“We had a wonderful experience working with Jessica! Jessica took care of our two kittens for about a week while we were on vacation. She was SUPER responsive, quick to reply, and gave us regular updates. It was such a relief knowing our cats were well taken care of while we were away! Our cats were happy and well cared for when we returned. We absolutely would recommend her, and will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Elizabeth is great with my 2 German Shepherd puppies, they are very energetic and a handful sometimes. She helps me with reinforcing their training when she comes over and let's them out to potty and play. They have to calm and settle before they get treats and she does a good job with that. I will definitely use her services again.”

“Kam was amazing!! We have a very anxious dog who did not do well in boarding, so decided to do a dog sitter. Our dog has regressive behavior and Kam knew exactly how to work with our dog's personality. This time he was in such better spirits and so happy when we got home. There were no accidents, nothing chewed. Kam came every visit, sent photos and spent 30 minutes each visit. I am definitely using Kam again in the future!”

“I was able to relax and spend time with my parents, knowing Lexi was in good hands. She tried to get a second dinner from me, but I didn't fall for it because Ashlyn communicated so well. ? Thank you, Ashlyn, for taking such good care of my sweet girl.”

About: I grew up with animals and have always had a deep love for them. I’ve been caring for pets for years and have extensive experience with both dogs and cats. I currently foster dogs through my local humane society, which has given me experience helping pets adjust to new environments, administering medications when needed, and providing patient, individualized care. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I do everything I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I currently work from home, so your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision throughout the day. I have a large fenced yard for supervised outdoor play and enjoy spending time walking, playing, cuddling, and relaxing with pets. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’ll provide attentive care while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal in my care like a member of my own family. I’m very communicative and will keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy, and loved. I can promise they’ll be treated like one of my own (and definitely spoiled)! 🐾 Pet care is naturally part of my everyday life! Since I currently work from home, I’m able to give pets lots of attention throughout the day. I’m very active, so your pet will enjoy frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of exercise. Whether they love to cuddle on the couch, sleep in bed, or just be close to someone, they’ll have lots of companionship and won’t spend much time alone. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and will make sure they feel like part of the family. I believe every pet deserves to be treated with love, respect, and patience. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that’s tailored specifically to them. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to keep them happy, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away. “Ariel did great with our dog and our cat! This was our first time having someone drop in for our pets—and I’m sold thanks to Ariel. I got lots of pics and our animals clearly enjoyed her visits. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
