“This was my first time booking with Rachel, but it certainly won’t be my last! She took wonderful care of Macaroni and Pepper and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Her Rover cards were thoughtful and detailed, and it was clear she spent plenty of time playing with and caring for the cats. They were happy, comfortable, and well-loved when I got home—and I think they already miss her! I highly recommend Rachel and will absolutely book with her again.”

“Thanks for taking such great care of my 20 y/o kitty. I feel like I don't have to worry about her when you're taking care of her and it makes it easier to enjoy my time with family over the holidays.”

“Very friendly, readily available, and great communicators. I felt like my pet was happy and safe in their care and comfortable with them in our home. They even brought in a package for us from our doorstep. Great pet-sitters and we will definitely book with them again in the future!”
“Heather was incredibly responsive and took great care of my kitties. Her update pictures helped put me at ease while I was away. I highly recommend her as a sitter!!”

“I was lucky enough to book Kirsten a second time after a great experience last year. She’s very attentive to my two cats individual personalities and provides wonderful pictures and updates. I highly recommend!”

“Brooke was absolutely amazing with our babies! We were scared to leave them with someone that wasn't family or a friend but she eased those scares! She sent plenty of pics & always made sure to ask before giving something to the pups or doing walks with them ! We will definitely book her again in the future!!!! Thanks for being such a sweet soul to our babies! 😊”

“Professional. Confident. Reassuring. Reliable. My pups have some quirks and are BIG which can be intimidating. She completed a VERY last minute meet and greet which helps calm our nerves. She provided report cards and pictures. We will definitely use her again!”

“JoVonna was wonderful! She was super responsive, a pleasure to talk to, and sent me tons of cute pictures of my cat each day! Next time I go out of town I will absolutely be reaching out to her again.”

“Denise did a great job. She had great communication and sent us lots of pictures of our dogs. I feel very comfortable having her in my house. She was very accommodating to my last minute request. We'll definitely use her again. Thanks so much!”

“Travis was excellent. He followed each of my steps for my two cats and was very communicative. I appreciated his thoroughness and his responsiveness! Although my cats hid during his visits, I felt immensely better by having someone check in on them!”

“I can't reccomend Taylor enough! She took such good care of my cats and lizard while we were on vacation for a week. We have a very shy and standoffish cat and it was clear to me that Taylor made them all feel so safe and comfortable based on how willing the cats were to let her snap pics of them every day - shes a great photographer too! Great communication, punctual, flexible (thank you again for feeding and keeping an eye on our bearded dragon!), and just all around a wonderful sitter who we will absolutely be booking with again. I would trust her in my home and with my pets any day. Thank you Taylor!”

“Kathleen was amazing to our sweet pug! She played with her and walked her during her visits. She also shared lots of updates and photos of our girl. Will absolutely use Kathleen again and highly recommend her!”

“Merri was so fantastic to coordinate and communicate with, and I'm sure Yuka loved her visits because he got to go outside! Merri is trustworthy and I appreciate the effort into doing a meet and greet to familiarize herself with Yuka.”

“Darren has been letting my puppy out for a few weeks now and he’s been awesome! As forgetful as I am he is always adaptable and available for whatever I need, and I could tell my pup loves when he is over!”

Jayde was amazing! Our girl Luna absolutely fell in love with her and had the best time. She kept us updated, took great care of Luna, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter and will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

Aspen was absolutely fantastic watching Enzo for 4 days! From the very beginning, she was communicative, reliable, and put my mind completely at ease while I was away. She sent the cutest picture updates and treated Enzo like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!

Sahara was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of our cats, Cleo and Calvin, while we were away for a weekend trip. She spent 30–40 minutes each visit playing with them, feeding them, and making sure they were comfortable and happy. We really appreciated the photo updates — seeing Cleo and Calvin totally put our minds at ease. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Sahara, and we would definitely book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
