“Emily was wonderful. Stella is very shy, but she didn’t hide when Emily came. We were very pleased with the care Emily gave Stella. We will definitely have Emily come the next time we’re gone.”

“Karlina was an absolute lifesaver! We had a last minute need on a HOLIDAY and she came through. Our dog was immediately smitten with her. We knew Obi was in great hands and we could relax and enjoy our time away. We will DEFINITELY ask Karlina to watch our doggie again.”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover offering reliable drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and reptiles. As the proud owner of a dachshund, a corgi, and a bearded dragon, I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog needs a potty break and playtime, your cat needs company and care while you're away, or your reptile needs feeding and habitat checks, I'll treat your pets like they're my own. You can count on me for attentive care, clear communication, and plenty of updates so you can travel with peace of mind.

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a little kid, so very comfortable with pets! I am a nurse currently at OSU so wanting to give back to some dogs near me! Very big on animal rights as well :) With my normal week schedule being different almost every week it can be hard to find certain days! However, every week I’m open 4 days with my nursing schedule! I am more than open to do different things if needed, but really looking at walking, feeding, letting them outside, playing, and just entertaining in general! Not really looking to ever stay overnight anywhere though!
“Loni did a great job taking care of our two cats. She sent prompt updates, including photos, and ensured that the water fountains were filled and litter boxes cleaned each day. She also took the time to locate our more timid cat, who is a master hider, to ensure he was okay. Would definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 25 years. You can rest assured that I will provide your beloved pooch with the love and care needed while you’re away. I’m happy to take them on walks, feed/water, play tug, throw the ball, or just cuddle with them. I will do my best to spoil them with love and attention. My career offers me flexibility. Most days I work from my home office, but am able to work anywhere there is Wi-Fi. I’m happy to welcome your pet into my home, visit in your home, or provide drop in care. I have a large fenced in yard with two hypo allergenic dogs who absolutely love to make friends with other dogs! I live in a safe neighborhood where I walk my dogs and would be happy to walk yours as well. If you’d like your pup/pups to stay in their home, I’m comfortable coming to your residence to take care of him/her.

About: I have owned, watched, or cared for dogs and cats for most of my life. I have experience with all ages of dogs and cats. I am currently between jobs, so I have plenty of time daily to come over and play with your pups/hang out with your kitties! I will always use a leash when out with your pet and keep an eye on them in the yard. Their safety is my priority!

About: I have many years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’ve always had a genuine love for animals, and spending time with pets is something I truly enjoy, not just a job. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and gentle care. I provide reliable feeding, walking, playtime, and basic grooming, and I always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, medications, and special instructions so your pet receives the same care they’re used to. I’m currently working part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention and care. Starting in June, I’ll be interning Monday–Friday from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, but I’m still available for drop-ins on evenings, and overnight care. I’m also very open on weekends for boarding, walks, and extended stays, and I always make time to prioritize each pet’s needs. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment in your home where pets feel comfortable and cared for in their familiar space. I follow all routines and instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and crate preferences if needed. I’m attentive and patient, and I make sure pets are always supervised and secure. I treat every pet like my own and focus on building trust so both pets and owners feel completely at ease.

About: Growing up I was always around dogs and had a dog of my own that I took care of. I loved taking him on walks, little trips, and even out to a lake. I’m coming home from college and have all the time to hang out with your fury friends! I’m available week days and able to come on weekends if needed. I have a fenced yard that allows a bunch of room for running around and having fun. I am also able to put the dogs on a leash or in a crate if needed.
“Elaina has been by far the best catsitter we ever worked with! She was very thorough with each visit at following our instructions and kept us updated throughout the visit. We felt so at ease that our boys were safe this past week. Thank you!”

About: I have owned, fostered, and volunteered with animals for over 10 years. Not only that, I have experience with providing animal therapy in a clinical setting for the last two years. Dogs and cats hold a big piece of my heart and I genuinely love to accommodate to their needs. I have experience raising puppies and kittens, taking care of elderly cats and dogs, and dogs and cats that have behavioral problems. I am familiar on how to care for dogs that have aggressive tendencies, anxiety, and hip problems. Likewise, I have experience handling cats with aggression and timidness. I am a small business owner and have days where I work from home. I could use that time to not only make extra money, but spend time with dogs and cats as well! I make sure to provide as much affection, activity, and attention to my pets to the best of my ability. Which I ensure the same treatment is given to your pets too. Depending on what service you would like me to provide, I am more than happy to go on long walks with your dog, offer enrichment, or maybe you have a lapdog that just needs a temporary companion. I am dependable and have the experience and genuine care and trust to ensure your pet has the best experience possible.
“We had a meet and greet with Destany before hiring her and we (my cats and I) loved her immediately! While I was away, I left detailed instructions that Destany followed perfectly! She went above and beyond to care for my cats and sent a ton of pictures! Amazing first experience with Rover and I will definitely be asking Destany to come back!”

“April did a great job caring for our 2 cats. Communication was easy, she consistently sent us updates and pictures, and the cats received full care. What I especially appreciated is that she did not just come in, but also spent the full half hour playing with them and giving them some love. Would recommend!”

“Chloe was wonderful. She let my dog, Birdie, out to potty when I had an exceptionally long day at work. She was reliable and had excellent communication. I would absolutely recommend Chloe.”

“Marissa, helped me in a pinch with a last-minute request for drop-in visits with my cat when I left town. She also agreed to an extra day when I decided to extend my trip. She communicated well with me before and during. I will definitely use her services again!”

This is the second time Loni has done drop-in visits for my cat, SunElla, who means the world to me. She was even able to find SunElla’s secret hiding spot just so she could get a picture for me, which I was so looking forward to seeing. I appreciate her extra efforts so much. It gives me such peace of mind knowing I can rely on Loni’s services because I know SunElla will be cared for properly. Loni is dependable, friendly, kind, and truly a wonderful person. I am so grateful to have someone I trust to look after my SunElla, who means everything to me. Thank you Loni!

Lauren was once again a perfect sitter for our senior cat! Loved the photos every day and she is always well taken care of. When we were supposed to have winter weather, Lauren also asked what she could do and made sure our thermostat was at a certain temperature as not to have any issues. We are moving out of the area and I know my cat will miss her vacation times with Lauren! Thank you for everything!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
