“Ellen is fantastic. She has taken care of my cat several times now. She is highly responsible and attentive to all the scheduling and booking details. Also, she checks in regularly with a note and photo, so I know how things are going. She’s mature and a delight.”

“Carolyne, It was a very trying week for you with the winter storm, our unplowed driveway and the door lock problem. Thank you for taking it all in stride and giving excellent care to Jynxie, Boo and Van. I really appreciate all you do and the loving care you provide. Thank you, Donna”

“Madde is the absolute best!! My dog had a medical issue that needed immediate attention and I was thirty minutes away at work, however, Madde took our dog to our vet and waited there with her until I could arrive. She even waited there with me until my dog was released. Madde truly cares about the wellbeing of the animals in her care! She is willing to go above and beyond to make sure they have the best care. We are so very blessed to have Madde as part of our team!!”

“Emily is always my go-to sitter to drop in on my pup! She is extremely responsive and responds to booking requests within minutes. She is friendly and I know my dog loves her. She sends great updates and is extremely reliable.”

“Emaline is beyond great! This was my first time using the app and she was so helpful to explain everything. She was so kind, followed all requests, sent pictures and updates. Would 100% recommend!”

“Marissa, helped me in a pinch with a last-minute request for drop-in visits with my cat when I left town. She also agreed to an extra day when I decided to extend my trip. She communicated well with me before and during. I will definitely use her services again!”

“Brittany took great care of our pets! She has a calming energy and a natural way with animals. She did an excellent job of communicating with us and sending pictures of our pups while we were away, putting us at ease knowing they were in good hands!”

“Karlina did an outstanding job watching our two dogs when i went out of town. She was prompt every visit and kept me updated on how they were doing. Our dogs loved her. I definitely recommend Karlina to care for your pets and will be using her in the future.”

“Molly was great! I can tell she really cares about the pets she watches. Very thorough with both the check-ins and photos. I would ask her to care for my cats again!”

“Jackie was fantastic with our shy cat, Ditto. He started out under the bed and 2 days later he was begging for pets and talking her ear off. We came home to a happy, relaxed boy which is not usually the case when we travel.”
“Carrie sat with my dog, when I was on a day trip. She never disappoints. I was pleased she noticed his hard food bowl was low and filled it for him. Above and beyond, since she was there for his wet food dinner. Jesse and I thank you!”

About: Friends and family have trusted me with their pets for over six years. I love being active and enjoy taking dogs on long walks. I also have three cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for both cats and dogs. Whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet like part of the family. I work full-time at a school, which means I finish in the afternoon and have plenty of time in the evenings to care for your pets. I'm usually available for evening walks, drop-in visits, and weekend sitting. My schedule is consistent, making it easy for me to build a reliable routine with your pet! I provide care in your home to help keep your pets comfortable in their own environment. I follow all routines closely and make sure your pet feels safe and loved while you're away. I have experience administering medications and following special feeding instructions, including morning and evening meds.
“Faith was great and bonded with our cat (he is fussy around new people so that was a pleasant surprise)! I would recommend her and will continue using her services on future trips.”

About: My whole life there was an animal in my household. So ever since I was 5 years old I would help out. It started off as just feeding the dogs but as I got older I gained more and more experience. Taking the dogs on a walk, letting them outside, simple grooming, administering medicine, etc. Dogs and animals alike have a special place in my heart. They truly are man’s best friend. Even if it isn’t my personal animal it is my goal to give your furry friend the same care and affection that they deserve. I’m currently a college student in my sophomore year. I miss my dogs now that I’m not home, so I truly do give other people dogs as if they are my own. My schedule is mostly open in the evenings and I’m more than willing to work things out, even outside of hours that are listed in my profile. I would want to get to know you and your dog before I come into both of your guys domain. I would follow directions however you desire and most importantly treat them as my own fur baby.
“Our first weekend away in a long time, but knowing Annabelle was coming to take care of our dog Teddy really brought me peace! She is incredibly sweet, qualified, and the first time we spoke was for over an hour. Even though sometimes teddy was confused we were gone, Annabelle went above and beyond the call of duty to make him happy. We are extremely grateful and would definitely ask for her help again.”

I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! While I was away, they took great care of my dog and kept me updated with photos and messages, which was really appreciated. It was obvious my pup was getting lots of attention, playtime, and love. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands. I'll definitely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pet. 🐾😊

Lydia is a wonderful pet care provider!! This is our second booking with her to care for our two cats, Oliver and Nadia. Recently, Oliver has struggled with IBD and Lydia provided extra care to assure us that Oliver was still on the road to recovery. We highly recommend Lydia for your pet care needs!
I never worry about my cat Tigger when Katelyn takes care of him. She is always so dependable! He is 15 years old and takes medication twice a day for his thyroid. He just loves her! Thank you Katelyn! I don’t know what we would do without you! ❤️. Virginia and Tigger

Kayla was amazing taking care of my pets in my home! Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Delaware. On Rover:

- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
