I WILL LOVE YOUR PETS LIKE YOU DO!!

Hi there! Here's a little bit about me. I grew up with dogs and cats in my home from an early age. I was also on my grandparents farm a lot. I fed the pigs and chickens and milked the cows. I had a diabetic cat. I almost lost him, but my awesome vet saved him, a week in the hospital and $1200.00 later. I then also had to buy insulin, which at the time was extremely expensive. But if that's what he needed, then that's what he got! I had a dog with the worst case of separation anxiety my vet had ever seen. She also had just plain anxiety even if she was with me. We tried everything, but there was just no way around it, so she went EVERYWHERE with me. She lived to 17 and I had to say goodbye to her in March 2018. It was one of the worst days of my life! She was my best friend, my soulmate, my baby girl, and totally my mini me. So I know the love and heartache people with pets go through. I've rescued a few dogs, but I've always had a thing with cats. I have rescued hundreds of them by now. (Honestly, I will rescue any animal that needs help!) I lived 2 hours north of Columbus out in the country and at one point I was feeding 15 cats a day. They all knew there would always be food on my porch for them. I even brought them inside in different rooms during the winter. Some were truly feral and others had obviously been someone's cat, but they definitely didn't trust people so it was a process for me to gain their trust enough for them to let me pick them up to go inside. When I moved back to Columbus I couldn't bare the thought of leaving them. They would always wonder why I left and where I went, so I brought all of them that were left with me. (A couple of them got sick n I had to say goodbye to them. They might've started out feral, but they were mine in the end so their urns sit with all my other babies I've lost.) One went missing and I searched for weeks and put out flyers. And the other one, I couldn't get him in the crate. At least twice a week for a few months I drove back up there and called and looked for him. I finally found him one night. I got him to come to me. We tried the crate thing again and he just went crazy and clawed me all over and bit me. He got loose and I couldn't continue to keep driving up there and not work. It still to this day breaks my heart because I had made the most progress with him. To me, there is no better feeling in the world than that animal looking at you with such gratitude, love, and trust! I felt very honored when my vet called me and asked me if I'd take in another cat with diabetes. The owners were going to put him down just because he had diabetes, so I said absolutely! But then he got sick and had other issues so they did end up putting him down. But, the fact that my vet thought of me to call and ask meant the world to me. I do still have 5 cats, (and a turtle), and they are my babies. My oldest one was 20 when I had to say goodbye. She was with me the whole 20 years. I found her as a kitten under my grill cover crying in the rain. To me, animals are to be cared for and loved. They are a part of your family. My fur babies are my kids and I love and protect them as any mother does a child. They are so innocent and pure and there's nothing like their unconditional love. I will treat yours the same as I treat my own!

I love dogs of all breeds and sizes. My dog had separation anxiety so I would definitely want to know that. Any likes or dislikes the dog has would be helpful. Or things they're afraid of.
