“Kathryn was absolutely awesome taking care of my fur kid while I was on vacation! From the very start, she was punctual and maintained great communication, sending pictures and updates the entire time. It gave me such peace of mind knowing my pet was in good hands. Most importantly, I felt completely comfortable trusting her with access to my home. I highly recommend Kathryn for anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!.”

“This was our first time using Rover and I was so nervous. Sherry went above and beyond for both me and my pets and put my mind completely at ease. She was punctual, Very responsive, and left detailed updates after each visit. Elli fell in love with her immediately and even the scared cat Nandor ended up making friends! Highly recommended!”

“Callie is amazing! She came through for us with a last minute request in less than 24 hours before we needed someone. Our dogs loved her and she cared for them wonderfully! I also had a gazillion packages delivered and she brought them inside lol. She’s the best!”

“Lacey is great! She came for a meet and greet with our new puppy, immediately felt at ease with her! She was great with updates throughout her visits, and we knew our puppy was in good hands! Cannot thank her enough for the great care she has shown! We will definitely use Lacey for future furry friend needs! 😊”

“Vanessa did a great job with Captain. I especially appreciated the update she provided at the end of the stay to let me know how things went. She asked great questions at the start and clearly has a love and appreciation for animals.”

About: I took care of my sister's dog for most of last summer and fall. I have developed strong dog-walking skills from this experience as she is quite the timid and confrontational dog. I have learned out to be extremely vigilant when walking a dog and I can read a dog's behavior as well as a human's at this point. My time management skills are par for the course and I have plenty of free time. I have plenty of free time – I have plenty of free time... there.. enough words. I have a fenced yard and beautful quiet neighborhood to walk your dog in. I can also learn the layout of any home and method for taking care of any dog by the standards of any owner within any home.
“Savannah loves our dogs as her very own-just as they love her. She is always on time, actually early and makes sure to take the best care of our fur babies when we can’t be there. We will continue to book her to take care of our pups.”

“Jocelyn is our go-to person when we need someone to care for our 2 cats! She always shows up on time, gives the cats lots of love, and provides good updates during the visits!”

“Couldn’t be more thankful for the care she gave while we were away! Abigail made being away from saylor, so stress free knowing she was in good hands! So many pictures & videos and great communication. Will definitely rebook if ever needed.”

“My senior dog’s boarding days are behind her as she prefers to be home in her older age so for a long weekend trip, I decided to try Rover for the first time. I read some recent reviews and read great things about Kristin so I reached out to see if she would be available. She responded quickly and when I told her it was my first time using the app, she walked me through her process of meeting us/the pet about a week before the job which I thought was a really great idea. She was kind and attentive to our pet and the details (food instructions, where to find supplies etc) Once we left town, she was very communicative. I loved getting pictures and a brief overview of how our dog was doing while we were away. I would highly recommend Kristin and hope to be able to use her again in the future!”

About: I have 2 beautiful dogs. I have been taking care of dogs for over seven years now. I have personally trained my own dogs and their are both well behaved boys! Hi there! 🐾 I’m excited to offer reliable, compassionate pet care services designed to keep your furry family members happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away. I currently provide drop-in visits and dog walking services every day except Tuesday, as well as doggy daycare on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As a full-time nursing student, I’ve developed strong skills in responsibility, attentiveness, and care. My background in healthcare means I’m comfortable following detailed instructions, recognizing changes in behavior, and responding calmly in unexpected situations. While I may not have formal veterinary training, I bring a nurturing, detail-oriented approach that translates naturally into high-quality pet care. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet in someone else’s hands, and I take that responsibility seriously. My schedule is structured but flexible within my available days. Because I am in school full-time, I carefully plan my availability to ensure I can dedicate quality time and focused attention to each pet I care for. I do not rush visits—I prioritize meaningful interaction so your pet feels comfortable and cared for, not just “checked on.” Whether you need a quick drop-in, a refreshing walk, or a full day of care, I’m here to help make your life easier and your pet’s day brighter. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companion! 🐶💛 I can care for your fur babies in any environment. In my home I have a fenced in backyard where your baby can run free. I treat animals like humans and they are all welcomed on the furniture! I try to stay fairly active so I can take your dog on short jogs or long walks.
“I can't reccomend Taylor enough! She took such good care of my cats and lizard while we were on vacation for a week. We have a very shy and standoffish cat and it was clear to me that Taylor made them all feel so safe and comfortable based on how willing the cats were to let her snap pics of them every day - shes a great photographer too! Great communication, punctual, flexible (thank you again for feeding and keeping an eye on our bearded dragon!), and just all around a wonderful sitter who we will absolutely be booking with again. I would trust her in my home and with my pets any day. Thank you Taylor!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs but I also love cats! I am open to all animals as well. I am currently working as a pet attendant and also am K9 CPR/First aid certified. I currently work part time. I am mostly looking for weekend work during the day/afternoon! Depending on the day I may be able to do a special accommodation! I am open to any requirements you have for taking care of your pet! I am big on honesty, constructive criticism, and communication as well so there is no need to worry that your pet isn’t getting what they need!
“Talia took great care of our dog when we were away. She was very communicative which helped us feel very comfortable knowing our girl was well taken care of. Judging by the pictures, Lucy seemed to love her time with Talia!”

“Abby is great! This was my second time with Abby as my sitter & she did a great job at taking care of my pup Theo while I was out of town, I knew he was in good hands :) Abby is great at communication / providing consistent updates. I will continue to use Abby in the future!”

“Nicole was awesome with our puppy Puck! She came by the night before the first drop in and met us and Puck which was super nice because we were able to show her where everything was in the house (crate, food/treats, leashes, etc) as well as give her some notes and stuff! She was super nice, and Puck loved her right away which made us much more comfortable! When she arrived the next day she took him out and played with him outside and inside for an hour! She took lots of pictures and let us know how he did with her! We couldn’t recommend Nicole more!”

“Kara did an incredible job handling my anxious big boy. Talking through some things she was seeing and keeping me incredibly well informed. Her care and attention is clear to see from the moment she starts interacting to the conclusion of the visit. Many thanks Kara!”

“Rachel is fantastic and very flexible for my needs. Will definitely use her again in the future. Highly recommended. No problems at all efficient courteous, and an invaluable help with my crazy work schedule.”

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Megan and Matt! Leaving your pets behind is always a bit stressful, but they completely set our minds at ease from the very first introduction. Here is why they are absolute rockstars: Communication: We loved getting regular updates and adorable photos. It was so reassuring to see our pets happy, relaxed, and having a great time. Matt noticed our food was low and was attentive to the issue and communicated the need so quickly. Peace of Mind: They are reliable, punctual, and incredibly trustworthy. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Urbancrest. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
