.

I would like to meet you and your dog and/or cat before sitting. I want to make sure I am the correct fit for you both. I have minor breed restrictions: I don't feel comfortable, yet, with Cane Corso, and Alaskan Malamutes.
A typical day
When I with your babies, we will walk and take in all the lovely smells of the neighborhood. If allowed, I've taken dogs to the dog park and gotten pup cups. We will play with their toys, play chase depending on relationship with dog. Also there are days we will be slugs and eat snacks. If cat wants to venture outside, we can do that too. Regardless I always give loads of kisses and belly/butt rubs (my rubs have a 5 star rating on Yelp!).

Thank you for visiting my profile! Melanie is my name and taking care of fur babies is m'game (I regret nothing!😎). UPDATE AS OF JULY 17, 2026 My overnights are completely booked until after Labor Day weekend (Sept 15). With limited drop-ins and walks, and those will be based on my overnight location. Let’s start planning Fall getaways! At this time, I am not taking on any repeated walking clients.

A great lunch visit!
Melanie took very good care of Maisie at our home. She was very communicative, sending photos and videos and responding to any questions I had throughout. She also left the house in great shape, including washing sheets/towels and remaking the guest bed. I would definitely request her again!
