“Jamie is fantastic!! This was my first time coming back to rover since the pandemic and she made it easy for both Finney and I. She sent me pics and updates and made me feel okay getting back to normal. I would 100% recommend her and am looking forward to having her watch Finney from here on out!”

“Madeline stayed with my babies over night which I much appreciated it. She sent pictures daily of them. The 1st day with them she didn;t leave which made them feel secure. Felt like they were loved and taken care of since have 2 puppy mill moms and 3 cats which think Zoey maybe slept with her since the room she slept in Zoey has now claimed for her room.”

“What an amazing experience! I could not recommend Katlyn enough. I was out of town for 8 days, I have two dogs and Katlyn went above and beyond. Not only following the norms my pups go through, but also being extremely responsible and treating my home like her own! If you’re in need of someone to watch your pets/home, I would HIGHLY recommend using Katlyn.”

About: My family has had animals all my life and I always have felt drawn to all kinds of pets and feel like I get what they’re saying without speaking! I love energetic play and having full conversations with them. I’ve taken care of newborn cats and dogs to adult cats and dogs. No specific experiences with senior animals but willing to learn! I work a full time job from 8-5, Mon-Fri. But I am more than happy to spend each evening and morning as well as the weekends with your cute and furry family members! I will give them ample about of social and play time while also following family specific rules for crating or free roam time. I can take them to a dog park and be energetic with them if allowed and can give all animals cuddle time as they deserve!
“Emily is an absolute gem of a dog sitter!! I was out of town for 6 days traveling and my Timber girl had the time of her life while I was gone. Emily gave me updates in the morning and night with lots of pictures, videos, and a general layout of their day. You can really tell that she loves animals and treated my dog as her own. For a little added touch she even left a note for me to come back home to, how sweet!!”

“I'm extremely pleased with the overall care that Erin provided my two kitties while I was away on vacation. Erin was super communicative throughout her stay and I really appreciated the pictures and updates. She provided medication administration for one of my cats twice a day and followed my instructions for both cats perfectly. She truly allowed me to enjoy my vacation without worrying about anything back home. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent sitter and look forward to booking her for future stays!”

“Sandra is a great pet sitter. Our dog was very well cared for and we felt very comfortable the entire time we were away. Took great care of the house too. Already booked her for more trips.”
About: I am a very patient and animal-loving person, with two little ones of my own. I have fostered animals in the past and was so happy to give them all adoring homes. I love the outdoors and will give your dogs plenty of fresh air and exercise. I am pretty flexible but my available is currently centered towards the weekend and willing to accommodate each individual's needs. A balanced and strict diet is very important to me when feeding my animals so the same mentality will be brought when taking care of your angels. I have either owned a dog or been surrounded by them my whole life and can never get enough! I have full respect for any details that might be important to any owner and I look forward to meeting your furbabies soon! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have full availability and a flexible schedule. This allows me to provide dependable care that works around each pet's needs rather than fitting them into a busy timetable. Whether your cat needs morning visits, evening check-ins, medication at specific times, or extra attention while you're away, I can accommodate a variety of schedules. Having open availability also means I'm able to spend quality time with pets, provide consistent care, and be available for last-minute bookings when possible. I enjoy building trust with each pet and making sure they receive the attention, comfort, and routine they're used to while their family is away. When caring for pets in a client's home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding schedules, refresh water, clean litter boxes thoroughly, administer medications if needed, and provide plenty of attention based on each pet's personality and comfort level. Whether a cat enjoys playtime, brushing, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I tailor my care to their individual needs. I also keep the home tidy during my visits, clean up any pet-related messes, bring in mail or packages if requested, and provide regular updates with photos so pet parents can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for. If caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment with plenty of supervision, enrichment, and affection. I make sure pets have access to fresh food and water, a clean space to relax, and the attention they need to feel secure and at home.

I can’t say enough about the love and care she gave to my boys. Highly recommend Megan for any and all pet care needs!”

“Janel took care of our babies just like we would have! We received daily updates, pictures and videos! Definitely makes your heart feel good! Our babies just adore Janel and I would not hesitate to book with her anytime we need a reliable, honest and caring sitter.”

“Monica helped me with a pretty short notice request. She followed instructions and really went above and beyond. She took my dog to a park and got him a pup cup and she didn’t have to do all that. Put me at ease while out of town knowing he was living his best life with Monica! I will absolutely be using Monica again when something comes up.”

About: I’ve raised dogs my entire life! I just moved away from my 3 dogs at home and I miss them so much. I also helped raise a 4PAWS dog throughout my last 2 years of college. This is my first time truly living without a dog and I would love the opportunity to help out! I am currently working part-time in my research lab during my gap year while applying to medical school. My schedule is extremely flexible on weekdays and weekends! I always make sure my dogs (and all dogs I watch) are on a leash, in a fenced yard, or have an invisible fence system in place. I additionally give so much love and affection past the basic services provided! I will love your pets like my own, ensuring they receive the best care.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dublin
We have a very anxious dog but after we were gone for a day I knew I didn’t have to worry. Olivia was always in touch with me and sent many pictures. She has just the right demeanor for anxious dogs and Phoebe took to her quickly. Giving meds and dealing with Phoebe’s different foods and odd schedule was not a problem for Olivia. The house was left clean and she even cleaned the bathroom! Would use her again when she’s not in school. We were gone 5 days and all was well when we came back. Thanks Olivia!

Hayley is an excellent dog sitter and I would definitely recommend her. She is especially qualified with her degrees in zoology and her training and work experience as a dog trainer at Petsmart. She watched my dog Birdie for 5 days, staying overnight and did a great job of caring for, giving meds to, walking, and even training my dog. Thanks Hayley.

Jennifer H.did a wonderful job taking care of our cat and our house while we were on vacation, We were gone 11 days. She was very conscientious. She brought our mail in and took our garbage out. She was very caring toward our 11 year old, grumpy cat. Our cat ate well and used his litter box per usual. She gave him the space and distance he needed and made us feel comfortable that he was doing well so we could enjoy our time on vacation. She texted us with daily photos to keep us updated. I appreciated all of these texts. I will use her services again and I can highly recommend her services. Thank you Jennifer for your amazing care.

Wow! Sophie was responsive, responsible, and so so kind. We have a pup who was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness that we are still trying to figure out. Sophie was able to jump right in so we could still go on our long-planned vacation. I was nervous about leaving our pup with another person, but WOW! Sophie kept me updated while still allowing me to have time away. She was absolutely wonderful with our pup. It feels like a relief to know that there are people like Sophie who will love your pup and care for them as much as you do!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dublin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dublin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dublin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
