About: I previously owned a dog walking and pet-sitting business for over four years, and I absolutely loved it! I walked dogs that ranged from 1-16 years of age, and administered oral medication and provided insulin to diabetic dogs. I have also fostered dogs four separate times, ages ranging from 1-6 years. I have 4 years of exotic animal care experience as well! I work from home full time on a very flexible schedule. I can move my daily plans around to fit your needs, and will update my availability to include changes ASAP. There is one other dog and two friendly cats in the home. My partner is experienced in animal husbandry and loves pets just as much as me. We are sure to give them plenty of love, patience, and attention! I can take furry friends on extra walks if requested, and I can send you pictures throughout your pets' stay!
“Brooke was absolutely amazing with our babies! We were scared to leave them with someone that wasn't family or a friend but she eased those scares! She sent plenty of pics & always made sure to ask before giving something to the pups or doing walks with them ! We will definitely book her again in the future!!!! Thanks for being such a sweet soul to our babies! 😊”

“Deb was amazing with our pups! This was their first time with a new sitter and immediately fell in love. Deb sent detailed updates every day and spent a little extra time with them when one was not feeling well. She even cleaned up some poopy accidents! (Sorry again for that additional unexpected work!). Will definitely be booking her again. My dogs would be very upset if I didn't!”

About: Lifelong dog enthusiast and proud paw-rent to two goofy Goldendoodles! With years of experience caring for pups, I offer reliable dog walking, drop-in visits, and cozy in-home boarding. I am patient, loving, and dedicated to giving your dog the best care possible. When your dog is with me, they’re family. Let's get those tails wagging! I love dogs and have been taking care of them for more than 8 years. My neighbors enjoy leaving their fur babies with me while they are away. I work part time but mostly home for frequent potty breaks and playing time. Your pet will be taken care of like they are my own. I have a big fenced yard for playing and running around!! Your pet is free around my house unless you have a a preference. My 2 doodles love to snuggle on the couch 😂
“Taylor was prompt in her replies, even when I did a last minute booking! She was great with the kiddos, they were taken care of very well. My dog Vali got nice walks and lots of pets. Taco, my cat definitely appreciated the timely meals 😆, churu treats ☺️ and play time. Definitely will continue with her for future bookings.”

“Victoria did a great job! All our pets were cared for and we had peace of mind seeing the pictures and notes for each visit while we were away. Thank you!”

About: I've been a dog person for as long as I can remember, with over 13 years of hands-on experience covering walks, cuddles, vet visits, and everything in between. I recently lost my beloved pup to cancer, so I know firsthand what it means to love a dog deeply and care for them through every stage of life. I'm experienced with senior dogs and administering medication, and welcome large breeds . My partner Max is also home to help, so your pup is always in good hands. I only host one household at a time and am committed to giving your dog my full attention. Right now we have a pet-free home and will give your pup gets all of our attention. Your dog will be treated like a member of the family from the moment they arrive. Fri-Mon there is someone home at all times, so potty breaks can be kept to whatever schedule your dog requires. We don't often host midweek, but if we do, Tue-Thu we are able to limit alone time to approximately 4-5 hrs. I have a securely fenced yard for outdoor play and potty breaks, and will be present with you dog as long as they are outside (no leaving them alone despite the fence). Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in the bed. I'll stick to whatever routine works best for your pet, including feeding schedules, medication, and any special needs. I'm experienced with senior dogs and large breeds, and I'm happy to share regular updates and photos so you always know how your pup is doing.

“Jessica was great! Everything went well and she left the house exactly as I left it. She even sent pictures of my Rudy dog so I knew everything was okay! We will definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve been raised with animals my whole life! I have had various cats, fish, dogs and, even a hedgehog over the years. I was also responsible for walking the two family dogs. I’ve pet sat several times for family friends in the past. I love cats and dogs, (of any size) and have true compassion for any animal I meet, as if they were my own pet. Let me know if you have any questions! I work Monday-Friday, 9-5. I am flexible to stop by early mornings, after work, and on the weekends! I’m happy to work with you to determine the best schedule that fits your pets needs. If I am in your home to complete a service the utmost caution would be exercised to respect your space while caring for your furry friend!
“Vanessa took a last min booking and made a stressful situation with our injured kitten when we couldn’t be home not so stressful. She gave her meds and gave us peace of mind. Vanessa even provided helpful advice and tips and offered to pick up supplies for us. Wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again”

“Heidi has been doing daily drop ins for our two dogs for almost two weeks now. She is wonderful. Lots of communication, pictures, and goes the extra mile. I was hesitant about using Rover instead of taking my dogs to daycare. She has reinforced that we made the right choice!”

“My kitties had great visits with Merri! I contacted her with very short notice but everything worked out smoothly and wonderfully. I will definitely contact her again in the future and recommend her to anyone with four-footers - both cats (I have four) and dogs!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family fostered and cared for cats, which sparked my lifelong passion for animal care and behavior. Professionally, I’ve worked in a dog daycare, pet store, and boarding environment, and have spent the past two years working at an animal shelter. Through these roles, I’ve gained hands on experience caring for cats, dogs, reptiles, and small mammals. I am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and have experience working with canines who have behavioral challenges such as stranger danger, reactivity, and resource guarding. I am trained in reading canine body language and adjusting my approach to help pets feel safe and comfortable. Cats are also a particular passion of mine. In addition to caring for social cats, I have experience socializing feral and semi-feral cats and working with shy or nervous kitties who need extra patience and understanding. I am also comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and caring for multi-pet households. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work at an animal shelter Wednesday through Saturday. Because of this, I am primarily available Sundays through Tuesdays for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting services. I may have drop in availability the other days after 7 pm. I do my best to keep my availability up to date and will always communicate clearly about scheduling so you know exactly what to expect. My goal is to keep your pets as comfortable as possible by maintaining their normal routine while you’re away. I understand that every pet has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels, so I tailor my care to each individual animal. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, enrichment activities, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm and respectful presence nearby, I am happy to meet them where they are. I prioritize safety, patience, and positive interactions, especially with nervous or shy pets. Communication is extremely important to me. During visits, I provide updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Tori was awesome and clearly a great energy cuz my senior kitty does NOT like people, she was out and welcoming Tori from her first visit. Definitely going to become a regular of mine and my baby ?”

“I had the pleasure of having Annette look after my cats while I was out of town, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. I had to book at the last minute, and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating, which put my mind at ease.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
