“Kirsten and Nicolas were great! They sent pics during the whole stay and were very communicative. They also have a fenced in back yard that they let the dogs run around in. They updated us when the pups appetites were low, which I really appreciated. Both of our dogs tend to be anxious without us because they aren’t used to used to being alone, so it was also a big plus that they work from home. In the past we have had to send our pups to kennels because we don’t have friends or family near by who can watch them. They would be locked in a kennel all day and we would literally have to pay extra for belly rubs or time out of the kennel. I usually feel uneasy the whole trip but not this time. I could tell they were well taken care of and treated like one of their own. Thank you so much Kirsten and Nicolas!”

About: I grew up with cats and became a dog owner 20 years ago. I have trained 2 puppies. I have a lot of time on my hands to care for your pets. I am a teacher and I am gone weekdays 6:15-3:30. I do have a daughter that comes home daily from 10:45-11:30 to let the dogs out. I have one Boston Terrier and he loves to play. I have a fenced in yard and plenty of room to run around. About: I took care of my neighbors four cats when I was a teenager, and I have owned several dogs and one cat over the course of my life. One of my dogs had canine cognitive decline (dementia), so I am familiar with that and all of the attached issues. I currently work two days a week in downtown Columbus, but that means that I am available some Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Otherwise, my schedule is flexible since my other work is self-guided. I like to make sure that pets are comfortable and that my presence is not an imposition on them. This means that I am on the lookout for signs that they need to go outside or that it is meal time. I give them as much attention as they want and then let them do their thing.
About: I have taken care of many dogs and cats throughout my experience. Of mostly all ages and even multiple at a time. The most cats i have ever had is 4 at once! I am currently a college student so spending the night at peoples home would not be an issue. Not crazy available on weekends but can definitely ask! The most classes i have are 3 at once so 3 hour break from being able to come over. I make sure to feed my pets breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “Nicole made me feel very comfortable leaving our fur baby with a meet and greet, and then later after drop-off, sending pictures immediately after we left of our Jack settling in with her dog. I felt so relieved and could enjoy our vacation! She checked in and sent pics regularly. Our highly active Jack was well exercised and crashed out when he got home! “We’ve never left our dog with anyone outside the family, but I’m pretty convinced that Ellie felt like Rachel and Jeff WERE family after a week there. There are no words for how grateful we are for their excellent care! She was happy, comfortable, and loved on (I know from the pictures!), and I’m not sure she actually wanted to come back home! I sort of hate to so highly recommend Rachel and Jeff in case they get too booked up to watch Ellie again, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take. We drove more than an hour to them, and after this experience, I’d have driven six. They were wonderful with Ellie but even more lovely as people. I wish I could give more than five stars, because they deserve it!”
