“Caitlyn is wonderful! I love my kitties above all else, and worry to death over leaving them. I had to leave them for a week-long work trip for the first time in a new community. She came over beforehand and I could tell she was very organized and caring. She asked a lot of good questions that showed she has experience, things I would not have thought of. She came every day and sent me an update and lots of pictures. I always knew what was going on each day, even that my basement had flooded a little from the rain we got! It meant so much to me to know they were cared for and safe. She also kept everything very clean and had clearly swept around their litter boxes etc. I definitely highly recommend Caitlyn.”

“Melissa did a wonderful job with our cat while we were away on vacation last week! Our cat is usually very shy around new people, however she bonded very quickly with Melissa! I looked forward to the daily pics she would send me & the updates! It was really nice having the peace of mind that she was well looked after while we were away. Melissa was very reliable each day & went above & beyond!”

“Emaline is beyond great! This was my first time using the app and she was so helpful to explain everything. She was so kind, followed all requests, sent pictures and updates. Would 100% recommend!”

“Sara has been awesome with our big pup! I had to ask for something very last minute and she was able to come to the rescue. We had detailed updates and I felt so comfortable knowing she was taking good care of our loved one!”

About: I love all animals. I would love to be able to care for your doggies, cats or any of your other pets when you can’t be there. I work full time but am available to drop in on or walk your pets in the afternoons after 3:30, in the evenings and on weekends I will make sure your pets are well fed and watered and whatever else they might need. And they will receive many snuggles and love!
“Carrie was great with my cats and made sure they had everything they needed while I was away. Highly recommend her. She was on time, spent time visiting and giving them affection and it was reassuring to know they had some companionship while I was gone.”

About: I will always make sure I give your baby the love and attention they deserve! I’ll be sure to give them all the scratches and kisses they want and tell them what a good boy/girl they are. I have my 2 kids, Honey and Callie. My husband and I rescued Callie-11, a lab/boxer mix. We also have Honey-2, pit bull. She joined our family at 8 weeks old. Honey and I went through therapy dog classes as well. She is AKC registered and a Certified Canine Good Citizen. I am currently enjoying being a stay at home dog mom so I have plenty of time to either pop-in to let your fur babies out or take them on a walk around the neighborhood. I am available to either stop in to let your fur baby out for a potty break or I can take them for a walk or a bye bye.
About: Our senior rescues passed on last year; I want to care for others animals as I did for them. If you are going on vacation, out of town, or having a long day at work, I can check in with them. My work is sporadic, but I am taking time off and re-connecting with furry friends. I can spend several hours a day with your pets as needed My house does have a fenced back yard. We love very close to the bike path which is ideal for walks. If they have specific diet concerns that is good to know as well.
About: My whole life there was an animal in my household. So ever since I was 5 years old I would help out. It started off as just feeding the dogs but as I got older I gained more and more experience. Taking the dogs on a walk, letting them outside, simple grooming, administering medicine, etc. Dogs and animals alike have a special place in my heart. They truly are man’s best friend. Even if it isn’t my personal animal it is my goal to give your furry friend the same care and affection that they deserve. I’m currently a college student in my sophomore year. I miss my dogs now that I’m not home, so I truly do give other people dogs as if they are my own. My schedule is mostly open in the evenings and I’m more than willing to work things out, even outside of hours that are listed in my profile. I would want to get to know you and your dog before I come into both of your guys domain. I would follow directions however you desire and most importantly treat them as my own fur baby.
About: I am a trained veterinarian assistance (over 10 years experience) with a background in positive reinforcement training and grooming. I've also done a lot of work with special needs dogs (deaf, blind, amputees, behavioral issues, megaesophagous, Degenerative Myelopathy, diabetes, ect.) as well as being a certified therapy dog handler and trainer with Black Paw Canine. I worked for 10 years as a full time veterinary assistant at non-profit, full service vet clinics in Columbus and at various dog boarding and training facilities. I work part time as a Firefighter/Paramedic, so I am looking to fill my spare time doing something else I love! I wish to tailor the experience for each pet I meet. I can play, run, cuddle, groom, administer meds, train, you name it! It all depends on what your pet enjoys and what will be most beneficial to them! Thank you for trusting me with your furry family members! You can rest easy that with my years of experience and my time in veterinary and human medicine that your furry family member will receive the best care! I typically work one-two 24hr shifts with my fire department and then am completely free on my other days off. This gives me plenty of flexibility to help work around other schedules! Each pet gets a specialized care plan based on their needs. This will be discussed in length as to which things you'd like me to work on with your pup or what things we can reinforce when I care for your pet.

About: I’ve been around and have taken care of my own dogs since I was 10, any age, any size. For as long as I can remember I’ve never not had a dog of my own. They were not lying when they said dogs are a man’s best friend. I treat my fur baby like he is my literal baby because in a sense he is. And I treat any other dog just the same! :) I work full time m-f 9-5. I let my own fur baby out of the cage and he is monitored on a camera and watches tv while I am away. I can easily leave your fur baby out or they can be crated. I come home on lunch break to take Gravel out. I can only do boarding during the week but I have open full availability on the weekends. My own fur baby eats 2 times a day one morning one night. Gets treats often 🤭 and gets all the cuddles. I will treat your dog with the very same love and care as I do mine. Gravel is very loving and has been begging me for a play mate. Can’t wait to see where this goes.
About: I’ve been taking care of my 15 year old dog since she was 8 weeks old! She now needs a lot more potty breaks than before, requires medication occasionally and waits for me to give her massages after waking up because her arthritis is worse in the morning! As you can see she needs extra catering to since she has gotten older. She is spoiled and cuddly and I love every second of it! I’m a social worker who does “home visits” for children during the day. My job is community based therefore it gives me more flexibility with my daily schedule. I think mental health is important therefore I believe in daily walks for myself! I will walk as long and as far as your dog will allow me to go! I have a wooded walking trail in my neighborhood that allows for exploring opportunities for your furry family members. 😊
About: Hi there! I’m currently working full time as a mother-infant registered nurse. I love caring for humans and animals. Growing up, I helped care for my family’s pets including dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and guniea pigs. In college I spent some of my free time volunteering at the local dog shelter. After graduating college, I adopted my dog, Essie, here in Columbus. She is my soul dog! Essie’s had numerous health issues, including a seizure disorder. She’s also very dog reactive and shy with new people. Because of this, I will only watch your pet in your home, but I am open to caring for animals that have special medical or behavioral conditions. I look forward to meeting you, your pets, and providing the highest quality care for them! I work 12 hour night shifts 3 days a week as a nurse, so I’m typically available any day of the week during the day. I typically have my work schedule a month in advance for a 6 week period. I want to keep your pets safe, happy, and healthy. I’m happy to follow your routine with your pets including play time outside, many potty breaks, going for walks in your neighborhood, etc.

I have done two years of animal care in Delaware Area Career Center along with equine training. I am a huge animal lover of all breeds, sizes and ages. I can provide/perform walks, bathing and grooming. I have done dog training before and am willing to work with any/all types of breeds and ages I will be willing to do night watches if needed and I have my own pups for interaction. I will be loyal to your companion and be compassionate to your beloved fur babies!
About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. Willing to take care of any kind from cute and fluffy to slithery and slimy. I love animals! I dream to be a biologist and I’m working on research for my school. I’m working weekends only at the moment at my job and I go to school full time. So I want to take Fridays to take care of animals for some small income to help pay for college. And for some experience. I won’t take animals into my home but I will make sure your animal is fully comfortable when taking care of them. Taking them on the same route as they usually do walking, all their normal activities to make sure upmost comfort when in my care. I’ll also take one dog on a walk at a time to make sure they get as much attention and care as they need. I can also handle many animals at once as I’ve done so in the past!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
