“Savannah was easy to work with, quick to respond, prompt with the meet and greet time, and best of all, kind and caring to my two Chihuahuas. They showed zero signs of stress upon my return (which is not usual). I would use Rover again, it was so convenient and Savannah made me feel completely at ease. Great service given by all!”
“Always a friendly and professional experience when I book with Kam. I look forward to the next time I need her to ensure our cat is taken great care of in our absence. Well done.”

“Travis provided exceptional help with our two cats. He met with us ahead of time and asked thoughtful questions. He was prompt, communicative and sent detailed reports and pictures. We greatly appreciated his approach, he is highly recommended.”

“Very friendly, readily available, and great communicators. I felt like my pet was happy and safe in their care and comfortable with them in our home. They even brought in a package for us from our doorstep. Great pet-sitters and we will definitely book with them again in the future!”
“Darren took such great care of our particular boy! Koda struggles to eat when we go out of town and Darren was great with communicating if he ate or not and how long they got to walk for. Koda loved seeing Darren! Thanks for everything!”

“Asiah has become my go-to sitter when I'm out of town! She is very attentive to my cat and was nice enough to water the plants on my balcony. I'm grateful to have someone so kind and caring to take of my cat and apartment while I'm gone.”

“Ariel did great with our dog and our cat! This was our first time having someone drop in for our pets—and I’m sold thanks to Ariel. I got lots of pics and our animals clearly enjoyed her visits. I would definitely invite her back when the need arises—or maybe when Milo wants to play with a toy in the backyard with her!!”

“Michelle was so amazing, what a life saver! Our cat is outside but needs meds. Michelle was so caring and thoughtful about making sure our cat got the pills, even on days where she was hiding and wouldn’t come out. Michelle’s updates were very detailed and allowed me to relax while on vacation. I’m so grateful!”

“Our furry friends love Scott! His patience and gentle approach helps even our feisty orange guy warm up to the unfamiliar house guest. We have been genuinely delighted and surprised by how well our buddies have embraced their new friend. Thank you, Scott, for keeping our four-legged friends entertained and cared for while we’re away.”

“Tamara did an incredible job taking care of our cats while we were out of town. Her pictures and notes are detailed, fun to read, and provide a sense of comfort knowing our fur babies are doing well. Additionally, she has a very high attention to detail and is very consistent with her services. I highly recommend her services and will be re-booking in the future!”

About: I have had a dog ever since I was born, and am now 23 years old! I helped train my newest dog, so I have a lot of experience in puppy training. My last dog unfortunately had to have her leg amputated when she got older, so I also have experience with disabled dogs. I have also volunteered at an animal shelter for years, so I am good with all kinds of dogs- big and small, anxious and energetic, etc. Whenever one of my friends is out of town, I am their go-to pet sitter. I pet sit for a lot of my friend’s cats, so while I’ve never had one, I know how to take care of them. My dog, Rosie, is my entire world, so I know how important your pets are to you! I will treat them as if they are my own :). I do have a full-time job, but it is very flexible. I am able to leave during the day if needed for your pet! My nights are always free too, so I am able to house-sit. Your pet will be my #1 priority in my routine! I will keep your pet safe with my life! I will ensure they are on a leash when outside and make sure they are comfortable and getting their exercise in. Inside, I love to play with them! I will ensure no doors are left open so they can’t slip outside to maintain their safety. But I will make sure they are having fun while inside!

“How we love Marae!! She is so kind and took such good care of our pups! I feel like I overloaded her with a lot of information to only care for our dogs for a day, but she followed everything so beautifully and went above and beyond. The photos helps me be confident that my dogs are taking care of. Honestly, my dogs are really chill, but I could tell in every picture that they were so comfortable with her and that meant the world to me. Please please book with her if you get the opportunity! I can’t wait to work with her again.”

“Aspen was great! Booked her for Thanksgiving week while I was out of town visiting family and she gave me so much peace of mind that she was able to care and drop in to check our cats! She was very friendly, communicative and professional, thanks Aspen!”

Abbey has done a great job checking in on both of our dogs for two weeks now. She is super dependable about showing up on time, documenting the visit, and engaging well with both Theo and Bruce. She’s even gone the extra mile and cleaned up after Bruce had a couple of pee accidents inside the house - definitely not something we expect from any dog-sitter but very kind and thoughtful nonetheless. We highly recommend her pet care services!

Aspen was absolutely fantastic watching Enzo for 4 days! From the very beginning, she was communicative, reliable, and put my mind completely at ease while I was away. She sent the cutest picture updates and treated Enzo like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!

Melanie has helped me a few times now and has gone above and beyond for my pets. I only asked for dogs to be fed and let outside, but she cleaned up pet messes, and even scooped a litter box for me! The dogs love her and I will definitely be hiring her again.

Jodi was awesome! You can tell she's an animal person through and through. She was incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond in helping us get connected to another sitter, who was actually closer to our home, and made sure we had coverage for our whole trip. She stopped by our house for a meet and greet, and was so patient in meeting our cats. I would absolutely recommend her to take care of your pets!

Kelsey did a wonderful job taking care of Jesse! This is the second time we have had Kelsey take care of her and she was as great this time as she was last time. She will be our go to whenever we go out of town. Kelsey was very flexible when we had winter weather conditions to deal with both at home, and affecting our drive home. Thankfully she was available when we had to delay our return by a day. Our only quibble is that Jesse was asking where that nice lady who took better care of her was. 😏 Thank you Kelsey!

I cannot recommend Janell enough! I have such peace of mind when it comes to her checking in on our cats while we're away. She takes the time to play with them and even our shy cat comes out for her! I love that it's never a simple refill their food and water and go. She actually spends time with our babies and I love that!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
