“My senior Goldendoodle was so loved and cared for during visits by Emma. Emma was easy to work with in organizing the visits. She was on time for appointments and truly spent quality time with my pup. I trust her with being in my home and caring for my pet-family. I will call on Emma again...she's awesome!”

About: I’ve been around and caring for pets for years, and I truly love spending time with animals. I have experience caring for dogs, including feeding, walking, playing, and giving them plenty of attention. I’m responsible, patient, dependable, and will treat every pet like they are my own. I’m comfortable following specific instructions and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m currently in school, but not for long so i will have plenty of time for your pups! I go in around 8am and get out around 12:30pm. I work only on Saturday’s, but just in the evening. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for pets in my home. I have one friendly dog who is used to being around other animals. I will give your pet plenty of attention and supervision, while making sure they have space to feel comfortable. I can crate your dog if needed and will follow your instructions for feeding, walks, bathroom breaks, and their normal routine.
About: Available M,T,Th,F for evenings. W,Sa,Su available all day!! Hi there, I’m Kaisee and I can’t wait to meet your fur babies. I’ve worked closely with dogs (and cats) for many years now. From dog sitting and grooming to working at an emergency vet clinic, dogs have always had a special place with me. I understand that personal lives outside of the house can be hectic and that unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed everywhere we can go, I’m here to make sure your best friend/fur child will get the attention they need when you aren’t around and I promise not to spoil them too much. I can give grooming tips if needed and know how to train for basic commands, if needed. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged best friend. :) I work early hours M,T,Th,F so I am off work every Wednesday and home by 4pm other days. I also know that work isn’t the only thing that keeps us out of the house. Can always check in before bed time so clients can enjoy a late night out. When entering a new clients residence I am sure to keep everything neat and tidy and make sure your pet is safe and healthy. Talking in a soft voice as to not scare any pets and make sure all things are secure before leaving.

“Nicole is the best pet sitter we have ever had! After having so many failed attempts to find the person who will provide the best care for our girls, we feel that we have finally found that person in Nicole. She is truly interested in our babies and goes out of her way to learn about their individual needs, how to meet those needs, and what our preferences are yo keep them healthy, happy, and safe.”

About: I'm new to pet sitting but not new to loving dogs and cats! I have 3 fur babies (pups). Dora, Rosie, and GG and they are my world along with my husband of course! 😊 I am also a Board of Trustee member for Columbus Humane as I am deeply passionate about animal welfare. I've spent 25 years in leadership in the intellectual and developmental disability field. I'm currently launching my own consulting business that allows me flexibility to earn extra income snuggling with your pets! I will treat your pets like my own which means lots of love, walks, and treats! I am currently starting my own consulting business so my schedule is very open. I go to the gym 3 days a week around noon for an hour. Otherwise, I have lots of availability. As a dog mom who is super protective of my pups ever getting out of our yard, I will ensure I follow all instructions to make sure your pet is safe at all times. All 3 of my pups have their own needs as they are all seniors so I'm comfortable with special diets, medication, or any other needs your pet may have.
“Lindsey was amazing to work with! Great communication before and during her visit with our pup. You can really tell she cares about her clients ❤️ And our pup Duncan seemed very happy after her visit! We'll definitely use her services again.”

About: Hi! I’m a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist, mom to an animal-loving son (school age), and lifelong pet lover with over 25 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. Over the years, I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and playful kittens to senior pets and those with complex medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, shots for diabetic dogs, monitoring pets with chronic health conditions, following detailed care routines, and recognizing when something doesn’t seem quite right. I understand how important consistency and attention to detail are, especially for pets who need a little extra care. As both a healthcare professional and pet owner, I’m dependable, patient, organized, and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, snuggles on the couch, or simply having a calm, reassuring presence, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how difficult it can be to leave your furry family members, and I’ll care for them with the same compassion and attention I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! As a part time SLP I have a flexible schedule and am available for morning, day or evening drop ins or stay overs as needed! I have photos of my family (both furry and human) but only myself will be providing care for your pets. I have 4 dogs and large fenced in yard at my home in Grove city, so cannot provide care in our home as it is already a full house! However I am happily available to come to your home and spend time with your animal in their most familiar environment. I have had 11 dogs and 3 cats over the course of my adult life and have loads of experience with special needs animals, medication administration, injectable/diabetic animal treatment, seniors, special diet, allergies, you name it! I can also help with any plant care, fish feeding/cleaning or other household management tasks as needed.

I provide lots of attention, love, and exercise to keep them happy and healthy. I also keep a close eye on their behavior and health, making sure they’re safe and relaxed at all times. Cleanliness and a calm environment are priorities, and I communicate regularly with the pet owner to update them on how their pet is doing!!
About: My family was lucky enough to have dogs while growing up, as such we learned to care for them while growing up. After we grew into adults, each family continue to have dogs for their own for their family. Hope to extend that caring to pets I'll meet. Presently, I'll be aiming for late noon to early evening bookings on weekdays & more availability on weekends & most holidays except for Thanksgiving & Christmas. In my view, pets are part of the family member. Number one concern of course is their safeness. Their happiness & well being secondly. Full attention will be given for both.
“Brooke was absolutely amazing with our babies! We were scared to leave them with someone that wasn't family or a friend but she eased those scares! Thanks for being such a sweet soul to our babies! 😊”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
