“Kathy did a fantastic job taking care of Roscoe! He spent the afternoon with her and came back happy and clearly well-loved. It's clear that Kathy has a natural connection with animals. She’s reliable, caring, and went above and beyond. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog sitter!”

About: Hi there, I’m Kaisee and I can’t wait to meet your fur babies. I’ve been working closely with dogs (and cats) for many years now. From dog sitting and grooming to working at an emergency vet clinic now, dogs have always had a special place with me. I understand that personal lives outside of the house can be hectic and that unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed everywhere we can go, I’m here to make sure your best friend/fur child will get the attention they need when you aren’t around and I promise not to spoil them too much. I can give grooming tips if needed and know how to train for basic commands, if needed. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged best friend. :) I work early hours M-F, so I am off work by 2pm and can make those early afternoon check ins. I also know that work isn’t the only thing that keeps us out of the house. Can always check in before bed time so clients can enjoy a late night out. When entering a new clients residence I am sure to keep everything neat and tidy and make sure your pet is safe and healthy. Talking in a soft voice as to not scare any pets and make sure all things are secure before leaving.
“Stacey is a wonderful sitter and I will gladly rebook with her! She helped us by coming over for visits during the day for our dog. She's super reliable and her updates have been awesome. Since moving, our dog's social life has narrowed, so when we discussed her kids coming with her on visits, I was so happy with that; kid energy is good energy. Thanks Stacey for being such a kind and caring sitter for Morty!”

About: I took care of my sister's dog for most of last summer and fall. I have developed strong dog-walking skills from this experience as she is quite the timid and confrontational dog. I have learned out to be extremely vigilant when walking a dog and I can read a dog's behavior as well as a human's at this point. My time management skills are par for the course and I have plenty of free time. I have plenty of free time – I have plenty of free time... there.. enough words. I have a fenced yard and beautful quiet neighborhood to walk your dog in. I can also learn the layout of any home and method for taking care of any dog by the standards of any owner within any home.
“We needed some daily drop-ins for our pup during a complicated travel time. Kathy was reliable, trustworthy, communicative and gave Marley all of the love during her visits. She even navigated our technical problems with the garage door and helped out when our furnace was acting up while we were away. We will absolutely ask her to care for our 90lb furbaby again! Highly recommend!!”

“Thank you very much Lacey, Mika was very glad to have you come and take care of her and so was I. You gave me great peace of mind, knowing that you were there and that you two bonded. I’m very very grateful for your support during this time so I could come see my family. Wishing you very well”

“Vanessa did a great job taking care of my cat Lucy while I was away for a few days. I appreciated the pictures she sent during her visits. I would recommend her to other pet parents.”

About: I have lots of experience with animals! I have one dog of my own named Millie and we’ve had her for about 8 years! I also work as a kennel technician at a dog and cat boarding facility and I’ve been doing that for about 2 years now. At this job, I have had a lot of experience with senior pets, special needs pets, and so much more. This job also has taught me to very good at reading dog body language. In addition to this, I also have experience with pet sitting my two neighbors cats. I currently have two other jobs now and am a full time college student. If your dog just needs quickly let out or a casual walk, that’s definitely something I’d be interested in doing. I am a very trustworthy person! I’m just a college student who’s looking for some extra money who just so happens to love animals a lot!
“Nicole is awesome! She is always on time, consistently takes great care of our girls, and lets us know of any issues that arise with the girls. We feel very confident and comfortable knowing that she provides great care for our girls.”

“Molly was amazing with my babies! My oldest, Jackie, is very nervous around new people, but Molly handled it with care and expertise. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Booked Taylor for about a week and everything was just as I left it. The cats were healthy and happy when I got back. Taylor was very communicative and I would book her again”

“Kara did an incredible job handling my anxious big boy. Talking through some things she was seeing and keeping me incredibly well informed. Her care and attention is clear to see from the moment she starts interacting to the conclusion of the visit. Many thanks Kara!”

“We have used Talia twice to watch our cats. Both times were great! We feel very comfortable with her and know everything is ok while we are gone. She is quick to respond and sent us updates about how the cats were doing. Thank you for everything! Would highly recommend!”

About: I have always been an avid dog lover and have experience caring for dogs and puppies of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grove City
My wife & I did a brief Meet & Greet at our home with Jennifer before booking her and were immediately sure that she was the perfect person to care for our cats while we were away. Jennifer did 8 Drop-In Visits with the cats over 5 days. They're usually shy with new people but they took to Jennifer pretty quickly. She has a wealth of experience, a deep and obvious love for animals, and treated our cats like they were her own! After each visit, she sent us a detailed report about the visit, including multiple photos of the cats (and their food bowls so we could see how much they were eating). I entered my search with a very high bar for the person I would accept to care for our cats, and Jennifer turned out to be, quite literally, a dream come true! I can't imagine ever trying to replace her and I have no intention of looking elsewhere.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
