With years of hands-on experience caring for my own four dogs—including three energetic, sharp-witted Border Collies and a sweet Newfoundland mix—I’ve developed a deep understanding of canine behavior, communication, and care. From puppy training to handling behavioral challenges like resource guarding, I’ve learned how to connect with dogs of all temperaments. My background also includes time as a veterinary receptionist, where I gained experience recognizing health concerns and administering basic medical care. Whether your pup needs a brisk walk, a calm drop-in visit, or just a buddy to hang out with, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, love, and attention to their unique needs. I’m also an experienced cat parent to three quirky felines, each with their own personalities—one shy, one bold, and one who clearly runs the house! I understand that building trust with cats takes time and respect, and I’m happy to go at their pace—even if that means quietly sitting nearby while they decide how they feel about me. Note for New Clients: I require a brief meet-and-greet before our first scheduled visit or walk. This helps me understand your pet’s needs, lets us discuss care details, and ensures you feel confident and comfortable with me. It’s also the perfect time to go over food instructions, gear locations, passcodes or key handoffs.

Kelsey did a wonderful job taking care of Jesse! This is the second time we have had Kelsey take care of her and she was as great this time as she was last time. She will be our go to whenever we go out of town. Kelsey was very flexible when we had winter weather conditions to deal with both at home, and affecting our drive home. Thankfully she was available when we had to delay our return by a day. Our only quibble is that Jesse was asking where that nice lady who took better care of her was. 😏 Thank you Kelsey!
The you Kelsey for doing such a great job! Jesse gives you high marks! We got home about an hour ago and Jesse was very happy to see us, but I also think she is a bit disappointed it wasn't you. She said you give more cuddles than I do. ;) Thank you also to your husband for helping to get the packages in! That was above and beyond, and much appreciated. Kelsey was amazing and patient with Asher. His first time being home alone. She made it a success. Kelsey is definitely going to be our preferred Asher sitter.
I remember when Kelsey adopted her first puppy Aspen, who is now a happy and healthy 10 year old. Since then Kelsey has adopted 3 more dogs with her husband Curtis, as well as a menagerie of other rescues including birds, rabbits, and cats. Her animals are her life and she cares for them immensely. For example her birds are largely rescues with an extended life span (70+ years) whose owners have passed and desperately need homes. I would trust the care of any animal to Kelsey, she has devoted her home and free time to caring for and providing animals the best quality of life she can.
I have known Kelsey for over a decade and her love for animals is indescribable. She has several pets of her own that are very well-trained and cared for. She has also watched my dogs when I am away for a weekend. One of my dogs is shy and wary of most people and she was incredibly patient with him to earn his trust at his pace. She is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of animal care, which makes her my go-to friend to ask for advice when I face a training or behavior challenge with any of my dogs.
Kelsey has helped watch our dogs multiple times over the past couple of years when my wife and I go on vacation or weekend trips and every time she does a great job! She is reliable, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Our pets love her, and we feel totally at ease knowing they are in great hands during those trips. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which is amazing. I can’t think of a more qualified and caring person to watch someone’s pets.

Between our four dogs, three cats, parrots, and reptiles, I maintain a lively and well-loved household! Because I work part-time at a family-run bakery, I have plenty of free time to dedicate to caring for both my own pets and yours. I take a thoughtful, organized approach to pet care. Each week, I create a schedule that outlines the individual needs of every animal I’m responsible for—whether they’re my own or part of a client’s family. This ensures everyone gets the attention, enrichment, and care they deserve. Whether I'm caring for a high-energy pup, a shy senior cat, or a talkative parrot, I approach each day with dedication, compassion, and a strong attention to detail.

I do my best to stick as closely as possible to the routine you already have with your pets. Whether it's specific feeding times, favorite walking routes, playtime rituals, or even bedtime routines, I know how important consistency is - especially when you're away. Following your established schedule helps keep your pets comfortable, reduces stress, and allows me to build trust with them more quickly.

A typical day
A tired dog is a happy dog! While a quick stroll around the block may work for some, I believe in making walks both physically and mentally enriching. That means allowing plenty of time for sniffing (a dog’s version of reading the news!), exploring new sights, and walking on different terrains to keep things interesting. I tailor the pace and style of each walk to your dog’s needs and energy level. For in-home drop-ins, I keep the atmosphere calm, loving, and as routine as possible. I know that changes in environment or routine—especially when their favorite humans are away—can be stressful for pets. My goal is to provide a comforting presence, help maintain their daily rhythm, and give them the attention and affection they’re used to. When it comes to cats, I fully understand that every feline is different. Some love interaction and pets, while others need their space and prefer a quiet observer. I respect each cat's boundaries and adjust my approach based on their personality and comfort level
