It's difficult to leave him as he is pretty spoiled in terms of having his own bed and he also has a particular food he's needed to be on. This time he also had medication he needed to take on a regular basis. He always gets walked when he stays and Gunner also likes staying near Rachel. About: I have been watching since I was 20 years old. I watched friends dogs, siblings dogs and I used to have a Jack Russell beagle mix. His name was Milo. I work Monday through Friday, but I drove a truck. I’m on the road all day so I have the ability to come home. Check on the animals play with them. Feed them walk them throughout the day. I usually get off at 4 PM. No matter if I’m in some ways home or the animals are at my house I love to go out for walks with dogs and play with pets in general pet them. About: Being a senior makes me old school, like being exactly on time or a bit early. I subscribe to the Dog Whisperer tenet of being ALPHA and pack leader to dogs in my care. A dog in a pack is a happy dog. I only use positive reinforcement. Ex.: dog pulling on the leash can be fixed by changing directions every 4 steps to the left, walking in a square, this encourages the dog to slow down and watch his human. Dog hair is a welcome addition to a life well lived, that's why my dogs get furniture and bed privileges. One fact about my dogs i pay attention to is how many sips of water they take. On a very hot day I've seen 30-40. This helps me know easily how my pet is feeling so I can react accordingly. Maybe time to put the soft Frisbee away! I'm fully retired, and rise early, so morning walks are easy. Breakfast is next, and 1hr later another walk outside. I like to prep a bag to take to the park. My fav is Schiller Park in German Village. I don't own a pet currently, I've had some health issues that are now resolved. Having been an owner twice in my life has given me many many experiences so I am flexible.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and ages over the past 45 years from my poodle mix, Brutus, to my most beloved black lab, Gracie Ann. Currently, my Siberian cat, Jimmy, seems to be raising me! I spend time loving my grand-dogs and grand-cat as well. I was trained as a Capital Area Humane Society dog walker. I do find a special place in my heart for the senior pet. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I do volunteer work, dabble in some hobbies but there is still plenty of time available to take a walk or drop in and make sure your pet is safe. Even an overnight is possible. Due to apartment living, I would need to take care of pets in your home. I am available during the week and some weekends. I’m both an early riser and end the night after the evening news. About: I’ve worked at a vet clinic in my hometown for the past 5 years so I have lots of animal handling and care giving experience! I’m a recent college graduate and will be attending The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine this fall! As a college student athlete, my weekly schedule is very busy so I am more available on the weekends and early mornings before class. “I have to say that I really appreciate Rachel and her family and the way they have taken care of my daughter's dog Gunner when I leave him with them. It's difficult to leave him as he is pretty spoiled in terms of having his own bed and he also has a particular food he's needed to be on. This time he also had medication he needed to take on a regular basis. He always gets walked when he stays and Gunner also likes staying near Rachel. It's such a relief to know I can go out-of-town and have someone I trust care for him.”

“Mary was absolutely amazing with Layla! She communicated consistently and thoughtfully, sending pictures at least twice a day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Layla usually goes on a bit of a hunger strike when I leave, but she was so comfortable with Mary that she ate every single meal. That alone says everything! Layla looked genuinely happy in every photo and was clearly very well cared for. Mary also shared how much she loved spending time with Layla, and it truly sounds like they both had a great time together. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be using Mary’s services again in the future.”

I have excellent availability throughout the summer and am open to caring for your pets seven days a week! My schedule is highly flexible Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Mondays and Thursdays, I look after my two young grandchildren, which means I will be hanging out at home with them. If your pet loves a lively, family-friendly environment, they will fit right in on those days; otherwise, I can easily tailor my focus to match their preferred routine! Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a spacious fenced-in backyard perfect for safe outdoor playtime and bathroom breaks. Your furry family member will have plenty of company here, as I have two friendly dogs and a welcoming cat who are all completely accustomed to sharing their space with new guest dogs. Whether they want to run laps in the yard, socialize with my pets, or just find a cozy spot to relax, my home is a secure and loving environment.
