Both of our dogs tend to be anxious without us because they aren’t used to used to being alone, so it was also a big plus that they work from home. In the past we have had to send our pups to kennels because we don’t have friends or family near by who can watch them. They would be locked in a kennel all day and we would literally have to pay extra for belly rubs or time out of the kennel. I usually feel uneasy the whole trip but not this time. About: I grew up with cats and became a dog owner 20 years ago. I have trained 2 puppies. I have a lot of time on my hands to care for your pets. I am a teacher and I am gone weekdays 6:15-3:30. I do have a daughter that comes home daily from 10:45-11:30 to let the dogs out. I have one Boston Terrier and he loves to play. I have a fenced in yard and plenty of room to run around. My dog can be crated if needed.

About: I took care of my neighbors four cats when I was a teenager, and I have owned several dogs and one cat over the course of my life. One of my dogs had canine cognitive decline (dementia), so I am familiar with that and all of the attached issues. I currently work two days a week in downtown Columbus, but that means that I am available some Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Otherwise, my schedule is flexible since my other work is self-guided. I like to make sure that pets are comfortable and that my presence is not an imposition on them. This means that I am on the lookout for signs that they need to go outside or that it is meal time. About: My whole life there was an animal in my household. So ever since I was 5 years old I would help out. It started off as just feeding the dogs but as I got older I gained more and more experience. Rex and her dog, Bandit, hit it off right away, which made the transition so much easier. Since this was Rex’s first time away from home since we rescued him, I was naturally a bit nervous.
